“Having visited Chef Chu in Los Altos on multiple occasions, I've found the dining experience to be generally pleasant, albeit with room for improvement. The restaurant boasts some delectable dishes and a welcoming atmosphere, but there are notable areas that could be enhanced.Firstly, cleanliness standards need attention, particularly regarding glassware and cutlery. On several visits, I've observed dirty glasses and teacups, suggesting subpar cleaning practices. It's perplexing for a renowned establishment to overlook such basic hygiene, leaving patrons questioning the maintenance standards.Another aspect warranting consideration is the imposition of a limited dining time. Despite patrons wishing to linger and enjoy conversation after finishing their meals, there appears to be a rush to clear tables, even if dishes still contain food. This policy detracts from the relaxed dining experience expected at a high-profile restaurant like Chef Chu.On a positive note, interactions with some waitstaff have been delightful, reflecting the friendly ambiance cultivated by Chef Chu himself. However, consistent efforts are required to ensure all aspects of service align with the restaurant's esteemed reputation.Regarding the cuisine, while some dishes excel, others may fall short of expectations. It seems that char siu might not be the restaurant's forte, highlighting areas where culinary refinement could elevate the overall dining experience.“
“We loved the cioppino and the cheesy garlic bread. As usual, the crispy shrimp bites are fantastic. We are always seated right away for our reservations and everyone is extremely nice and efficient. Their outside seating area is roomy and fantastic.“
“Souper souper enjoyed the Tofu soup. We went here because we were supposed to go to another Korean Tofu resto in El Camino but they were closing early so we decided to try this place. And it was a good thing because we felt that this place served even better Tofu soup. We liked that they offer choices on what to put in the soup and just the taste was perfect to eat during a rainy night. Also servers were very accommodating and friendly, bec I got confused and mentioned one order but later realized that I ordered something different than what I wanted but they were gracious when I asked them to change and quickly ran to the kitchen to change my order. Order saved, happy customer.“
“An absolute favorite that I am sure to visit on every trip to the Bay. Very unique fusions of Indian and Californian flavors with something for every palate. My favorites are the sesame leaf, burrata kulcha, house salad and dry boat scallops. Also don’t sleep on the cocktails. Very nicely crafted.“
“Indulge in an exquisite journey of Indian Speciality cuisine at this remarkable restaurant, where seafood takes center stage unlike anywhere else in the Bay Area. Each dish is meticulously crafted with a symphony of aromatic spices, delivering unparalleled flavors that tantalize the senses. What truly sets this establishment apart is the genuine care and attention from the owners, who personally engage with every patron, eagerly gathering feedback and ensuring each diner's needs are met with utmost satisfaction. The selection of fish here is nothing short of exceptional, bursting with distinct flavors that redefine seafood dining experiences. If only I could award six stars, I would without hesitation. Here's to hoping this gem expands its footprint across the country, sharing its unparalleled cuisine with countless more food enthusiasts.“
“Wow I was blown away! The workers are extremely nice. They gave us potatoes and corn on the house because we mis read what the meal comes with. We insisted they add it to our tab but they refused. That enough says a lot. The sauces are Aahhhmazzzingg. Almost like a glaze like sauce. So much flavor. Everything was fresh and tasteful. Recommend 10000 percent !“
“In search of a late lunch and the gorditas here caught my attention. Order comes with 2, and I went with the chicharon. May look small, but it was filling. Loved the texture of the crispy masa shell. Flavors of the inside was good, too - would've liked more of the chicharon. I'd definitely return as there are other menu items I'd like to try.“
“We are big fans of Home Eat. Takeout here is consistently good as they have their own deli area of take away dishes but you can also dine in. When we dined there, we got the lamb hot pot which was nice to share. The highlights are the fried chicken wings which are so tasty. We haven't had any bad dishes here and they usually have affordable specials per month. They also give some freebie dessert sesame balls which was a nice touch. A solid Chinese place if you're looking for consistently fair priced & good food.“
“We ate at La Viga Seafood & Cocina Mexicana. It was nice. I thought it would be a bit fancier because I saw it recommended somewhere. The seafood dish with different kinds was really good, especially the shrimp. The tacos cost $6 each, which seemed a lot, but they tasted great. The chips were the best part—they were not greasy and very crunchy. They gave us two kinds of sauce; the green one was the best. The cold beer was also really good with the food. Even though I expected something a bit different, we liked it a lot and want to go back to try more dishes.“
