We had a great experience getting dinner at Ethel's Fancy - one member of our party had specific allergies which the chef was able to accommodate perfectly. Highly recommended!
Lovely staff in a non-stuffy little restaurant. We ate outside, in front off the street. The tasting menu was excellent - inventive, delicious. The food came a bit fast, but as soon as I asked them to slow it down, pacing was excellent. Highly recommend. I would go back for that short rib yakiniku, the crispy pork belly, the char grilled sugar snap peas, and the bread!
Dinner was excellent. We started with the Herb Slinger and the Frozen martini, both were very good. The Discovery menu was sold out, so we ordered the roasted baby beets, the sesame pancakes with smoked trout, the coconut fritters with king salmon, the kampachi sashimi, the yellowfin tuna on koshihikari rice, and the lemongrass beef dumplings.
