“Very nice casual restaurant, that I visited while in Sunnyvale. I had the salmon, roasted potatoes, and asparagus. My food tasted fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was clean and well lit. We will definitely come back when we are in town again.“

“An exceptional culinary experience at Protégé in Palo Alto. Every dish showcased masterful technique and impeccable flavors. The A5 Japanese Wagyu Ribeye was perfectly marbled and melted effortlessly, while the Crab and Caviar delivered a luxurious balance of brine and sweetness. The lobster toast was crisp, buttery, and indulgent, and the Black Bass—flawless in execution—was the best I’ve encountered. The Ricotta Dumplings , delicate yet deeply flavorful, rounded out an unforgettable meal. The shigoku oysters with whipped ponzu were indescribably fresh and flavorful. The sunflower Caesar, with its preserved tomato jam, was a unique and unforgettable twist on a classic. As for the brick chicken that we took to go, it was so delicious that it barely made it home before being devoured. The experience was elevated even further by the outstanding service—every person was kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to creating a memorable evening. “The food, service, and vibe are outstanding. Every dish (we had 13 and shared them all) was distinct and a hit - no misses, from the milk bread to the grilled snap peas to the sesame fritters topped with smoked trout cream to the crispy pork belly to the meaty fat asparagus spears over a bit of flavorful rice porridge to the strawberry soft serve under a layer of delicious foam and over a layer of delicious gel. I could go on. It’s a super-comfortable atmosphere with friendly, professional, accommodating staff. For the number of dishes we ordered and their complexity, the price was reasonable. The only question is, why doesn’t this restaurant have any Michelin stars yet?“

“This is probably the best restaurant in Sunnyvale! Literally everything was perfect. Valley Goat is everything you’d expect from a Michelin star establishment. They have perfected and mastered their flavors along with cooking every dish to the absolute perfection. Of the 10 dishes we ordered, including dessert, there is literally nothing to critique. Even the cocktails were masterfully crafted and balance.

On top of an absolutely stellar dinner, the ambiance of the entire restaurant is mesmerizing with the greenery and modern elegance of all the decor.

Lastly, a huge shoutout to our server, Angel, would went above and beyond to secure us some amazing anniversary party hats and ensured we had the best birthday meal possible!!“

“Horsefeather is a beautiful spot that clearly puts a lot of care into its atmosphere. The decor is stunning — detailed, well-thought-out, and full of character. You can tell the team took their time crafting a space that feels inviting and stylish. Service was excellent. The staff were attentive, quick to refresh water glasses, and even took care to replace the table felt, keeping everything spotless and comfortable. As for the food, everything was solid and well-executed. The salmon was prepared nicely — classic and straightforward. The wild mushroom pasta was the highlight of the meal, rich and flavorful with great depth. The shrimp tacos were another standout; fresh, well-balanced, and seemingly made completely in-house.The only drawback is the pricing; it’s definitely on the higher side for what you get. Still, given it’s Palo Alto, that comes with the territory. Overall, a lovely dining experience with great service and a beautiful setting.“

“I randomly found this place on Google Maps. It looks like they might have opened recently.
It’s a little confusing to figure out where the entrance and parking are, because you can’t really see the café from the road. The area is surrounded by offices, so at first it almost seems like there’s no café there.

But it turned out to be a great find. This was honestly the best sandwich I’ve had in America in the past 3 years. The bread was perfectly toasted and crispy, and the ingredients were fresh and very juicy.

The coffee was good as well. I also tried a pastry — the croissant was incredibly fresh“

“Pretty average hotel. Giving it 4 stars given it included breakfast and happy hour. The bartenders and omlette maker were excellent and friendly. Other breakfast staff seemed less than thrilled to be there but overall went about their tasks and kept out of guests way. The rooms could definitely use some updating and the layout was quite awkward being right next to the stairwell. The room felt cramped and the bathroom small to maneuver in. Not sure if all rooms were that way but I'd suggest a different room. The hotel was reasonably close to some restaurants and easy enough to get around the area. Overall not a bad stay.“

“Service only assisted when chased down. The food was okay, nothing special and perhaps overcooked. Please , please wash your windows! The view is one of the best parts of your inside facilities and it was covered in a smear of dirt and streaks. Quiet and available for a last minute Mother's Day supper with plenty of parking.“