“Interesting Chinese restaurant. Been there twice. A large selection of dishes - some very tasty, some for everyone. The portions are large (as was noted, many take two dishes for three), the price category is average, the staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite clean. The only thing that didn't please me was the toilet. I wish it was cleaner there. You can take food to go. I was pleased that they thoughtfully provided you with napkins, cutlery, and even fortune cookies.“
“Great atmosphere for a date night! We ordered the salmon tartare, rose tteokbokki, and kfc cauliflower for appetizers. All of them were great but I was most impressed by the tteokbokki! We followed with the short ribs and the basque cheesecake dessert. They were good but the appetizers were more impressive. I was also disappointed that they no longer did the sweet potato chiffon cake :(“
“first time at this restaurant amazing food service was impeccable Ken was our server his recommendations were fabulous we had the wedge salad and shrimp appetizer very good then the tomahawk steak was A1 i had the filet mignon spinach and potatoes i would go back for sure .“
“Stumbled upon this spot because my girlfriend and I were looking for a quick take out place. We found parking really close and ordered through a tablet. We got our food in 15 minutes! We got the spam musabis, chicken katsu and bbq chicken plate and the short rib chicken bbq plate. The portions are huge and the service was really nice. They also gave us a stamp card so after ten orders you get one for free! Definitely will be coming back.“
“Had clam chowder and fish combo plate. Chowder was great as usual and server accommodated our request to add bacon bits to the soup. Fish (pollack) was flaky and tasty; big slice too.Parking: Street parking in front, lot in back. We were there at 4pm on Monday so plenty of spaces in front.“
“My cousin went to this restaurant few days ago with me. The service and food are both great. This is an American-Japanese fusion restaurant and we just had perfect steak and fish filet, also the waiter is fantastic, very friendly and talkative. I'll go back again for sure!“
“Flemings earns 5 stars for me because it hits all the levels for this style of restaurant. That is to say; a high food standard restaurant operating inside a large corporate business zone. So your atmosphere is clean, light and casual enough for work team dinners while still having an up scale appearance & feel.Clearly defined open bar space and well stocked wine selection.Parking: The main parking lot serves all the local business in the center so it is dynamic. You can drive around until something opens, or you can use the parking garage that adds a bit more of a walk. They have their own valet service right at the front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: While we dined we noticed a few families with younger children & even babies & toddlers. The accomodations appeared to work for them & the other patrons.“
“Always amazing food and great vibe. My favorite oyster bar on the West Coast. They recently expanded the wine selection, which is awesome. One member of my family is a vegetarian and her options were limited to just salad or sides (they were out of the pasta). So some work is needed on expanding vegetarian options. Would be a perfect score and I love this place, but this time the 2nd round of drinks and bread took forever to get to the table. That oyster bake is very rich and without an accompanying libation just doesn't reach its full potential.“
“Clean, festive, and incredibly delicious! I tried the calimari the first time, a quick stop, and was impressed with the clean, lovely restaurant, the service, and the incredibly perfect appetizer. With a little more time today, I decided to try the dine-in experience... even better! The chips and delicious house salsa are accompanied by a generous portion of lime... trust me, a few drops of lime unified and elevated this simple appetizer. Care was obviously taken when choosing this combination, and the chips were hearty and flavorful; possibly stone-ground? The shrimp are fresh, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with decadent flavor. Add the excellent produce and incredible sauce and you have a can't miss experience... the lowly shrimp is elevated to VIP status here, carefully prepared and paired with incredible fresh produce carefully prepared. Hands down the best tacos camerones I have ever had. Run, don't walk, to try this cozy, beloved restaurant just off Saratoga. You will thank me, I promise you!“
