“We were impressed by the variety of food and drink choices, as well as the friendly service from hosts, wait-staff, and support crew that helped us. I especially like the majority of seating in booths and large spacious table layout that did not feel loud or crowded, even though the restaurant was nearly full. I also appreciate that there weren't TV's everywhere (except in the bar area) which can very easily distract a conversation. So Jack's is a good place to have a chat!“
“Came in on a Thursday afternoon. Was only 2 other people at first but then it started to pick up and fill up. Food came out quick. The Brioche French Toast was amazing. Service was excellent as well. Jeremy was a great server, was super attentive, and always made sure to check in on me to see if I needed anything even though he was the only server and had plenty tables. He was the same way with the other tables as well.“
“Very chill atmosphere with waiters ready to help , I've tasted the chicken rice soup, full of flavor and good on a rainy day. Great service walking in and walking out. Great portions of food. No problem finding parking spots. Lemon meringue pie was really good, sweet and tangy. Amazing staff ready to help and are always checking up if you need anything else.“
“Unique spot with circa 1910 decor and mechanical pianos. Food is good quality. You have to order at the the bar but that's reduces waiters time and that's why they are able to afford the more reasonable service charge included with the bill. All and all good “
“Took my teenaged son and we had the messy burger. Although they had ALL the stuff to put on a burger you could think of in a salad bar type setting so you could add what and how much of what you wanted to your burger we added nothing and it was the best tasting burger in the bay area. I live in milpitas and it is worth the drive for their burgers!! Definitely recommend this as a must do for any foodie out there !!“
“I waited 50 minutes before we were seated and I was okay with it because it was explained to us at check in when we arrived for booths they take a lot longer to free up. After tonight's experience, the wait for worth it!Atmosphere is really cool, great music, super busy but the service is on top of their game ??. I never felt I waited too long for my server to check on us, I had my cocktails in a timely manner. Our food was super delicious, ALL OF IT was ?.“
“Was visiting San Jose from out of town and needed breakfast. There was nothing that looked good downtown so I searched “diner” and looked for one with a parking lot. This place blew my mind!!! We were seated right away, there were a lot of regulars and the wait staff knew their names. The waitress knew the menu really well which is extremely important for me as I have a weird food sensitivity for a really common seasoning. I was able to order exactly what I wanted, the Turkey and avocado eggs Benedict and it was delicious. I never would have thought to put Turkey on that, and I’m not the biggest fan of Turkey but this was so juicy and fresh it was quite delicious. My partner ordered the chicken and waffles and got two meals out of it easy and couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. I can’t imagine a better diner experience. The menu had a lot of different options that helped fit my tricky dietary needs. I’m coming back every chance I get next time I’m in San Jose.“
“Amazing food and amazing staff! Favorite topping was the Detroit v everybody, basil on the red head really added another dimension, and the Sicilian crust was amazing. The wings with the hot honey was great too. Really loved being able to mix and catch and go half/half on different toppings. Easy garage parking that's free for first 90min on market. 2 tables of 4 each inside and window seating and outdoor seating, though most orders seem to be to go. Really great experience!“
“Do you think I'm crazy?" Elon Musk asked me this question towards the end of a long dinner at a fine seafood restaurant in Silicon Valley. I got there first and settled in with a gin and tonic because I knew that Musk was, as usual, late would come.“
“This is my favorite breakfast places. I come here at least once a week. I LOVE the blueberry pancakes. I love that the menu has so many options. The atmosphere us great. Get there early and make sure everyone in your party is present or you won't be seated. Have and enjoy one of their very large mimosasParking: They have 2 lots“
“Been going to Aqui for years. Have visited all locations and like them all. Came here for lunch on a Saturday recently when our original choice was too crowded. There was a good amount of seating and no line, even though it was plenty busy. The food is reliably good and fresh and the service is very good.“
“I'm a bit of a burger snob so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had the barn burger which was mushrooms, Swiss cheese lettuce and tomato on a French roll and it was fantastic, from now on when I have a burger craving this is where I'm “
“Best hot chicken place I've found so far! Always get the loaded fries or the texas toast sandwich. Sad that they recently started using nuggets instead of tenders for their loaded fries but still really good. Would say they're a 8.5/10 with the nuggets and 9.5/10 with the tenders.“
