Ok it's a chain. But it is a chain that offers some serious comfort food for me. I'll take a Hawaiian plate lunch over any mainland fastfood options any day of da week bruddah. I don't think I've ever tried this particular chain, but I think Imma fan it. I like it much better than L & L. For the value, the food is great. But what I don't like is the amount of "steamed veggies" the Chicken Katsu cutlets sit on. It's so misleading! I had some for the next day and ended up stir frying it, so I call that a win. I just wished that the veggies were cut into smaller pieces and wasn't provided as a bed for the meat but rather on the side. I had Hawaiian BBQ before but first time at Ono. Generally, I had a good experience and I'm open to come back.I got- A plate of Hawaiian BBQ mix (which is a mix of beef, pork and chicken). It comes with rice & macaroni salad. It's pretty good. I like the flavors of all the meat. I like pork most, then chicken then beef.
