The salads are vibrant and crisp, the proteins are cooked to perfection, and I can always count on their delicious, house-made sauces to elevate each meal. “There is usually a split of either good food or good drinks when it comes to happy hour, this place comes close to both good. We were seated promptly at a booth since it was after 4pm on a Monday. Daisy helped us with drinks and appetizers. We chose poke nachos, chicken wrap with lettuce, hummus with bread, all meat pizza, poke nachos and calamari. The drinks arrived and the appetizers quickly followed. The calamari came with a red sauce and a slightly spiced tartar sauce, good crisp. The hummus, a friend's go-to, had a nutty flavor. The poke nachos had a crisp fried wonton wrap, I was hoping for larger cubes but the flavor was nice (not shoyu) and good texture. The pizza was great, the proper thin crust with meat and cheese. A friend chose the chicken lettuce wrap with 2 sauces, peanut sauce and Thai sweet and sour. The chicken and peanut sauce had a bit too much of ginger so she did not like it as much. The chicken was a little dry. The beer is what our friend likes and he tries a different one when he visits. Serving size was generous, service was nice and efficient. Parking at Santana Row can get crowded. We parked in garage off Winchester Blvd after Tatum. It is free for the first 2 hours.“

“My first time going here and I can confirm it didn’t disappoint . The food is fresh and delicious. Definitely worth a try. My favorite combo is sweet potato noodles with teriyaki chicken. Overall amazing customer service and great atmosphere.“

“Food was excellent! Flat iron steak was done med rare as ordered. Chicken with cranberry sauce and brussels sprouts was perfect. The delicious apple/caramel bread pudding definitely enough to share. The atmosphere is an older converted garage but it is well worth going for the food!

“We really enjoyed our first trip to this charming small eatery in downtown San Jose. Tucked away on Post north of First St., without obvious signage, The Club can be hard to find, but is worth the search. The craft cocktails were creative, interesting, and delicious. The Kale salad was a large serving, with a tasty house made dressing and a variety of fresh ingredients. The Short Ribs are were tender moist and delicious, served over a small serving of parsnip purée. My seafood pasta was deliciously sauced with generous portions of shrimp and salmon, though a little more pasta would have been nice. Crème Brûlée was delicious. Prices are moderate, appropriate for quality. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful,. Decor is minimalist but tasteful. Overall very enjoyable, a good time was has by all!“

Brunch at Eos & Nyx was such a treat. Every dish felt thoughtful and well-balanced, and it’s clear the kitchen really cares about how flavors and textures come together.

I started with the Deviled Eggs (smoked salmon, trout roe, allium) and they were a perfect opener. The filling was silky with a subtle smoky richness from the salmon, and the trout roe added these fun little pops of briny flavor. The fried onions brought just the right crunch to tie everything together.

I had a mini drink adventure next. The server kindly brought me a sample of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Time, which truly tasted exactly like peanut butter and jelly (impressive, but a full glass might have been too much for me!). I ended up ordering Trix Aren’t For Kids (gin, trix, rice milk, ginger, passionfruit, cream, lemon, egg white) and it was fantastic—smooth, bright, slightly creamy, and surprisingly easy to drink.

For my main I had the Stuffed French Toast (lemon mousse, billionaire’s bacon, infused maple, cinnamon, sugar). The toast itself was incredibly light and fluffy with just the right level of sweetness. The lemon mousse added a bright, creamy lift that balanced everything nicely. And the billionaire’s bacon created that perfect sweet-and-savory combo. The flavors were so good on their own that I barely needed the maple syrup.

My only small critique: the butter pad was frozen rather than softened, so it didn’t spread or melt the way you’d hope on warm French toast. A tiny detail, but one that would elevate an already great dish.

Service was friendly and attentive, and overall the meal felt worth the price (about $71 with a 25% tip). The only other note is that the music inside was pretty loud—great energy if you’re brunching with friends, but maybe a bit much if you’re hoping to quietly read while you eat like I was.

Overall, another great experience at Eos & Nyx. Their dinners are already standout, and brunch definitely holds its own. I’d happily come back and order the exact same thing again.“

“What a great find on the last day of our trip to California. The space was beautiful, the staff was great and the food was delicious! The chicken was delicious and filling and fresh. The Cioppino was fabulous!!! The garlic bread that came with it was delicious. I had a green salad to start and it too was excellent. Great glass of Zinfandel. And the flourless almond cake with pineapple and vanilla gelato also delicious. They focus on fresh, quality ingredients. Well done!“

“We have been customers of Bazille across several states for years. We find the food to be of good quality, well-prepared, and served with great care. The service was great at the Bazille in San Jose. The atmosphere was elegant casual and conducive to a nice dinner with family or friends without having to compete with noise. “I had the Chicken Mix Bowl with the smokey chipotle sauce and it was AMAZING. I am allergic to dairy, gluten, and soy so being able to not worry about that with my meal was so nice. I also have ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) and have a really hard with certain textures, usually chicken is really hard for me to eat but I had no issues with this chicken!! The texture was consistent all the way through, pulled apart really easily, and was just overall amazing. The portions are really good and the food is very flavorful. I'm really happy with my meal. “An earlier review was complaining about the holes and I was dumbfounded. Yes it's freaking inside which limits space but the course uses the space so well. The holes were so fun! I liked the non traditional holes - I mean this isn't Pebble Beach - it's freaking mini golf!

We went day drinking here and played the full 18 holes. I was a bit disappointed in the drink options - the non-alcoholic ones sounded so good - so I ordered one of those with a shot.

Parking can be found right around the corner. Or the light rail goes right by ...“

“Located downtown, always has friendly service and solid drinks plus food. Located at the Four Points and nearby lots of things to do in San Jose. During the day or night, it is a good place to chat with the bartender and have some solid cocktails and snacks.“

“Black Sheep Brasserie is a lovely addition to the downtown Willow Glen district. The location is convenient and charming, with the bonus of having their own parking, which is always appreciated in this area.

We visited on a Friday evening and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded, making for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Service was a standout: friendly, cheerful, and professional without being intrusive.

Food-wise, the meal was consistently strong. The Grilled Beet Salad was excellent—the dressing was well balanced, and the candied walnuts were a perfect complement, adding just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. The Steak Tartare was spot-on, seasoned exactly right and very satisfying.

The Wild Mushroom Risotto with Duck Confit was solid: the risotto itself was cooked perfectly with great texture and flavor. The duck was good—maybe not the highlight of the dish, but it worked well overall.

The real surprise of the night was the Grilled Tomahawk Pork Chop. Expecting it to be dry, we ordered it medium rare and were blown away. It came out juicy and tender, with a beautifully developed crust, and the sauce paired with it perfectly. Easily one of the best pork chops I’ve had.

Dessert sealed the deal. The Bread Pudding was truly special, with a nicely done crust and a flavor that was just right—not too bland, not overly sweet. The berries and ice cream were a perfect match and elevated the dish even further.

Overall, Black Sheep Brasserie delivers excellent food, warm service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a place worth revisiting.“
