“This is not our first meal at Hero Ranch, so a few flaws were noticeable. The food was mostly excellent, as we expect, but I was disappointed that the pappardelle seemed to be cooked in insufficient water and/or not stirred properly. The pasta, which is a bit too thick to begin with in my opinion, was stuck together in clumps. Not all of it, but enough of these hard masses to make navigating the dish a bit difficult. The ragu was delicious as always. Our other dishes, crab cakes, taco trio and berry cobbler were of the standard I expect. After all, this space is the hallowed ground where David Kinch got his start at Sent Sovi. I also think a bit more training of the waitstaff would be in order. Our server was very pleasant and attentive enough, but failed to cover the wine bottle with a napkin in the ice bucket, so she spilled quite a bit of water over our settings when pouring. I think that the servers have been chosen well, with fine personalities, but perhaps could use a bit of training if they are not highly experienced. Speaking of wine, I must mention one of the strongest plusses of this establishment. The wine list is not extensive, but it is well chosen and a tremendous value. Premium wines are priced with minimal markup, which is very appreciated by this diner. We had a bottle of Dom Perignon for less than it would cost at even a discount liquor chain. Most restaurants make large profits from wine sales, so the decision of Hero Ranch to price wines at store prices is a big deal.“

“I cannot say enough about this restaurant! GOGA is the place to go for fresh, healthy, delicious food! Definitely Saratoga’s hidden gem! It is behind the UPS building with plenty of parking. The staff is wonderful, very accommodating & Chef Brads presentation & deliciousness of his fabulous meals is always 5 stars! We will be going back this Sunday for brunch with family from out of town that can’t wait to try it! Go GOGA!!“

“One of the best smash burgers we have had. Enjoyed dinner with Redwood Cafe while at Wilkerson Farms. The gentleman that was cooking knows how to make an excellent burger and frys. His service was top notch. I would highly recommend to anyone that come across his food truck to stop and give it a try. You will not regret it. 10/10“

“bell tower cafe has an old school vibe with decent food. the wait staff is friendly and the food arrived to the table quickly. I had pancakes as part of my order and I wish they had a glass container for the syrup... instead I was given a small single serving plastic container. I also was turned off by the extremely cheap silverware.. it was one step up from plastic... amazing how little details can give you such a strong impression about a place. If I had to choose between the bell tower cafe or holders country inn (the one in Saratoga), I would choose holders... simply for the less cheap feeling it brings.“

“I have been here many times when it first opened, so I have not been in a while. We sat outside on a nice evening. There only seemed to be two people working the front, probably because we went super early and they were not busy. The busser and bartender were both very friendly and helpful. We ordered the French 75, one coniac and one gin. They were both delicious. We had the tomato burrata salad which was delicious. I ordered the bread because they used to do this acme baguette with butter that was so delicious. They had a focaccia which I probably wouldn’t order again. It was a bit dry and flavorless. We also had this yummy lavender drink with cream frothed at the top and it was divine! Madison was our waitress and the bartender making all the drinks! She not only makes the drinks, she does the recipes! We were really impressed with her service and care when it came to craft cocktails. For the entree we shared the saffron risotto with lobster. It was kind of pricey for what it was. I didn’t taste the saffron and we got like 3 chunks of lobster. I wouldn’t order it again. I will definitely come back because there were so many more yummy sounding dishes that I wanted to try and of course more cocktails I’d love to taste.“

“Been coming here since grad school in the early 2000s. Still good food after all these years. The nice owners work so hard to make delicious food. Too bad they no longer serve beer. Owner says SCU students got too rowdy with alcohol and causing trouble, so it’s not worth it to serve alcohol anymore. Thank the kids for ruining it for everyone.“
