I love the new variety of flavors every week and how they’re so unique and different than the generic cookies you buy in the grocery store. The price isn’t too bad either! For a box of 6 cookies it’s $22 but the cookies are HUGE. I can never finish one by myself so I leave them to the rest of my family. Also pro tip download the crumble app so you can earn free rewards. 100 points equals to $10 you can use towards the cookies.”

I have been wanting to stop by for ages, and I stopped in this afternoon after dropping off my kid for music classes across the street. Sadly just ate lunch so no need for pastries but I can always do an iced latte! They serve Chromatic brand coffee and you can get it with a variety of syrup flavors: caramel, hazelnut, raspberry, etc. $6 including tip. Honestly, it is a STEAL for handcrafted coffee compared to Starbucks - and it supports the neighborhood! We’ll be back for pastries, Preligen!”

I only come here for my Grilled Pork with rice noodle and fresh herbs. Their special Fish Sauce is what makes this dish so good. Together with the grilled pork aroma, the sauce brings out a deep and sweet harmony in every bite.

For an authentic taste of Vietnam Northern cuisine, this is the place to go to.”

“Nestled in the heart of San Jose, I can truly say I have found my favorite restaurant. For any newcomers to the city or locals looking for a new go-to bar, Goodtime Bar is the spot. It goes without notice the effort this restaurant makes to create a sense of community: DJ nights, guest chefs, wine club, run club – all specially designed to bring people together. I never write reviews, but this jewel deserves all the accolades. Beyond the electric atmosphere, the vast natural wine selections paired with novel cuisine make every visit an experience that elevates my palate. The carefully crafted dishes show the detail chef Alex gives to every order. Diverse ingredients embrace a fusion of cultures, with familiar dishes like Caesar salad (Endive Caesar @ Goodtime), pasta (Bucatini @ Goodtime), and shrimp tacos (Tacos Dorados @ Goodtime) delivering a magical explosion of flavors. I tend to find myself methodically portioning out my meal - not wanting to reach that one last bite from my plate. With a rotating menu, every visit is an exploration of new tastes and has cemented me as a regular.

“TBH I was hesitant at first to eat at Acopia. As a vegan, most Mexican restaurants do not usually have options for me. Their menu is somewhat minimal and limited, so entered with few expectations or hopes that I could order anything more than a salad. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The owner came to our table and was most accommodating. I ordered a succulent nopales salad, street corn and some delicious blue corn sopes de calabasita (zucchini and flower). It was all quite tasty and I was even more surprised when she brought out some vegan mayo AND vegan cheese to top off my food with more flavor. The atmosphere is very modern and simply styled, mirroring their “chic” food menu. I found the food delicious though a bit on the bland side, but was grateful that they came through for me and my vegan diet. I left sated and happy that I could fully participate in the meal alongside my meat-eating friends. The owner was very thoughtful and really went out of her way to make sure I had plenty of choices to order. Although it was a bit pricey, I will definitely go back again. The modern ambiance, the attentive service and the fancy yet rustic food combined to make a lovely evening meal.”

Ordered the Mapo Tofu Rice Set, with side dishes, Pan-fried Plant Based Chop Set, Avocado Rolls, I got the Happiness Over Rice - it was sweet and totally devoured it! I also ordered the Avocado smoothie, one of my favorites sometimes other places make it too watery. This one was fluffy and very tasty! For dessert we shared the Chocolate Tiramisú. The Short Ribs are were tender moist and delicious, served over a small serving of parsnip purée. My seafood pasta was deliciously sauced with generous portions of shrimp and salmon, though a little more pasta would have been nice. Crème Brûlée was delicious. Prices are moderate, appropriate for quality. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful,. Decor is minimalist but tasteful. Overall very enjoyable, a good time was has by all!”

​This spot has become our favorite destination for a relaxing wine night, whether it's a casual evening with friends or a date night. The cozy atmosphere is consistently a hit with everyone we introduce to the place.
​What really sets it apart are the owners, Nici and Ty. They are incredibly friendly and offer great recommendations. It was a pleasant surprise that they recognized us months after our first visit and even remembered my girlfriend's preferred wine! We also love their flexible flight concept, which allows you to sample any of the wines available for a single set price.
​It's also an excellent choice if you're looking for a laid-back wine bar before heading over to a Sharks game!”

