“We were impressed by the variety of food and drink choices, as well as the friendly service from hosts, wait-staff, and support crew that helped us. I especially like the majority of seating in booths and large spacious table layout that did not feel loud or crowded, even though the restaurant was nearly full. I also appreciate that there weren't TV's everywhere (except in the bar area) which can very easily distract a conversation. So Jack's is a good place to have a chat!“
“I've been coming for bit over 2 years now. The staff cares about their patrons, which shows in each of their interactions, and the patience to make drinks off menu. Super chill environment with all kinds of games, and I love the affordability of being drinks and getting free computer hours. Has become my new spotParking: Couple spots on the street out front but plenty on surrounding streets downtownKid-friendliness: I've seen kids come in with their parents and play board games. Not common, but the super chill environment allows it.“
“I waited 50 minutes before we were seated and I was okay with it because it was explained to us at check in when we arrived for booths they take a lot longer to free up. After tonight's experience, the wait for worth it!Atmosphere is really cool, great music, super busy but the service is on top of their game ??. I never felt I waited too long for my server to check on us, I had my cocktails in a timely manner. Our food was super delicious, ALL OF IT was ?.“
“This was a special occasion for my husband and me, the 50th anniversary of our first date. The hostess was very friendly. Our server, Nolan was excellent throughout our dining experience. We never felt rushed. All our food came out at the correct temperature. We were able to finish one course before being served the next. Our plates were cleared in a timely manner. Any questions we had were answered without hesitation. When our desserts were served, the chef had written 50 Years in chocolate on my husband's chocolate cake dessert plate. Lance came to chat with us and congratulated us on our anniversary. We were not charged for either of our two desserts. Lance also presented us with his business card and a $25 gift card for our next visit. We will definitely be back!“
“My girlfriend has been dying to try this place since she spotted it a few months ago and we decided to come for happy hour one evening. One of the cooks brought out a free meatball for us to try which was really nice. The drinks were good and the food was amazing. Wings and pizza were both a 10/10 and great service too. Come check it out!“
“Best hot chicken place I've found so far! Always get the loaded fries or the texas toast sandwich. Sad that they recently started using nuggets instead of tenders for their loaded fries but still really good. Would say they're a 8.5/10 with the nuggets and 9.5/10 with the tenders.“
“Nice community/family environment with lots of options for everyone. It’s like an indoor food court in downtown San Jose. Issues are that it’s only online card payments and they expect a tip even if no one actually talks to or serves you. I’m cool to tip well, but I expect a person to be there to provide the service you’re topping for.“
“Service and vibes here get 5 stars! Everyone working was super friendly and welcoming (and hilarious). It's a causal vibe bar, but was kid-friendly during dinner time. The food here is good, it's solid. They offer appetizers, bowls, and more. My favorite items were the lumpia and the bayrito! The bayrito is huge and packed full of tots and meat (I had the kalua pork). The bowls were all good looking and the portions are generous. Overall, a solid spot for bar-like food.“
“Great vibes, and people. Amazing staff. The Caravan has definitely been a staple in San Jose for years. There's even a comedy night there. Been there a few times and gained some great memories from it. Even caught up with an old high school friend. Definitely “
“The cocktails are delicious and the food is hella good - I’ve stopped in just for their yummy burgers and tater tots! You can play pool, watch a game, or chat with the chill patrons and bartenders. Easy parking and great prices too! I hella ❤️ The Triple Threat!“
“I've been here twice now. The second time was on a Thursday where they have free games. You should come within happy hours on Thursdays and you'll get a really good deal. The drinks are decent and the food is pretty good, surprisingly. I liked their chicken wings. My husband liked the pepperoni flatbread.Service is great too! Definitely recommend as a place to hang out and have a drink.“