“There has been nothing in the menu we do not like. The best appetizer is the roti with chicken curry. The Curry is a non spicy coconut milk curry. The best salad is the green tea salad. It has a slight kick even if you drop the jalapeños. The best soup is the samosa soup. For entries there are lots of good options, but I like the fiery dishes. They are sweet and spicy.Think of Burmese food as Indian, Thai, and Chinese fusion. If you like any of those cuisines you can find something you would enjoy on the menu.“
“My friend visited me last weekend and we decided that we wanted to go to a steakhouse. This place was just amazing. The service and the food was just spectacular. I ordered a tomahawk and it was just delicious. It was perfectly cooked to my liking and I will be returning here again.“
“Great food and service, atmosphere is clean just old. Crunchiest and best tasting cod ive had in the bay area. Fries are good not super crispy could be better but the fish is tops. Chowder is delicious just like mama used to make. Calamari is good too very fresh.“
“The menu at Rincon Sabroso is a masterpiece in itself, showcasing a wide range of dishes that highlight the richness of their cuisine. The attention to detail and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients were evident in every bite. I had the pleasure of sampling several dishes, and each one was a work of art.“
“We came to the area wanting to try out Dan Izakaya, but there was a long wait. We walked by this hidden gem and saw the food pictures looked delicious, so we decided to dine-in. There was not a lot of people sitting inside, but there were a lot of people getting take out. We ordered pork soup dumplings, Nanjing salted chicken, mixed fried rice and green onion pancake. It was a lot of carbs and filled us up since we were starving. The nanjing salted chicken was the highlight. There's maybe not a lot of places that do it this well. It is a lukewarm style dish and the flavor of the salt on the tender duck was delicious. The dough from the green onion pancake and XLB had a nice chewy texture, very homestyle-like. I would pass on the fried rice next time. This is a family run restaurant and very cozy vibe. It was inexpensive for the Bay Area and we just spent around $50 for the meal. Would definitely come back and try their other dishes. They have talented chefs and it is a good spot to go to or have take out, to enjoy something similar to a home-cooked meal.“
“Everything about this place is awesome. From the manager to the hostess , everyone is greeting you with a smile. There's no member of their staff that don't seem to not want to be there. Everything there is a positive vibe. Cheers.“
“Nice menu focused on seafood, with a large choice of starters, pasta, panned fish, tacos, lobsters, shrimps, etc. Everything was good (nothing fantastic either), including the desserts. Excellent service. Spacious and comfortable room inside, a few tables outside in the center of Saratoga.“
“It's been almost 8 months since we returned to Rustic House. We started off with the clam chowder and we weren't disappointed. The seafood pasta and mahi mahi taco was SO delicious and fresh. Mauricio was our host and he did a superb job. With so many restaurant to choose from in San Carlos, we hope to come back soon.“
“My wife and I enjoy eating at fish's wild for few years now. We live at the Markham apartments and really say that it's been one of the biggest perks of living there is the proximity to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is not fancy and customer service is definitely above average but nothing too wow factor. But the food is really outstanding and the portion sizes last a while. I get the chicken katsu there which is a mountain of fried chicken cutlets and the sauce is great. The also always prepare my food in under 10 minutes and I would sometimes call and walk there (4 minute walk) and when I arrive the food is ready. The price is good relative to the portion and not to mention that you get two large sides for all the plate entres. My wife raves on their baramudi fish and gets it weekly. I highly encourage people that want tasty food for a good price and timely service.“
“Great tasting tacos, enchiladas, burritos - and excellent value. Pastor, carne asada, camarones, tripas-yes, yes, yes, yes! Good, fast, friendly service. Parking can be tricky at Chevron, so park at McD's. They're only open until 5pm, so get your taco fix early.“
“This place was amazing, the lomo saltado was so tasty and delicious that I asked for an order of it to go, that’s other than the one I ate.The yuca frita, el arros chaufa (might of misspelled that, see picture was phenomenal. We were visiting family and they recommended this restaurant.A must try restaurant and embody the Peruvian culture, oh yeah the decorations were nice also. See all pictures“
“Every time I come to this place and every time I forget to write a review). The restaurant is very clean, the staff is kind and courteous, the portions are large, the food is quite tasty, the price category is above average. I am attaching the menu and photos of the dishes.“
“Ordered Thai ice tea, yellow curry and pad kee mau and both were absolutely delicious. This is my 8th or more time coming here and this place beats the best Thai restaurants in the Bay Area. Family owned business and they keep the food bar high. Highly recommended!“