“The best brunch place in San Jose Midtown!Omelettes and benedicts are worth dying for. This place is usally open till 3pm and is closed for the rest of the day.You may find a parking spot for your car inside the community garage (the entrance is located at the back of the buidling, opposite safeway where two hours parking is free). If you dont find a place to park, you can always park at the safeway store across the street near mcdonalds/safeway (not recommended).A superb joint to spend time with your loved ones. Plan to be there early since there is a huge waiting time. Enjoy your bottomless coffee !! Good customer service, superb menu and mimosaaaaaas !!Parking: Parking can be tight sometimes - I was a resident in the same property as Brekfast at Midtown. I would suggest finding a parking in the parking garage in the Meridian at Midtown property. The lower level is open for retail parking. The best bet would be parking across the street in Safeway which is like 0.1 mile awwy from Breakfast at Midtown.“
“Cute little restaurant that newly opened in downtown San Jose. It’s not a big place but gives you cozy, relaxing vibe. Even though it just opened, service was great food was yummy so we’re ready to come back to try other menus. Can be a quick happy hour spot too. They have a variety of wine to offer. Price was not too steep for the quality.“
“The restaurant is better than the movie. However, it’s a bit like watching a comedy or perhaps being in a comedy. Not sure if the jokes on me or on her though. Be prepared to bring your hunger because the food is delish. Don’t forget to bring your wit too. It’s an improv gameshow stuffing your face trying not to laugh with your mouth open while you chew. Thanks for being a great game show host Ellie.“
“WOW - what a gem in downtown SJ! Had a girls night out and we had a great time here. The food is amazing! The menu has plenty of great items and we shared quite a few and left very full! The service was excellent! I highly recommend this 'divine' restaurant!“
“Haven't tried many things on the menu but I love my go to order very much it's the lemon chicken bowl with no grapes or cranberries and instead of grilled chicken add crispy chicken I absolutely love it and it fills me up just right and I never feel guilty after to me I don't really count it as Mexican but still very good“
“I came in for the first time today. I ordered the terryaki chicken cheese sandwich. It was not bad, came with sourdough roll, jack cheese, mushrooms, onion and chicken. Not the best chicken cheese I ever had but it was ok. Very nice guy running the place.“
“Went in for breakfast today, The omelet was awesome as usual. Met a nice waitress with a guitar! Her name was April and she was very nice and very friendly and let me play her guitar and she said her family plays music which is really cool. So I had a great day there today really enjoyed the people and the atmosphere besides the food being absolutely terrificParking: Plenty of parking close and far whatever you want.“
“I had the mini eggs Benedict and a decaf coffee. It was good and hot when I got it. It was the perfect amount of food and I didn't feel like I was breaking the bank. The service was great, always there at the right time. We sat in the perfect spot where it felt like we were the only ones there even though we were right by the door.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs“
“I just placed a phone order here yesterday, and they had messed up my order and giving me the wrong item but aside from that the food was good and the other dishes were great! Hopefully the next time I place an order here the order is accurate, but I would recommend you to check your order before leaving if you take it to go order because I did not and I ended up figuring it out on my own, that I was given the wrong Meal! also‘s place is pretty pricey, so keep that in mind when you are coming here!Vegetarian options: Check it out!Parking: Parking lot is busyKid-friendliness: Definitely.“
“I came here multiple times and the experiences were pretty good. There are table tops, booths, an alcove, long communal tables so great for happy hour but! the food isn't great and rather expensive so I recommend you stick to the cocktails. The drinks are okay. There are some creative ones but they don't taste that cohesive. For example, I had a Thai tea cocktail with coconut cream and it tasted super sour like milk gone wrong. There is a bouncer at the front who checks ID rather than having you show ID to the bartender so that is efficient of them. There is sometimes a line on busy nights.“
“Denver Omelet - 4 eggs so it's huge, with hash browns, toast & coffee. The omelet and hash browns came out semi-warm, but I think that was the service. I also shouldn't have an empty cup of coffee or water to refill. For their prices, I'd prefer they semi hover. Mid-morning, they were not busy.“
“Alcina makes this place! Her sparkling smile and winning personality welcome everyone like they're long-lost relatives. The food is perfect. Be sure to ask for a roasted jalapeño with lemon: add a little salt for a delicious and spicy side.“
“This place is highly rated and it’s well deserved! I found them while scrolling through DoorDash. I didn’t have that high of hopes, after all, their prices are dirt cheap for health food in the Bay Area. When the food arrived I was shocked. The box that the food comes in said “thank you Mandi”. Very cute touch. The food was INCREDIBLE! Most of the healthier options I’ve ordered from local restaurants are pretty bland. This has a lot of flavor and this is the only place that’s ever prepared broccoli in a way that I was happy to eat it.The place was so good I ordered it two nights in a row. And honestly just became my new go-to spot.“