“I ordered a 4 tier cake for my wedding. I asked if they would be able to do the old vintage cake designs. I was told yes. I sent several detailed emails and pictures of what I wanted. The cake was NOTHING close in design, outside of 4 levels, nothing else looked like the pictures. Only one of the colors, only a couple flowers. Then, 1 hour into the reception the cake fell over. I never even got to cut my 4 tiered cake! When I brought it up after, she blamed the heat. There was air conditioning in the venue! She offered to redo it for pictures. I agreed then never heard from her. I contacted her multiple times and I just today get an email from her saying she can't do that after all. I lost money, had a mediocre cake that looked nothing like the inspo picture I sent, and had my cake fall over and barely salvaged enough for the guests. This is a horrible business who doesn't care about making a cake for something as important as a wedding. My dream cake was ruined. I should've gone with someone else. What a horrible bakery. Liars and unprofessional. If you don't know how to do vintage designs don't sat you do! And do not offer a remake if you don't mean it! If you're looking for a multi tiered wedding cake, do not use them!”

“Reached House of Bagels around 10 AM on a weekend, and there was already a huge line outside the door—which definitely raised my expectations. Even though the line was long, it moved at a surprisingly good pace, and we were able to place our order in about 20 minutes.

We ordered:

* Two sausage, egg & cheese jalapeño bagel sandwiches
* One with tomato basil cream cheese
* One with jalapeño cream cheese
* A Double Dutch Mocha
* And a chai tea

The service was impressively fast because we got our entire order in less than 5 minutes.

They have a few outdoor tables, but since it was drizzling, we decided to take the food home instead.

The bagels themselves were soft, fresh, and nicely made. I personally wished the jalapeño bagel had a bit more jalapeño flavor compared to similar bagels I’ve had elsewhere, but overall the sandwich was very satisfying. The sausage, egg, and bagel ratio was spot on, making every bite balanced and filling.

The tomato basil cream cheese was absolutely delicious and added great flavor to the sandwich. The jalapeño cream cheese, however, was a bit disappointing and lacked the kick I expected.

Special mention for the Double Dutch Mocha—easily a 100/10. Rich, smooth, and honestly one of the best drinks from the meal. On the other hand, the chai tea was disappointing and tasted more like warm milk with a little cinnamon rather than actual chai.

Overall, it was still a really good experience, and I’d definitely go back to try more items from their menu.”

Craving for it all weekend so came back on Monday and had to wait a while bc they ran out of bread and had to go out to get more. Then found out afterwards that they substituted my xu mai for a piece of spam!! Oh well. Still yummy. Gave them one less star for the inconsistency. You order at the counter and they give you buzzer to come back in 10-15 mins to pick up. Not much of a customer service, 1 lady and 1 man working, since they are so busy cooking it fresh to order hot and sizzling for the cold food court, lol. It’s a great $20 meal that comes with hot tea and salad too!”

“I was in town for work and met up with my team for dinner at Terra in San Jose. There were 12 of us, and it turned into one of those evenings I'll remember as much for the conversation as the restaurant itself.

The dining room has a warm, inviting feel. It was busy, but everything flowed smoothly. Our servers kept an eye on the table all evening, so we never had to wonder where the next course was or whether anyone would come by to check on us.

The menu offers plenty of choices. Around the table we ordered appetizers, fish, pasta, salads, and desserts. I chose the grilled yellowfin tuna, and it was cooked perfectly. One thing that made us laugh was the salad. A colleague ordered one, and we both expected a medium-sized portion based on the price. Instead, it was enough for about three meals. She kept joking that she'd ripped off a rabbit's dinner.

Would I go back? Definitely. If I'm back in Santa Clara, Terra will be on my list.”

The food was so delicious that my wife came back to the downtown location the next night with her friends before they went to see “ And Juliet” at Broadway San Jose!
