Vahl's Restaurant & Cocktail is the coolest bar in the bay area with a movie set/Vegas vibe. The bartendress Elva is wonderful and serves culinary delights like chile colorado and chile rellenos. It's an old-school hangout worth the drive, where everybody knows your name. They only accept cash and serve lunch food from Thursday to Saturday. Remember to tip your bartender and mind your manners to keep the retro atmosphere intact. A must-visit spot in San Jose for a unique and friendly experience.