“Great customer service. And willingness to accommodate customers based on your own personal preferences. Food is delicious. Prices are reasonable. Warming place good environment. Family friendly place, totally worth it. Very much recommended. I was invited by my boss the first time I came to this place I loved the food, and service that made me come back to enjoy dinner knowing that I would be welcomed and treated with dignity. Apart from that their food itself it’s yummy. Definitely. Food, and service on point. All employees super helpful and friendly at all times.“
“This place is airy, and casual, and the dominant tone of blue surprisingly makes the place cheerful too! There is additional outdoor seating . The service reminds you of Olive Garden’s longtime slogan, “ When you’re here, you’re family.” The portions are very generous, and their moussaka was just as it should have been, a classic comfort food! The prawn dish ( I cannot remember the name)that we had ordered was hearty, bright, and packed with flavors! Of course, I would be a regular!“
“Haven't had such fluffy buns filled with succulent and flavorful cuts of meat in a while. A friend and I tried their Braised Pork belly Buns, Shoyu Pork Buns, Shaking Beef Buns, crispy tofu buns, Angry bird bowl (off-menu), and mango lassi. Most everything was great, especially the braised pork belly and shoyu pork buns. The tender soy marinated cuts of pork really hit the spot, and I loved the ají verde sauce that came w the shoyu pork bun. The shaking beef reminded me of the sweet and savory korean bbq meats, and the crispy tofu bun had a hickory bbq flavor. I really enjoyed the angry bird bow! It's an off menu item with aromatic fried rice and spicy sautéed chicken. So good! Mango Lassi was a nice smoothie to wash it all downOur host was very kind and informative. The business is run by young chefs and they seem very honest and open to advice! Bun Me Up is located in the Tiki Pete Bar, good music and great place to chill at night.“
“While the noise level was a little high the setting was great and you could tell this place had a very “local” customer base. The staff was very friendly and efficient, our waiter was terrific and - had a couple of nice chats with him. We found the prices were a little higher than some comparable restaurants, but the food was excellent. When you've had authentic Italian food in Italy it's hard to find comparable offerings here in the states. Vito's ranks right up there in its food. It was a nice way to celebrate our 51st wedding anniversary and we'll definitely be going back!“
“If you’re looking for a new spot to grab Pho in San Jose, look no further cause you’ll find Pho This Way. This new pho restaurant opened late last year and is located in Vietnam Town (IYKYK).Pho This Way offers a clean modern dining room with a menu that contains not only pho, but also finger foods, other Vietnamese noodles, and favorites like Shaken Beef (Bo Luc Lac).We visited on a Sunday before the lunch crowd and had ourselves a delicious feast. The broth was really good and the portion sizes were generous. The staff was very helpful in going over the menu with us. One item that we were absolutely glad we tried and would recommend to everyone is the Net Egg Roll, which was a perfectly crispy egg roll that you can wrap inside some lettuce and mint leaves before enjoying with the fish sauce.San Jose no doubt has a lot of pho restaurants, but this new spot definitely deserves a visit.- — ???? ?? ??????? — -∿Vietnamese Shaking Beef Macaroni∿Pho Dac Biet (Special Combination Pho)∿Net Egg Roll∿Papaya Salad∿Stir Fried Egg Noodle with Seafood∿Strawberry Panna Cotta & Mango Panna Cotta“
“The food is just so, so good. I've been dipping my toes into slightly fancier food recently and this is the only place Ive been where I felt like everything I ate was genuinely fantastic. Got a bunch of the dishes, and not a single bite of any of them fell flat. I'll be back.“
“9/10! This pool place is top-tier! Ever since I got into pool, this is hands down one of the best spots I've been to. I first checked it out a couple of months ago and the service blew me away. Everyone, from the customers to the employees, is super friendly. The prices are fair and they charge by the hour (don't hold me to that, though). My friends and I hit this place up every weekend and I have zero regrets about stumbling upon this hidden gem in San Jose. I haven't tried the food or drinks, but my buddies who've had the alcohol say it's decent. All in all, this place is a winner. It's a great spot to hang with friends and family, or just chill and play board games at the front tables. The place is spacious has lots of tables, and the music is always fresh, and there's a great mix of tunes. Highly recommend!!“
