“Omogari is an all-around great experience. The price is fair, serving sizes are ample, and the quality of the food is high. We especially love the meat jun here and the spicy pork is solid. I don’t recommend the seafood pancake because it’s a bit thick and doughy. The side dishes are great as well. We love the service, especially with the waiter giving us a to-go container of sauce to go with our leftovers. Highly recommend.”

“Roots Bistro is in a busy lot filled with noise and activity, but once you walk in I noticed the interior was super cozy and comforting. The spot wasn’t super big but the layout was very well done. First we started off with the Vietnamese egg coffee which was SOO good. It wasn’t crazy sweet and had a LOT of coffee flavor so I definitely enjoyed a lot more. Then we got the pork and shrimp spring rolls which were pretty good. There was so much mint in the spring rolls. They were quite tasty as the spring rolls came with a nice sweet peanut sauce that tasted really good with the dish. They weren’t anything really special though. Then I got the wagyu rare steak and brisket pho which was STEAMING when it came out so it was super fresh. The broth was mellower than I usually like though and all the noodles were just clamped together which was saddening too me. Although, o ex everything was mixed up it tasted pretty good. The beef was sooo tasty. There was so much ft and flavor and it wasn’t super overcooked which can happen sometimes in pho. Again this dish was nothing special but it was still good. The service at Roots Bistro was decent, the servers were very kind, but they weren’t the most attentive. I would deefinitely come guan just for the portions sizes and prices because it was quite affordable. OVERALL I would definitely recommend Roots Bistro to others for their drinks and spring rolls, but I probably wouldn’t come again because it was t the best Vietnamese spot I have been too.”

“My husband and I lived in San Jose two years ago and came back to visit. This is an incredible and welcomed find. The beer was both delicious and made with unique ingredients that gave their beers a distinct edge. We didn’t eat while here but the menu had some great choices. We will definitely be back on our next visit.”

The hubbie and I reaaaaaally enjoy this place! There are 2 locations in South Bay, one in Campbell and one in San Jose. Their food is always consistent at both locations, and the portion is humongous! The pricing is reasonable as well especially with the large portions. It’s a bit harder to find parking at the Campbell location during prime time (weekend brunch times). There are more parking at the San Jose location with the nearby neighborhood. The service is efficient and quick.

I always get the big boy breakfast, because I love all the proteins. My husband ordered country fried steak for this visit, and he changes his order each time and has no complaints for each dish.

Some orders come with a hot griddle side and you have options to pick between 4 types and customize it to your liking. I have ordered pancakes, crepes, and waffles. My favorite so far is the chocolate chip waffles (SO GOOD!!). The waffles were perfect consistency and crunch. Crepes were my least favorite, the flavor and texture weren’t like crepes I’ve had before. The spread that came with it also wasn’t the greatest combo with the crepes.

Bottom line: Good price, large portions, good flavors. Will keep coming back!

“I haven't been impressed by a restaurant in such a long time. I did not expect for that to change when we went to Jack's. Upon arriving we were greeted and sat right away. The entire place was clean and open. Our Server Agja sp? Was one of the best servers we have ever had. She was so kind. She was very knowledgeable in the menu and able to answer all our questions. We were there in the evening but was still able to answer questions and give suggestions about their breakfast menu as well. From the runner to even the busses were all so friendly and for the first time made us legit feel like family. I ordered the Meatloaf as it's rare to find this on the menu and my Partner ordered a pasta dish that was similar to a favorite he had at a now closed restaurant. We both fell in love with our meals. ABSOLUTELY 100% AMAZING! I go a floMo I think it was called and added peach and even that was perfect. Our first time there and we felt like regulars, now you truly have made us regulars. We cannot wait to try breakfast this weekend and are actually excited about it. This location has been through so many different restaurants and never stay long. We sincerely hope that this one lasts forever. We have lived here for a long time and never truly had a favorite spot until now. I'm a restaurant manager and am still blown away by our experience 5000 stars. Thank you for doing it right, from the customer service, to the drinks, to the food. A true Diamond in the Ruff! My brother, sister-in-law, and mom shared a second bò né and almost had leftovers. The cow shaped sizzling plate was unique and very cool!My favorite part was the warm toasty bread that paired perfectly with the juicy tender steak and paté! Next time we'll definitely see if we can get two though since we were practically fighting over it.We went on a Monday around noon and it was about 20min wait in line before ordering, then about 15min for the food to come out. Absolutely worth the wait, but it's good to divide and conquer to pick up some apps (i.e. spring rolls) from places nearby/grab a table when one frees up! Food court is a bit small, but cleaner than I expected, with several bussers on standby.

Parking: Parking is easy to find in the Lion plaza and then it was a quick walk to the food court. Only odd thing was the food court entrance had a big "Dance Studio" sign out top.”

“What a low key and hidden place! Definitely slept on in the area!! I ordered 2 Asada, 1 Barbaca, and 1 Carnitas taco. The asada were super tasty, and with a tad of lime juice, they didn’t miss!! The carnitas also were not dry, and was the perfect amount of food! The Barbaca they me for a loop, I’m not used to the “carne guisada” style, of dish. It was flavorful and reminded me of a mole style dish. But I tried it, it wasn’t my favorite but if you are looking for a low key place! This is it!

“Decided to try this place based on Yelp and Google reviews and am very very happy with how delicious and fresh the food is and would highly recommend it. I am generally skeptical of any Asian restaurants that serve more than one type of Asian cuisine, but this place has really surprised me. We ordered two Thai dishes - pad kee mao chicken and spicy basil fish. Both dishes were delicious!!! The chicken in the pad kee mao was so moist, the noodles were perfectly cooked - not over cooked at all like many places tend to do with rice noodles. Both were seasoned perfectly and all the ingredients tasted very fresh. My wife and I will absolutely be trying more of their dishes in the future.

The owner is extremely friendly and sweet as well - as many have stated. Turns out she ran a successful Thai restaurant for over 12 years. It definitely shows!!!!

Its on the pricier side compared to the rest of fastfood chains burgers but on the affordable side compared to other gourmet burgers joints.”

“I've always tried the locations in SoCal, and with so many food options in this area, I haven't gotten the chance to try this spot until recently.

The store is set in an outdoor area with plenty of seating. Going in and out and getting my ice cream took around 10 minutes. Those space is small, so there was often a line out the door.

I was able to try many samples. At this time, their special flavors were all related to beer. My friend was a big fan of them. I tried the traditional flavors though. I ended up going with one that surprised me, the blue cheese and pear ice cream. I'm a huge fan of pear and I loved the pear chunks, and I also love blue cheese (on my chicken wings); the funky flavor surprised me with how much I liked the balance of the two.

You can't go wrong with the lavender flavor either. The olive oil as well as the Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavors were interesting too.

Service was exceptional! I'd come back.”
