“We've come to the age where we value quality over quantity when it comes to food; gone are the days of overstuffing ourselves at AYCE locations. As a result, we're always in search of new restaurants where the food really hits the spot and leaves us feeling satisfied. One of my friends recommended Baekjeong, as it was his favorite and go-to kbbq spot in the bay area. I was able to book a same-day reservation for our party of 6, and we ordered 2 large beef combos. The staff cooks the meat for you, and provides around 6 banchans and 2 salad types. Our server was Risa, who was super friendly and attentive, and we felt right at home with her. She kept everything running smoothly and made us feel so welcome. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. Since then, many days have passed, but I'll have moments where I think back and crave the food we had at Baekjeong. I'm always looking forward to the next time I can come back.
Additional notes: Free wifi is available. Restaurant is on the exterior of Valley Fair mall. Parking is by the Stevens Creek parking garage with a short walk through the mall; most of the parking directly in front is only for the bank. Entrance is on the first floor, but restaurant is on the second floor with both stairs and elevator access. There usually is a host downstairs at the entrance to admit you, and you wait in the waiting room upstairs. They give a free soda to designated drivers!“

“This is a nice street food you need to try. The menu has plenty of selections. I tried lamb skews, beef skews, bean skews, fried chicken bones, and the hot pot. I like everything, except the fried chicken bones. The food is mild. The owner is really friendly. I will come back to try others.“

“Tobang delivers a classic Korean BBQ experience with generous banchan, quality meats, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The staff keeps the table stocked, refreshes side dishes without being asked, and checks in at the right moments, which makes the meal feel smooth and well‑paced. Service is attentive but never intrusive, and the team moves with a steady rhythm that keeps the grill active and the table organized. It’s the kind of place where the grill becomes the center of the table and everyone naturally gets involved.
The food itself is flavorful and satisfying, from the sizzling cuts of pork galbi, cha dol baegi, and short ribs to comforting dishes like seafood tofu soup and kimchi fried rice. The seafood pancake is crisp and generous, and the Yakult at the end adds a fun, nostalgic touch. The variety of banchan keeps the meal balanced, and the mix of marinated and non‑marinated meats gives everyone something to enjoy. It’s a great spot for groups, casual dinners, or anyone craving a hands‑on dining experience with plenty of shareable dishes.
Overall, Tobang offers a dependable and enjoyable Korean BBQ outing. The atmosphere is warm, the portions are generous, and the service keeps everything running smoothly without rushing you. Whether you’re coming with a small group or a larger party, the experience feels communal in the best way, and the food delivers consistent flavor and comfort.“

“The aunties here are so sweet and are so very attentive/kind! Food-wise, they make a lot of their banchan from scratch and you can tell the food here has so much heart put into it. Maybe it's a good thing after all that we had an issue with our reservation tonight at that... other restaurant that starts with B and rhymes with pong... Found our new fave mom-and-pop kbbq spot! We will most certainly be back.“

“As far as food goes, definitely one of the best for HK type cuisine in south bay. Pecking Duck, Mongolian beef are definitely worth it here. Price can be a bit high but quality is nice and you get your food quick, unless you order clay pot rice which is also quite good.“

“I've only ordered takeout from this location, but I can tell the restaurant itself has that sort of local Hawaiian type of vibe. Yes, the portions are really big. My wife and I just ordered food for lunch and it'll definitely feed us at dinner too (and possibly a little bit for breakfast). The last L&L we would go to (Fremont) skimped on the portions, but it was the closest to our house at the time so we didn't really have a choice. Now going to this L&L (Homestead Rd., Santa Clara), we're definitely going to go here more often just because of the portion size! Highly recommended!“
“We recently ordered a shipment online. The minimum order was rather large but there's plenty to choose from so it was easy and it came fresh and refrigerated. Most of it can be frozen and it was all delicious after defrosting. We tried the sausage, ravioli and some sauces. The Gigli was a hit with the kids who are fussy eaters. The Linguica that I'd heard about previously is also superb. We cooked it in soups and stir fry dishes as well as on its own. Will definitely order again as the pasta/sauce combos make for an easy meal.“

“I had dinner at Milo’s Kitchen last night with a few close friends, and honestly, I was blown away. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming — dim lighting, soft jazz in the background, and the smell of fresh herbs in the air. We ordered the roasted garlic shrimp, truffle mushroom risotto, and the slow-cooked lamb shank. Every bite was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The portions were generous too. Our server, Jamie, was super attentive without being overbearing — she even recommended a wine that paired beautifully with the lamb. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in months.“

“Absolutely the best kbbq place I’ve had in Bay Area
Meat quality was amazing and the side dishes are amazing, (definitely get the kimchi noodles here)
The only thing better than the food was the service!!! It’s a smaller restaurant so the servers are very attentive and cook the meat perfectly for you every time
Can’t wait to come back“

“Mapo BBQ is our favorite spot for team dinners in San Jose. The food is always consistently delicious – especially the kkot-sal (beef sirloin), spicy gopchang bokkeum, and squid tteokbokki. No matter how many times we visit, the quality and flavors never disappoint. The portions are great for sharing, and the friendly, attentive service makes it a perfect place for group gatherings and company meals. This is the restaurant we choose most often for work dinners, and everyone always leaves happy. Highly recommended!“

“This fried chicken was so good!! All white meat, boneless and skinless. The breading is SO well seasoned and there’s lots of it to crunch on! I ordered the tenders, which were real pieces of chicken and not in uniformed, machine-cut shapes. I got a biscuit with my dish which was totally legit based on the southern cooking I’ve had in past. Steaming hot and moist. Not buttery so possibly made with lard. I had veggies for a side to try to ease my guilt for all the other calories. Those were definitely fresh, seasoned, and varied. Our table wasn’t clean but I didn’t care after walking around for 8 hours with two boys.“

“I want to take my time writing this review to let the emotions sink in the best way i know how to describe them.
Upon entering, you are greeted with a calm, loving greeting that feels like you are truly appreciated supporting their business. This is extremely important in the USA. After that, you are asked if you have been there before, and if not, they explain the process to you meticulously and at a perfect pace. There is no feel of a rush. The feeling I get is they truly want you to enjoy their food and they want to make sure it is right.
The food is expertly cooked with a smile and warm hello from the cooks. While your food is being prepared, the gentleman makes sure your food utensils and preferences are met before your meal makes it out.
Every time i go here, its magical. I feel relaxed and so happy to support this business. A business that loves their customers is hard to find nowadays. Working in the airport is stressful, and this is my grounding point that makes that work stress just another day with a smile on my face. Thank you Su’s!!!
