“Stumbled upon this spot because my girlfriend and I were looking for a quick take out place. We found parking really close and ordered through a tablet. We got our food in 15 minutes! We got the spam musabis, chicken katsu and bbq chicken plate and the short rib chicken bbq plate. The portions are huge and the service was really nice. They also gave us a stamp card so after ten orders you get one for free! Definitely will be coming back.“
“Cocurry was here forever, but even the last time we came, it wasn't the same. Kong Sarang, on the other hand was hopping! The place quickly filled up after we arrived. That always happens to us. We ordered the seafood pancake and the combo of pork belly and tofu soup. They quickly served us with 8 varieties of banchan. I was a tad disappointed that we didn't get asked like the tables around us if we wanted any refills on the banchan. I felt like once we ordered and our food came out, we turned into red-headed step-children, and they forgot about Dre. The food was good. Comparable to Tofu House in Newark. The seafood pancake was hefty. She's a big girl. One could get full just off of that. We probably would return if in the mood for Korean food.“
“By far the best tasting bbq in the Bay Area. Not only is the food great but the staff are ridiculously friendly. Gregory is the nicest guy. When we showed up towards the end of the day he went out of our way to accommodate our order even though they had run out of some of the popular meats and sides.“
“My mom and I came to visit 2/28/24 and neither of us have had authentic Korean BBQ before. We were both so blown away. Everything was delicious and you could tell the owner truly cared about his restaurant and every dish that came out. He recommended the bulgogi japchae, the sweet and spicy chicken, and the potstickers. (Sorry for not getting exact names right) I ordered the soy garlic chicken as well. Let me tell you, that is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Every bite was crispy, juicy, and flavorful and all of the other sides were delicious as well. “Was looking for a new place to try with a friend today and stumbled upon Prime BBQ. Really nice joint in a quiet part of San Mateo, with some surprisingly tasty skewers at fair prices! Design of the restaurant is nice, and presentation of the food was great. My friend really liked the Chicken skewers, but I personally loved the lamb and beef skewers!! They also have proper bar inside for those who drink :) Would recommend checking out and having a fun night out“

“A group of us go for trivia on Wednesdays and we love the vibe! The trivia is a great mix of difficult and doable questions which makes it fun. The staff is friendly, the owner came up and introduced himself the first time we went in and now stops by to our table to say hi. They have a little kitchen that they rent out (I think) and the food that they serve is yummy! not sure if they've changed the menu since I was last in, but they didn't have chicken as a meat for the tacos which was a bummer since I don't eat red meat/pork.“

“I love this place as it offers one of the best Selections of Sizzling plates.You may choose your own type of meat (chicken-beef-fish with a side of veggies) or add on an appetizer.I also loved their hawaaiian plate with BBQ galbi,rice and macaroni.My ultimate favorite here is Beef Kimchi sizzling plate, calamari,walnut shrimp and crispy chicken,mango green tea,basic crispy french fries, etc.But im not a fan of potstickers though.Plus this place is super clean,with a clean bathroom as well.Servers are very attentive and approachable.I will definitely try other snacks and dish next time“
“One of my favorite Thai restaurants to go to! This place has incredibly reasonable prices and food quality is really. Food portions are really big and they taste really good. I usually get BBQ Chicken Dinner. It comes with shrimp fried rice with their special sauce.The place is really nice too though they should start replacing old lightbulbs with new ones. It’s pretty dim here, but doesn’t really change the fact that this restaurant is good for eating. Staff are very friendly when they use simple greetings to say hi to customers.I honestly bet that everything there is good based on foods I had here. Definitely will come back for more!“

The staff were friendly and engaging. While the prices aren't the lowest, you definitely get your money's worth and more. “We were not the most organized group of people when we came here. No one knew what they wanted we were a decently sized group and it took a while to get everything explained and handled. Their treatment of us was amazing they seemed to go out of their way to assist us and to be patient with us. The food was good I would definitely highly recommend coming here! “I wanted to grab some food after work and was in the mood for something new. I had passed by Toppings Too before when going to the old coffee shop. The interior is very small maybe sitting 6 or 7 different parties. I ordered the Adobo Chicken with Java Rice for takeout. The food was prepared in less than 20 minutes. The male cashier was very polite and quickly took care of me as I entered the restaurant. The food was very hot and delicious! He warned me to be careful not to spill the sauce. They accommodated my to go order by separating the chicken from the rice with some foil. I was very impressed with the flavor and scarfed most of the dish down quickly after receiving it. The price wasn't bad for the portion and quality of food! I will definitely come back to try some different dishes.“

“Great service, and the skewers were great! We ordered a variety of skewers and most of them, though a little pricey, were very nice. We particularly enjoyed the Chicken Thigh with Green Onions, the Bacon Tomato which was bursting with flavour, and the Beef Tongue. We tried the Scallop with Uni skewer, but felt that the flavours didn't work too well with each other. The Curry Gyutan Over Rice dish that we got was a bit disappointing though, as the meat was not that high of quality, so would definitely recommend sticking with ordering just skewers. Great atmosphere and nice seating on both first and second floors. You could also smell the grills of the kitchen, which definitely helped make this feel like an authentic Japanese skewer place!“
“Food here is delicious and you get large portions for the price. Usually takeout but recently came with 6 other people for lunch. Courteous staff and prepared food in timely manner. My go to place for chicken katsu plate, bowl, or musubi. Katsu sauce is not my thing so when I ask them to leave it out they always get it right. Wish the containers were compostable though.“

I couldn’t have picked a better place (apart from the Italian I discovered last night - but that’s totally different)! Do not miss the ribs wrapped in bacon to start, then I had melt in your mouth brisket as part of a plate (amazing corn bread!) and I just couldn’t resist the Nanana dessert despite feeling pretty full.