“Food was soo good and comforting. We got the old pot sauerkraut fish soup and coconut lava balls. Both were super yummy and fulfilling and a really good portion size. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the coconut lava balls - crispy on the outside and warm and lightly sweet on the inside side, with tapioca in the filling as well. It was really well balanced so it didn't feel heavy even though it was lightly fried. Will definitely be one of my go to desserts. Service was efficient and friendly. But don't expect anything too attentive as it gets pretty busy and they have a lot of customers to serve. Ambiance was a bustling, family-friendly environment. You can tell that they get a lot of regulars and people come here to eat good food. A bit of a hidden gem. Parking - there is a small parking lot but it can get filled up pretty quickly. I circled around and was lucky enough to catch someone leaving and take their spot, but can be a bit of a struggle.“
“Although there were no tables available when my party arrived around 6:45pm on a Sunday evening, they told us we could start getting our food in the meantime. Pretty cramped store. Not as many ingredients as I would've liked to see. Sauce bar was also very limited. I went with the beef bone broth base (mild spicy) with ingredients like udon, quail eggs, veggies, beef, etc. Beef was pretty good! I'm usually not the biggest mala fan but the mild spicy broth was pretty good. My parents thought the medium spicy beef bone broth was a good spice level, but too salty. They liked my mild spicy one better. Food comes out pretty quickly after you get it weighed and hand the bowl over to them to get it cooked. The food came out piping hot! Overall good option if you want a fun experience of building your own bowl. So if you're craving hot soup and want a fairly quick meal (assuming no wait), then this might be a good spot for you!“
“It is the staff at Pacific Catch Cupertino that really makes dining there such a treat. It's like having drinks and dinner at a Friend's house only they cook you whatever you want. Galinda continues to be the most wonderful person. Oh yeah, great drinks, great food and if you are not doing the rewards program you are crazy!“
“Great Taiwanese dim sum location, very delicious.Beef noodle soup ? - the handmade noodles were bouncy (in a good way) and the meat was tender. I liked the bits of tendon on the end.The XLB (A1 and A13) were great.Fairly large seating area, a variety of table sizes. I prefer the tables since the booths didn't look very comfortable. It was like sitting against the wall at 90 degrees (tho not everyone leans back).“
“Happy Lamb hot pot always hits the spot on a cold day. There is usually a wait (as with most hot pot restaurants) but they now use the Yelp waitlist function, which really helps for large groups. We always go for the split pot with half original soup base and half spicy- the spicy is that "ma la" type of spice that is a bit numbing. I do wish that the peppers in the spicy broth were put in a tea bag of some sort- I always inevitably scoop some into my bowl on accident. For add-ins, the mixed mushroom combo platter and the vegetable combo platter will give you a good variety of items. Also highly recommend the thinly sliced marbled lamb and ribeye meats. Their house made meatballs or fish balls are both delicious!“
“A hidden gem in EPA! This place is pumping out awesome food! We came in a group of 7 people and sat down pretty quick. We sat outside in the patio seating and it was very nice a cool breeze came through there and the decor was nice. We looked through the menu and started to make our order. The food was good the vampiro tacos are on point I loved the shrimp ones very good! The sushi rolls they had were also smack! Enjoyed the salmon roll we had. Beer and seafood you can't go wrong with that! This place is a must try spot right next to Pal market on university before you head to the bridge. Thank you to the friendly staff and awesome chefs in back!“
“Very good, delicious and above all very varied, everything we have eaten is in excellent condition in portions and above all the flavor is very Sinaloan, the prices are very affordable and the service is fast and careful, the family atmosphere is excellent ?“
“We love the quesabirrias, mango ceviche tostadas and campechana! But what brings us back us the warmth and attentiveness of the servers Liz and Karina. The owner Luptia and Arturo are a hoot! The kitchen staff Andrea and the gang are awesome.“
“Such a guilty pleasure! It's in an odd location to buy fried chicken bur the chicken was hit, crispy and moist inside! It's take out only so no comments on the service. Location was a 7/11 type store. The other KKC I've been to was in a gas station. You don't go here for the ambiance or how the place looks. You come here to fill a craving. Food was good. The cornbread was good. I'll pass on the fries next time. I'll come back again when I'm craving fried chicken.“