“This was a second chance for this cute little restaurant. I was craving a chili relleno and because the size varies from restaurant to restaurant- I asked for two. Holy Moly! These were huge AND delicious. Everything about the meal was great. The chips are house made and the salsa is just perfect - not too spicy and plenty of flavor. The beans- just like grandma made them! Arroz was a little 'wet' for me - I like my rice a little more dry but it did have a good flavor. The star of the show was the relleno of course. The batter, the cheese, the chili - so so good!!Well done!!“
“amazing bbq joint. closes at 4 so be sure and get there early. excellent ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sides are off the hook. recommend the beans, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese. excellent corn bread. was not a fan of the coleslaw. really good selection of craft beers, great notion, bare bottle, and others on tap.“
“Delicious pancakes, large sandwiches with fries or salad, love the Arnold Palmer drink in the afternoon or latte coffee in the morning.Parking: There’s a parking garage behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They have delicious pancakes for kids!“
“We split the Steak & Egg breakfast breakfast and it was delicious 5/5. Big portions, steak was cooked medium rare like we asked to perfection, the country style potatoes were amazing. The service 5/5 and atmosphere was very friendly, quite and welcoming.Parking: Lots of parking“
“Can’t go wrong with Aqui. Their menu is always being tweaked but they seem to keep what’s most popular for a long time. Of course their Swirl margarita drinks are absolutely fabulous, but they also make plenty of other great drinks as well.“
“Excellent establishment food is fantastic parking plenty of it during the week during the weekend might be difficult to find but the food makes up for it I don't mind walking a couple blocks up excellent atmosphere it's kind of away from the hood rats fantastic “
“Bazille is a great place to catch up with friends, family, and enjoy a tasty meal while at Valley Fair. The seating booths are comfortable and the servers are friendly.I ordered the crab bisque and it is filled with great flavor that melts in your mouth. The steak was yummy and paired well with the kalamata aioli dipping sauce. The best part about Bazille is their delicious fries and kalamata aioli dipping sauce. They are my favorite, a must-try for anyone trying Bazille for the first time.If you are looking for a great place to unwind and eat in the mall, look no further than Bazille“
“I came in today to place a togo order I choice the super slam cause the price and what I was looking for however they end up suggested great things so I went with what they suggested the food was delicious hot and ready the manager got my order right and everything I asked for. The restaurant was very clean and the decoration were amazing ? the team was very kind and friendly. I honest can say it’s the best dennys I have been to.it wasn’t just me but many people paying up front where happy with there visit from what I hear. Will be back soon.“
“One of my absolute favorite places that I've been to in San Jose. The food, the service, the drinks, the aesthetics, even the prices, everything is spot on.I got the biscuit and gravy with fried chicken, hash browns, and a medium-soft sunny-side up egg. Everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and crispy. The gravy could use a tad more flavor but it was still fire. The vegetarian eggs benedict were poached to medium. The biscuits were nicely toasted while still soft and fluffy. The mimosas rank in this order pineapple > orange > cranberry. They have the best bottomless mimosas prices and do it for the weekend, instead of just Sunday. I'd go here just for that, tbh.“
“Overall I really like the Lazy Dog as it offers a good variety of good dishes. During our last visit we tried their chicken wings which were okay. Very meaty which was nice but lacking in flavor and on the undercooked/fatty side (my wife ahi tuna salad was great). They brought us the wrong side salad and considering they were super busy I didn't make a fuss about it.“
“Very popular breakfast spot for good reason. They have a large enough menu that will fit different people’s diet preferences. I had chorizo scramble with avocado and subbed fruit for hash browns. Good portion size. Quick and courteous service. Very loud in there though when its full of people.“
“Had to get some community service hours in and was referred here I have heard of the Alano Club but never actually been there it's a huge house on the corner but when you walk in it's amazing they have a little cafe a game room with a pool table and multiple rooms where they have meetings the staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. I think I just might come back once I complete my hours ? thanks for helping me out.“
“I was disheartened when the Cupertino location closed down so I was delighted to find this one which opened up right after. The great thing about this place is the numerous flavors; there are 22 flavors which they place in 3 categories of classics, dry rub, and Asian fusion. My personal favorites are the garlic pepper and the Thai chili. If you like spicy, I don't think even the spicy ones have much of a kick to them, sadly. The other mediocre part of this place are the dipping sauces. As for the sides, the garlic noodles are a must.“