“Was invited by a friend to visit this place for the first time today. Very conveniently located near my home on Park Avenue. Patricia, the owner, came out to our table to ask how the food was and introduce yourself. I was loving the tacos I ordered, and told her so. I found I've been open for 2 months now, and I told her as I was invited here, I would myself be inviting friends here soon as I was coming back. Wishing them the best in business and that they stay open for a long time. Best place to come for homemade Mexican food.I had both Bria tacos and chilaquiles, which were both five star excellence in every way!The vibe from The jukebox music was so good that we stayed for more beers, and I chased my tacos with chilaquiles, and those were even better than my first meal! So glad I found this place!Walk, don't run, and bring a good vibe! Very friendly crowd at the bar at the front of the house.Kid-friendliness: It's more of a restaurant in a bar, then a restaurant with a bar. You'll know what I mean when you get there. So not the best place for kids, but definitely a friendly place for adults looking for a tasty place to eat for lunch and after work or for a fun dinner date.“
“Really great oak cabinetry around the bar. You can tell it's very old school and not like antique to where it's noticeably older. Whoever is the one that keeps up with the bar and keeping the wood and great shape is amazing. I really like that place. Customer service is awesome. Bartenders are awesome, very quaint place to kind of chill and relax on a date“
“Our special came out in 2 minutes. It was just the right amount after starving myself all day. I accidentally ordered too much because I trusted a review from some bad reviewer that gave a 1 star... He/she is dead wrong or eats costco pizzas for a snack. Also, The broth is light with barely a hint of msg.“
“This place is wonderful!Teske's has an authentic, fantastic and relaxing German vibe with authentic food and drink. You won't regret going here if you're in the mood for German food or beverages, or a chill friendly atmosphere. ?My wife and I are vegetarian so we haven't had their non-veg entrees, but the pretzel and potato cakes are delicious!“
“It's your basic, overpriced bar. If you were coming in expecting anything else, you're a fool. The staff is 5*. The drinks are expensive, but i enjoy the atmosphere. If i wanted a cheap drink, i would stay home and drink right out the “
“I've been to plenty Brazilian steakhouses but never to this one in particular. Took my lady for Valentine's Day since she's never been to a Brazilian steak house ever & they didn't disappoint ? thank you. Will definitely be back.“
“I go to Quan Nhau's primarily for the food, and Ba Na has the best food around right now. The crispy rice with kho quet is my FAVORITE! So is the fried tofu. The pho ap chao is just ok, so I would pass on that here. Service is always super friendly. They let you sing karaoke any time you want, and they open late. I haven't seen any drama here and it's just people out having a good time.“
“Stopped in Friday and the BBQ Chicken was great. The baked potato had sour cream a butter. The beans were very tasty. The price was great and so was the service. I'm going to come back and try the breakfast and might add a bloody Mary. Nice bartender.“
“Had a great time here. Great discussion with Chris, great guy. Chris (bartender and local Bay Area travel aficionado) not only recommended new interesting beers from Bay Area breweries on tap that fitted with the flavor profile I like. But he went above and beyond by sharing local restaurants and additional breweries in the South Bay to try. I now have new ideas to explore for many weekend to come! Chris was dropping gems and knowledge! Dear ISO owner: Give this guy a raise, this is the kind of person you want on your team. For the bar and beer selection, clean bar with outside seating. Great beer selection. Plus Cash Only is across the street and MiniBoss as well. Highly recommend. Cheers“
“I was blown away by the great vibe, cool surroundings, and top notch customer service. Very fast and friendly bartender and kitchen manager. Live music on a Thursday! I had a blast with friends sipping wine, eating, and dancing. The pool in the background looks awesome as well. Highly recommend if you are in this area. Hidden gem.“
“I don't know the bar yet but I want to tell you about their birria de chivo and Menudo on Sunday mornings ? deli deli recommendedParking: If there is not enough parking a little further on the corner there is a circular parking lot with wire mesh and it is part of the site“
“Great food, good service. Nice place. More expensive than most Mexican restaurants in our area. Will go back. My wife asked for tomatoes on her tacos, that did not happen. I asked for a little lemon for my meal, had to ask twice. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper at the table. I still gave a 20% tip just because I am nice. For $72.00 including tip for two people is a bit overpriced. I only had ice tea and my wife had water. Like I said we loved the food so will try again. Would love to have this restaurant as our go to Mexican place. Will have to see“