“From observation, this restaurant is a typo Korean sushi restaurant serving the typical sashimi, nigiri and rolls. There's a hidden menu at the restaurant that is called ahead or reserved only. They bring in live yellow farmed halibut and octopus weekly for really fresh sashimi plates. These are whole fishes only so go with at least 3 ppl. They also carry good sake to go with the sushi.“
“If I could give this place six stars, I would! My experience at Noodle Talk was nothing short of exceptional. Their dishes are exceptional – perfectly cooked and bursting with authentic flavors. The menu offers a variety of options, and the rice noodles are a must-try. Cooked to perfection, each strand had the ideal texture, neither too soft nor too chewy. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make dining here a delight. If you're craving delicious Chinese rice noodles, this is the place to be!“
“Amazing food that is a traditional but regionally unique cuisine of southern coastal Mexico along with the kind of dishes you would typically expect. There are many dishes I usually only have had the pleasure of enjoying when friends or coworkers share homemade. Good, but not over the top presentation. Hearty portions for everything I have tried so far. For example, the sushi rolls are a solid meal on their own.If you have never been to a rural Central American beach town, you might find the atmosphere oddly "rustic", but I am confident the owner knew exactly what they were doing in creating an authentic atmosphere of where his recipes are from.Feeling adventurous, love good Mexican seafood, or looking for another Hawaiian shirt dress code restaurant, don't miss out.Parking: Exclusive lot in back.Kid-friendliness: Yes?Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.“
“My fiancé and I enjoy coming here! This location has a nice atmosphere with a large interior, a nice outdoor space with fire heaters, as well as a bar inside.I have only tried a few food items here, but have always enjoyed getting the protein bowls (pictured is the “Mexican Grill” bowl with shrimp from tonight). Some of the cocktails are tasty as well. We recommend trying one or both of the cocktails with passion fruit.Just wanted to throw a positive review out there since we’ve been here at least five times now, and I got a couple nice photos of our food today! ?“
“My son came from San Francisco to eat Tacos Y Mariscos El Gordo's steak burrito where I eat often. This mom and pop Taco truck is what I think of when I crave authentic "MUCHO DELICIOSO" mexican food... I continue to rate 5 stars!“
“I love poke house in general and this location is one of the cleaner nicer ones, but can the new guy please put more on! I get significantly less food when he helps me. Bowls come out to over $17 for the smallest size which is normally enough to feed an adult all the other times I've been here, the food should be touching the plastic top, not safely under. Please don't sprinkles the toppings on as if they're made of gold dust, and put a reasonable amount on :) thanks!“
“Had lunch here with family on a Sunday - there was no one other than another couple and we love the peach and quiet at the marina. Feels like a picnic. The food is decent, not fantastic and not bad. We had the mixed platter, clam chowder and fish salad. People working in the food truck were very nice. There;s not a lot of foot traffic on the weekend - hope they survive long enough. Will return.“
“Nice upscale seafood bar and hang out spot. The atmosphere is chill, the staff is super friendly. I got the fish and chips with an old fashioned to drink. The food was flavorful, the fish was fried perfectly, it was not over cooked like other spots. The fish itself was fluffy and soft. It also came with some coleslaw as well. The cocktail was good. Decent pour, just the average amount of bourbon. Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you got a group of family or friends just wanting a chill spot to hangs out and have good seafood!“
“Enjoyed this Japanese Izakaya very much. Super fresh delicious seafood, authentic flavors, friendly service. A great place to hang out with friends. Their rice bowls are top-notch delicious. The sashimi set is great value for money with massive pieces of fresh fish. We also ordered a okonomiyaki sampler platter with all 4 flavors to share which was great.“
“We were craving a carbonara but we tried plenty of other items on the menu as well. We must have been hungry because we ordered a garlic shrimp and a bruschetta for appetizers. Then a risoto, bolognese, tortellini and a medium pizza Pompeii. For dessert we shared a limoncello tartufo. Service was great. The style was more of an old school Italian, nice sauces, perfectly cooked pastas. The pizza bread was thick kind and the toppings tasty. Our favorites would be the tortellini and bolognese but the rest were equally nice. The dessert was divine and I am usually not a fan of lemon. Bread is served with dinner with butter and a nice dipping sauce.“
