“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! The dressing seemed like it was made fresh, not from a bottle. Will come back to try something else.“

“Nick the Greek is a casual Greek restaurant chain around the Bay Area. Don’t expect an elaborate menu or a highly authentic Greek dining experience—it’s more of a quick, casual spot for basics like gyros, souvlaki, pita, salads, and frozen yogurt.

I’ve tried a few of their locations, and this was my first time trying the pork gyro from this particular one. I ordered through Uber Eats and picked it up; it was ready when I arrived. I ate outside in their patio area, although the food had cooled down a bit by then.

The pork gyro itself was quite good—grilled, roasted pork wrapped in pita with onions, tomatoes, and a creamy yogurt-based sauce. It was flavorful and satisfying, especially since I was pretty hungry! I did wish the portion was a little larger, particularly with a bit more meat.

Overall, a solid casual option when you’re craving a gyro. Nothing fancy, but good and satisfying.“

“No pictures of the meal because it was just THAT GOOD. Tables back up to the parking lot so it's a little crowded but the coffee and the food are so incredible that I don't care. Absolutely fantastic and I feel like I haven't had breakfast as good as that in a while. Had the morning burger, Southside style croissant, and a side of tater tots. My partner and I split each and it was the perfect amount, everything was cooked perfectly and the fries and tots were crispy. I'll be dreaming of this food for weeks to come and I am so sad that I am not from the area and can't eat here every weekend.“

We get the bento boxes with teryaki chicken, California rolls, and sashimi (tuna or salmon) the miso soup is great and the salad with that delicious dressing is perfect. We always stop here and you shoukd definitely give it a try.“
