“This is a welcoming restaurant with a very gracious manager! Three of us had lunch there on Sat. for the first time. We opted for indoor window seating but there is ample and comfortable outdoor seating, as well. The Wiener Schnitzel was tender, the Eggs Benedict tasty, the arugula salad fresh. Next time I will try the Jäger Schnitzel. The Sacher Torte was perfect! We were treated to extra birthday desert--without asking for it--which was a thoughtful gesture. Naschmarkt was spotless clean, and the kitchen ventilation works well. It is very suitably located at the quieter side of California Avenue, close to public parking.“

“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! The staff were attentive, quick to refresh water glasses, and even took care to replace the table felt, keeping everything spotless and comfortable. As for the food, everything was solid and well-executed. The salmon was prepared nicely — classic and straightforward. The wild mushroom pasta was the highlight of the meal, rich and flavorful with great depth. The shrimp tacos were another standout; fresh, well-balanced, and seemingly made completely in-house.The only drawback is the pricing; it’s definitely on the higher side for what you get. “This is probably the best restaurant in Sunnyvale! Literally everything was perfect. Valley Goat is everything you’d expect from a Michelin star establishment. They have perfected and mastered their flavors along with cooking every dish to the absolute perfection. Of the 10 dishes we ordered, including dessert, there is literally nothing to critique. Even the cocktails were masterfully crafted and balance.

On top of an absolutely stellar dinner, the ambiance of the entire restaurant is mesmerizing with the greenery and modern elegance of all the decor.
