“The food was the bomb! The mac and cheese was off the hook delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it! My hot link was cooked perfectly. My wife had the fried fish with the yams and fries, and loved it. In fact, my son, who had the maple pecan waffles and chicken, finished off my wife’s fish, along with the cornbread muffin and fries. The food was so delicious that my wife came back to the downtown location the next night with her friends before they went to see “ And Juliet” at Broadway San Jose! We definitely will be back to the downtown location before our next Broadway SJ show,and plan to go to the other location on Monday!“

“This store is expert of Chinese BBQ for a long time. Roast ducks and piglets are the best among San Jose BBQ stores. Squid is tasty too. I will go back here for sure. I hope the store can look a little bit clean and neat. It will definitely attract more customers.“

“It's a food truck restaurant. But they have covered seating which they share with another pop up Mexican restaurant.A sign in the sidewalk directs you inside a driveway. It's the covered restaurant right there in the left. You can't tell because the sign is for the restaurant they share the eating space with.Menu is very limited but it's well prepare and good.Lumpia is fresh; he rolls and then deep fries them right there. The chicken with garlic rice is tasty. The garlic rice is actually white rice topped with toasted garlic. Try the pork and tocino skewers.“

“Hole in the wall Korean BBQ and ramen joint. Don't expect much for ambiance, just a walkup counter and take your food to go. There's no restroom available and no free water.The cheese ramen is a delicious surprise - creamy, with a smidge of spice. The sandwiches are a pile of meat on bread, no veggies and sides are extra. I got the King sandwich, which is a pile of pork rib meat and hot links on a simple white bread roll. It was very good, but I'd like to add kimchi next time for some variety.“

“JC's has been my go-to BBQ spot for over 25 years. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their beef ribs! The meat is always falling off the bone. And they're big! The hot links are addictive, the chicken is perfect and when I used to work close by, on my lunch break I would frequently get their pulled pork. I'm obsessed with the garden salad & dressing!! Always so consistently fresh and crisp! Would recommend 10 out of 10!“

“I love bbq chicken ❤️I eat it twice a month. I always order two kinds of boneless chicken and cheese sticks. There are two types of batter, one is crunchy. The other is crispy like tempura. “I have been a big fan of Yummy Tofu for years, and looks like it’s now under new management.

Food is slightly different than before, the side dishes used to be more traditional which is personal preference.

As shown in this photo, the food was very fresh and the service was excellent. The staffs were very polite and handled food with care. Greatly appreciated it.“

“I have been looking for the eggs noodles soup with duck for my mom and this one hit the spot. She liked it and said she would be back.

In general, it looked pretty much like every other Chinese restaurant that has been around 20+ years. It’s all about practicality and you do not come here for the ambience or hanging out. You come to eat and then leave.

The menu range between $15-$18 and a portion is large. They give you a lot of rice whether it be plain rice or fried rice. We ordered three dishes and I think the egg noodles with duck was the best.

What was interesting to me was that they were about six people who worked there all the which have to be at least 60 to 70 years old men, which I found kind of strange (Saturday lunch as of Jan 2026).

While my rating is not very high, I would come back for that noodle soup with my mom.“

The roast pork should have better skin, since the one here the skin didn’t crackle all the way thru so it’s a little tough. But the meat is super tender. Their chicken cutlet with gravy is so good (same thing with their gravy fries), but a hot tip for your dipping needs is that they'll sell you the gravy separately if you ask for it.“
