“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! My rating: 10++++“

“Order a large pep/sausage right after work for the family. Forgot to add Ricotta for the wife. Called back about 10 minutes later and they said they will take care of it. Wasn’t going to expect to get the extra added topping for free. That’s awesome and that’s why I keep going to Pizza My Heart in Santa Clara and in San Jose. Great people all the time.“

“Rocko’s Ice Cream offers very high-quality, flavorful ice cream in a nice and welcoming environment. Their taco ice cream is especially unique, creative, and fun to try.

The only downside was the service and preparation time, which felt somewhat slow even though there were not many customers. Overall, it is a great place for delicious and creative desserts, but the service could be more efficient.“

Not only do they have comfy rolling chairs and cool decoration / lighting, but it’s a chill energy in general. Reliable establishment since they open very late and they’re patient with explaining things if you need help.

As a woman, I can vouch that they are cool and respectful folks (to both genders).

Don’t forget to click off the time capsule to officially log off, cause turning off the computer alone will keep your hours running.“

“I had a good experience here. I paid 60 for a steak but I definitely recommend the upgrade to the 90 dollar ribeye. The soup was delicious and so was the bread . The potatoes and spinach that come with the meal are 10/10. I’ve been to many steak houses and this is the first time that not only were the sides free they came in abundance :)“

“This is definitely a dive bar, but with a friendly vibe. We usually go to see a friend's band play, so I can't speak to other nights.

The bartender also seems to be the owner (and only staff), but she's friendly and the prices for beer on tap are reasonable.

Despite having no bouncer, I've never seen any problems.

I think they serve a limited food menu, but I've never had any, so I can't speak to that.

“No pictures of the meal because it was just THAT GOOD. Tables back up to the parking lot so it's a little crowded but the coffee and the food are so incredible that I don't care. Absolutely fantastic and I feel like I haven't had breakfast as good as that in a while. Had the morning burger, Southside style croissant, and a side of tater tots. My partner and I split each and it was the perfect amount, everything was cooked perfectly and the fries and tots were crispy. I'll be dreaming of this food for weeks to come and I am so sad that I am not from the area and can't eat here every weekend.“

“My girlfriend and I have always looked at this place and took a chance and stopped by. It was really good. I had the wrap. Bathrooms are clean. They even have toothbrushes in the bathrooms so you can brush your teeth after your meal. They even have DJ lights. Super friendly personnel. Next time I got to try the beers.“

“Walked by here couple days ago and saw they had some arcade game on the side and check it out today. Came back on today which every Tuesday they have Trivia game event at 19:00(7:00PM) No reservations required. You might have a chance to won a free around of beer during the game, which you allow to be solo or with groups of friends which is kinda fun things to do (Although I don't drink alcohol but still fun to try blending in the environment). This place do service food and all their local brews beers plus non alcoholic drinks ( Support the local community). Beside this everyone's nice and friendly along with the staff as well. “Katsu Burger sounds really unusual to me because there aren’t many restaurants that serve these types of burgers. What made it so special is that it’s more Japanese-themed based on the ingredients they use. There are a lot of terms that I’m unfamiliar with when I look at their menus.

I like how decorative the place is despite its small size. They have anime characters pictured on the walls. And most of the pictures are food which is basically a way for them to advertise their foods. There’s also a screen that shows not only just the order numbers but also the duration of preparation before the order is ready. That’s basically my first time seeing this.

Looking at their menus, they have different types of burgers and you can choose meat of choice. They also have milkshakes, but quite funny how they look like lattes. Perhaps because there’s no whipped cream since milkshakes are made that way by default.

I ordered a Tokyo classic and it’s quite big. For something that $12.50, I’d say that it’s fair pricing. It tastes really juicy and I can basically taste all the ingredients. That’s what makes it stand out more. The fries are ok, but not really important. I even added Nori as the spice even though that I didn’t know it is. Is it similar to garlic fries because of its taste and texture? I think it’s a Japanese translation for “garlic”. Dunno but I’ll look it up.

I’m looking forward to trying out more. They don’t really much locations here in the US, but hoping that they’ll expand more in the Bay Area since I commuted all the way to Santa Clara for that.“
