The serving sizes are nice and the owner, I believe, is kind and always checks up on us and adds nice little touches like complimentary tea when it’s slow. The seating is nice and great for couples, families, and eating alone. The restaurant is clean and has a cozy ambiance.”

Each person has two people to talk to at the bar (Me - Jeff- Elon - Mark - Lauren - Priscilla - Sergey- - Larry - Larry - plus 4 additional guests if others can attend - Camelia Me 12 Camelia Typically my wife returns home early by Lyft or Uber but I stay out later and sometimes overnight in Woodside at a suitable location.”

My family is from Central Asia and we came mainly for uzbek plov made with lamb (which is rare) and samsa’s with different stuffing :)
Btw, they have plov only 3 days a week, so ask about it in advance.

“I can’t believe how delicious the food is here!! And the owner is an amazing guy! I found this place out of pure luck, and this week I came to here 3 times already. I tried breakfast burrito(x2) and super quesadilla. Both were amazing. Can’t wait to try more!”

“Tried Roja in Los Altos on 8/25. We had a group gathering, dinner was very good. Menu selection is good. We brought our own wine and there was a corkage fee. The restaurant is not too big but we had 12 of us and was able to fit.

The rib eye dish was excellent. The duck breast also looks very good. Overall we had a good time. The food and service were very good.”

“I visited elComal for a Sunday Brunch. It was a great experience for me and the family. I enjoyed the omlette and the mole a lot, the street corn was great too. The place sits by the main street in the downtown and i saw some very fancy classic cars drive by. Really loved the experience of sitting outside.
The host went above and beyond and was very friendly. 5stars all around.”

“When a place has been around as long as this, there must be something good there! That's the case here. Been coming here for years and won't stop coming since we always have a great experience, great service and delicious food. Came here for an early dinner so right when the opened and allowed us to get great service, enjoy the outside patio and the quietness of the street.

Highlights:
- Albacore ginger roll: simple but never seen it before and loved it. Good quality white tuna with ginger along the sides. 5 stars
- Tempura: crispy crunchy batter than typical airy style but was good Order came with 2 shrimp, 2 onion, sweet potato, carrot. Bonus for daikon coming with the tempura sauce. 4 stars
- Scallop nigiri: nice size, flavor, and texture. 4 stars
- Dragon roll: solid version but unagi could've been bit better. They were able to do it without the crab for me. I'm not a fan of that mayo mix 3.5 stars
- Miso soup: came with lots of tofu and a pretty decent sized bow: 3.5 stars
- 3 different menus: sushi, specials, dinner menu
- Japanese waitress was nice.
- Seating inside with booth tables, a tatami room, and tables on the patio even
- Classical music made me feel calm and cultured

“Food is very good. Banh Mi sandwich is warm and soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Contents are flavored nicely. Chicken salad pretty good. Soups pretty good. Service is very weak. Had to walk up to the counter to ask for some sauces, which were promised but never delivered. An ordered item didn't get entered or delivered. Setting is nice but furniture is falling apart - chair felt like it was going to fail. I may go back, but it could be better.”

“I discovered the place by accident. I was next door inside Michaels having some art pieces custom framed when I decided to look for a place to stop by to eat. I was starving. I was craving for pasta. And thats how I got to discover this place. I ordered the chicken fettucine alfredo. Love the dish with its chunky chicken pieces and al dente pasta. The complimentary cheese sticks with that cheese pimiento cheese spread was a delightful surprise. Next time Ill check their lasagna and clam chowder. I heard their clam chowder is as good as Boulins in San Francisco. I dont have to make a drive to the city to enjoy a good bowl of chowder. The lasagna looks so rich as well as their chopino. Im definitely comjng back.”

They have a sushi train going around the bar area in the center! The jewel is the service. The chef, the server, and the owner John all came to check on us and chat with us! “I walked in at 7:30 first customers of the day and I was greeted with kindness. I sat down and I ordered a delightful strawberry banana fruit smoothie which was brought to me quickly. Then I ordered two pancakes and a side of bacon which was brought incrediblely fast. was pretty good compared to other cafe's. My experience here was great and I would highly recommend Rick's Cafe if you're near Los Altos and looking for a great breakfast or lunch.”

“Always love going to Teaspoon for tasty, refreshing drinks. It’s a perfect way to start the day with some caffeine and beat the heat during summer! You can customize drinks so that you end up with the perfect amount of sweetness and can add from a variety of flavorful, fun toppings.”

“New “more than a coffeehouse” in Mountain View with a Venezuelan touch. Good ambiance and the menu offers an extensive list of items to please every taste. I got the “empanaditas” which are fried. Comes with cheese filling and ground beef. The red sauce was super hot. Caught me by surprise and I coughed and got teary eyes. It needs a warning! Coffee was great and look at that perfect heart work! Just beautiful. Parking during a Saturday can be challenging but a 2 block walk is a solution. Try it!”

“I wanted to try something new, and since this place served traditional Japanese, I decided to give it a shot and it was truly amazing! You definitely have to try the grilled rice ball, the beef with apple onion steak sauce, and the maguro-don (tuna) tray. The flavors were so unique and unlike anything I've had before. I absolutely loved exploring new dishes, and the flavor profiles were incredible!”

“I have been coming to Red Pepper since March of 2020, and the place is fabulous! The staff, food, drinks, and they treat me like a family member. The owner, Mario Gurrola, has always been great to me. He treats me like a son, and so do their staff. My favorite margarita is the Mi Caballo, I am a regular customer, can come to a safe place to feel relaxed. So, come to a welcoming and friendly Mexican restaurant! 😊”

“My favorite brunch place in Mountain View/Los Altos. It feels very homey as soon as you walk in. I always get the Pfannkuchen and the German scramble and they never disappoint!

The lady at the register is always super nice so that just adds and extra touch that makes it feel cozy.”