“9/10! This pool place is top-tier! Ever since I got into pool, this is hands down one of the best spots I've been to. I first checked it out a couple of months ago and the service blew me away. Everyone, from the customers to the employees, is super friendly. The prices are fair and they charge by the hour (don't hold me to that, though). My friends and I hit this place up every weekend and I have zero regrets about stumbling upon this hidden gem in San Jose. I haven't tried the food or drinks, but my buddies who've had the alcohol say it's decent. All in all, this place is a winner. It's a great spot to hang with friends and family, or just chill and play board games at the front tables. The place is spacious has lots of tables, and the music is always fresh, and there's a great mix of tunes. Highly recommend!!“
“I was here working for a week and was eating fast food and my body was highly upset about the whole food situation. On our last day in town I found this place with great reviews.Bartender was great and answered all our questions, I finally went with the pork chop.It was easily hands down, the best pork chop I ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Add a old fashioned and I was in a great place to be.Absolutely ?. Will definitely return to give the 5 Starz this place deserves. Do yourself a favor and just go!“
“I made a brunch reservation here and I don't normally enjoy brunches, but the quality of food was SO GOOD! We ordered the cheese plate which had a nice selection of Cowgirl Creamery with really nice snack pairings. The mushroom omelette may be one of the best, well-cooked omelettes I've ever had. And the hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft and moist in the center. Serious props to the chef. The ambience is so comfortable and cozy, kid-friendly with high chairs available, and not so loud so you can have nice conversations.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs!“
“The wait to be seated was not long. Our drink order was quickly taken not long after we were seated. We chose smaller dishes to share between us. I had 4 small pork ribs with fries my husband had fish and chips with Cole slawThe food was greatThe Beers we enjoyed was cold and tastyWe will go back to Jack Holders restaurant againWheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access at this restaurant“
“It was my first time here since new ownership, I wasn't even aware the restaurant had changed from Benedicts. Alot of the menu is the same with some new additions. The food was wonderful and so was the service! Can't wait to come back & try more things on the menu!“
“Was invited by a friend to visit this place for the first time today. Very conveniently located near my home on Park Avenue. Patricia, the owner, came out to our table to ask how the food was and introduce yourself. I was loving the tacos I ordered, and told her so. I found I've been open for 2 months now, and I told her as I was invited here, I would myself be inviting friends here soon as I was coming back. Wishing them the best in business and that they stay open for a long time. Best place to come for homemade Mexican food.I had both Bria tacos and chilaquiles, which were both five star excellence in every way!The vibe from The jukebox music was so good that we stayed for more beers, and I chased my tacos with chilaquiles, and those were even better than my first meal! So glad I found this place!Walk, don't run, and bring a good vibe! Very friendly crowd at the bar at the front of the house.Kid-friendliness: It's more of a restaurant in a bar, then a restaurant with a bar. You'll know what I mean when you get there. So not the best place for kids, but definitely a friendly place for adults looking for a tasty place to eat for lunch and after work or for a fun dinner date.“
“Oh lawd so grateful this place exists! Every time I come into San Jose I look forward to stopping here. The food is always bomb, the place is always clean and the staff is always cool. When I eat this food its hard to sit still, I want to dance n shout lol.. Im literally eating outside on my car so I don't disturb the other patrons with my bouncing around lol.Thank you all!! Can you guys sell the jerk sauce by the gallon please? And I'd like subscription to the plantains.“
“This is a great Taco place, but I saw some black female customers calling a latino woman a "zero" with the hatred in her eyes. I was out of the blue and didn't know what has happening??? Later, when I chatted with a latino man, he told me that the latino woman cut the black lady line, and the black female get so angry. Sigh, what's going on in this world??? By the way, the taco tastes so well, I enjoyed it !!!“
“Black Angus used to be a staple pre CV. We went recently and our party was so happy about our steak meal and the Campfire Special for two. We know this is not a gouging, overinflated steak house, and we love that! We had filet mignon, and one was overcooked. The server made it right. The sides, dessert, and apps were .Bay area folks come out and support the last of American style steakhouse/cuisine. We are lacking choices of mid range steak and seafood houses.Vegetarian options: Get a salad, get sides like broccoli, potatoes , and such.Dietary restrictions: Yep!“
“Good prices, good karaoke, really friendly staff members. Super low-key vibe. A billiards table and dart board are also available. Funny novelty machine in the women's (maybe men's too?) restroom. No opinion on the food as I haven't tried it yet but the reviews and photos are promising! I will be back“
“I work at Burke Williams Day Spa on Santana Row and I look forward to getting dinner after an hard day of massaging clients. Everything I’ve tried has been spot on. The staff is super kind and friendly especially on Sunday nights. Bris, Colby and Francine go far and beyond answering my many questions. But the highlight for me is the Cowgirl cookie. You gotta try it“
