“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! My rating: 10++++“

“Creatively ambitious and high level cuisine, using Korean flavors and spices to add interest and individuality to California ingredients. Example: wagyu tartare with uni aioli, among other things, that was rich and fresh and unexpected, all at the same time. Clever attention to textures and variety of textures within each course. A reasonably priced tasting menu or, at four courses, you could call it a prix fixe. Limited but good wine selection, seemingly carefully curated. Very cool ambiance inside and friendly, graceful service.“

“Obviously a local favorite, you can always tell how good an in and out burger location is by their signature long but fast moving lines both inside and at the drive-thru. This location had both. Typically I would give in and out five Stars based on their burgers alone. however I experienced a minor food quality issue with the overly salted fries. Was able to cover it up a bit with a bit of raw onion from my burger and an extra packet of spread“

“The chicken salads here are huge, with a surprisingly generous portion of meat. I've eaten a lot of chicken salads at other counter service places in the area, and The Stand puts them all to shame. The dressing seemed like it was made fresh, not from a bottle. Will come back to try something else.“

“No pictures of the meal because it was just THAT GOOD. Tables back up to the parking lot so it's a little crowded but the coffee and the food are so incredible that I don't care. Absolutely fantastic and I feel like I haven't had breakfast as good as that in a while. Had the morning burger, Southside style croissant, and a side of tater tots. My partner and I split each and it was the perfect amount, everything was cooked perfectly and the fries and tots were crispy. I'll be dreaming of this food for weeks to come and I am so sad that I am not from the area and can't eat here every weekend.“

“This is such a great spot for shopping, dining and a csaual hangout with friends. There is a huge luxury section along with utility stores like Apple, etc. My favourite go-to spots are Maiko for matcha, Eataly and Din Tai Fung for food (when you’ve managed to get a reservation!!)“

“My girlfriend and I have always looked at this place and took a chance and stopped by. It was really good. I had the wrap. Bathrooms are clean. They even have toothbrushes in the bathrooms so you can brush your teeth after your meal. They even have DJ lights. Super friendly personnel. Next time I got to try the beers.“

“I tried Annie’s Sandwiches recently and had a pretty good experience. The sandwich was fresh, filling, and had a nice balance of flavors without being too heavy. Everything tasted like it was made with care, and the portion was decent for the price. The staff was friendly and the service was fairly quick too. Nothing overly fancy, just a solid spot when you want a good sandwich without a long wait. I’d definitely consider coming back again when I’m in the area and craving something simple and tasty.“

“This is definitely a dive bar, but with a friendly vibe. We usually go to see a friend's band play, so I can't speak to other nights.

The bartender also seems to be the owner (and only staff), but she's friendly and the prices for beer on tap are reasonable.

Despite having no bouncer, I've never seen any problems.

I think they serve a limited food menu, but I've never had any, so I can't speak to that.

“I've eaten at this place for years at this point. It so many great options for Taiwanese food and drinks so I keep coming back!

If I had to choose one item, it would be their grilled chicken leg bento square, and when it's on-sale it's an absolute steal at $9.99!

Other great options I'd recommend are their popcorn chicken, g-pie golden chicken cutlet, deluxe braised pork rice bowl, five spices fried chicken cutlet square, and thai lime pepper crispy chicken square.

For drinks I like their passion fruit boba gaga, fresh watermelon passionfruit green tea, fresh grapefruit green tea, and OSQ super fruit tea.“

“Great service, the man at the front was very personable and hospitable. Gave us great service and a great portion size for the price. I had the Korean spicy pork which gave me nostalgia of having it back home. Really tasty and rich. My coworker had the hot punch sandwich which he enjoyed he definitely wants to try a more special sandwich next time. Overall great time, good food, and good portions.“

“Love Matsu Matcha! Without a doubt, they have the best mango matcha in the area 🥭🍵 I’ve tried quite a few of their flavors, including strawberry, banana, cookie butter, pistachio, and of course mango and mango is my absolute favorite!
They have a great selection of matcha drinks, plus matcha ice cream with different matcha intensity levels and delicious parfaits.

The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they often run out of mango. I find myself having to check every time before going to make sure it’s available that day. If mango matcha is your favorite too, you know how disappointing that can be! 😭 Otherwise, I absolutely love this place. 💚“

“I went to Boba Pup with a friend of mine because he said his friend highly recommended it (so we wanted to give it a try).

Firstly, the service there was fantastic. We were alittle confused as to how the whole thing worked and the girl at the counter came around and helped us with the ordering machine. We also ordered a specific glass for another $5 (this seems a bit much just for requesting a specific glass but I wanted to get it for my wife).

The drink over-all was very good. I love the whole recycling the glass idea. We saved our glass because we want to collect them (they are nice looking glasses)“
