“Wonderful dinner at Roja last night! The Crudo and Pork Belly were incredible, with the pork belly absolutely to die for. The Ribeye was one of the best I’ve had in a long time, and the lemon custard was the perfect finish. My mom likes her salmon very well done, so we asked the kitchen to cook it a bit more, and they were so kind and obliging about it. A truly lovely experience. We’ll be back!“

“My gf and I got 1 lb of snow crab, half lb of clams, half lb of shrimp, extra potatoes and corn with their signature Loui sauce. They give a free side if you get 2 lbs+ of seafood. We got the garlic noodles which was amazing with their seafood boil. If you like garlic, this is a must have! The food was fantastic and atmosphere was great. Service was standard - no complaints!“

“We went to Surmai yesterday and honestly, the food was fabulous. We tried the prawn thali, the special thali, and the paplet thali, and every single dish hit the mark. We ended up so full we could barely move, but in the best way possible.

Chef Sheetal came by our table and was so warm and welcoming, it made the whole experience even better. You can tell there’s real care that goes into the food here.

“Our take-out fish and chips were disappointing. Chips were undercooked and not crisp. The fish under the brown hard crust was OK but the whole presentation was unlike any light crispy dish our family has ever had as fish and chips. Not a repeat meal for us.“

“We went to Fashion Wok only to discover that it has become part of Home Eat and moved to the corner of the same street. There are a lot on the menu, with some catered more for non Chinese. We ordered the half lamb hot pot, it was tasty and had generous portion that came with a small side dish of tofu, vermicelli and vegetables. We recommend this dish and would suggest skipping the set lunch that seems to be more for non Chinese.“

“Good place to take big groups, went with 11 family member on a Friday night for dinner and they accommodated well. The seafood tastes fresh and the portions are good.
The garlic noodles are a must try.

On the weekdays it's not busy for lunch and they have a great happy hour menu, M-F 2-5pm.
Oysters are fresh and creamy. Edemame came in a big sharing portion.
I like the shrimp and fish tacos, only on the happy hour menu.
The chicken can be dry sometimes but the flavors are good.“

“We love Burmese food. For years, if we wanted Burmese food, we would have to drive at least 30-40 min to SF or South Bay, so having Burma Spice in our neighborhood is a dream come true!

Burma Spice hosted our daughter's high school graduation luncheon on May 23rd and we couldn't have been happier! We had about 30 guests in a separate area in the back of the restaurant. Kham and Raymond were so nice and helpful in planning the menu for our gathering.

Everything was served family style. We ordered
- Tea Leaf Salad- the perfect ratio of fermented tea leaves and ingrediants.
- Samosas- light, crispy, and so flavorful
- Nan Gyi Thoke- the noodles were perfectly cooked, not mushy, and the curry was creamy and delightful.
- Basil Lemongrass Chicken- fresh basil, and lemongrass really made this dish a popular topic.
- Pumpkin Veggie- Nice ratio of pumpkin and other veggies, very hearty.
- Kebat Lamb- savory, packed full of rich spices, the onions add so much texture and flavor as well.
- Jasmine Rice

Plus plenty of yummy tropical cocktails for the adults.

They set up a little table for the cake, and some graduation items that we brought. They really went out of their way to make our celebration comfortable.

Everything was in generous portions, fresh and expertly prepared. My guests raved about the food and service. Some of my guests had never tried Burmese food before and now in their meal rotation.

We didn't realize that we had stretched into their rest period between lunch and dinner because they were so gracious about not rushing us.

I highly recommend Burma Spice in Redwood City for any meal or occasion. The restaurant is such a gem in our neighborhood and the service is friendly.“

“Kinda my favorite place til recently. Waiter F’d blamed me. 4 dined, we gave our order. 1 person changed their order, so 3 meals ended up being the same, then there was mine. They ended changing my order instead of the other person, he argued with me until he realized he messed up, never said sorry, and then still got my order wrong by cook my salmon well instead of veggies, which they forgot to add, but I paid anyways, to go.“

“I came here and ordered a kimchi raice bowl with skirt steak and brussel sprouts, there was also cucumber and as a person who hates cucumbers I can say I loved these and the brussel sprouts were absolutely delectable everything was amazing and fresh. “All the food we ordered is wonderful and tasty. The water is filtered. We had dumpling, baozi, Nanjing salty duck, smoked fish, chao-ma noddles, pork pickle fried rice. We loved them all, especially, dumpling and rice. The portion is large and price is lower than most in the bay area.“

“One of my fave dumpling places—only place that I found that had lamb handmade dumplings. The handmade dumplings are always so juicy and flavorful.
