One of the first things I noticed was the high-quality of the menu: Mary's chicken, Scottish salmon, and other brands we love. The kitchen didn't disappoint. It was delicious and our guests were really pleased. The service was outstanding. and as we hoped, they had heaters and it was comfortable to eat outside in December. “Service was amazing! Garrett was so attentive and would bring everything we needed before we could even think of asking. Service like that is what makes the experience truly memorable. The atmosphere is good too—not too loud and beautiful decor. Ingredients were delicious, but I was not a fan of some dishes (could be personal preference). The cucumber salad seemed too acidic and the pork belly with burrata pairing didn’t go well in my opinion. But again, the quality was great and the rest is personal preference. Would be an injustice if I didn’t mention that trout was absolutely delectable! Might be the best one I’ve ever had. Also, the vanilla soft serve with cardamom crumble was a hit!“
“Held a group dinner for 14 here on a Friday. The process for booking, menu selection, etc., were all very professional and easy. Great menu options, flexible re food allergies, and the room was lovely - if too tight for the cocktail/ circulating hor d'oeuvres concept. People clustered in the 4 corners of the room and didn't have room to really mingle. Considering it was a relatively big group, the food was quite good (though duck was a bit tough & scallops were disappointingly small - not succulent).I would come again. Conundrum is that the minimum was high for our group, so I'd book again for a larger group, but the room would be really too tight for more than, say, 16 people.“
“Super cute restaurant inside the Park James Hotel.The only reason this isn’t a five stars because of a few operational issues.There is no parking. They do offer valet but only the first two hours are free. Luckily I found street parking about a block away so good to know that is an option.While the ascetics are beautiful, the comfort level is not great. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. The backseat cushions on the booth move around as it is hanging on a bar as a freestanding pillow situation.Unfortunately, the lighting kept changing from super bright to dim a few times during the hour and a half we were there.The food is five stars. Everything we had was cooked perfectly with tons of flavor. We started with the calamari. The sauce that came with it was so good.We then decided to share the ceasar salad and the squid ink seafood pasta. The pasta bowl was overflowing with tender seafood. The pasta was cooked perfect and the sauce had a little kick that was a welcome surprise. So good! ?The drinks and deserts were really good as well.The service was attentive, friendly and absolutely lovely. Everyone from the host, to the chef, to the servers were excellent. ??We were there on a Wednesday night and had no problems getting a table, but I can see how on the weekends or sunny days (for the outdoor area) it can get quite busy. Would recommend making sure to have a reservation.They also had live music the night we were there, and the talent was quite good.I will definitely be back for the food, but will be sure to request one of the high top tables or outside seating.“
“A lovely meal. The chef is super creative in the use of vegetables and original sauces. Nice selection of wines by the glass, which our server was happy to let me taste before ordering. Highly recommend the cauliflower starter and the chickpea risotto, which were quite exceptional. The baked cod however was a bit too salty. And we needed to order some bread to cleanse our palate afterwards. They did offer to remake the fish which was thoughtful, but it would have interrupted the flow of our dinner at that stage. That said, it was a great experience overall. And don't skip the s'mores desert!“

“Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.“

“We love Vino Locale! Nice ambiance, great wine list, and solid snacks to enjoy. Of of the best things about Vino Locale is that the wine list isn't just the same 5 wines that you see at many other places, they offer a great variety of domestic & international wines, and treat each one well. I love the Sancerre on the menu, and appreciate that they offer 6oz or 9oz pours, half bottles, and full bottles. The Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon and Miraval Rose are also among my favorites. In terms of food items, I usually gravitate toward the chicken skewers are a good option and come with a few flavor/sauce options. The beet salad is good, and I often get their Brussels sprouts (know what to expect, though: they're not fried/crispy, but are tasty - served with parmesan, cranberries, almonds, and optional bacon). The cheese plates and hummus platter are also good, reliable options. Service is so friendly! They have a nice dog-friendly patio (and often have a few treats for pups), and live music most Thursday evenings.“

My burger was actually 4 sliders! One patty with 4 Hawaiian rolls as buns...yum. I asked for extra green onions on my chili tots, which were plentiful. My mother in love ordered their special Thanksgiving sausage, and my husband had the Reservoir Hog. I yell you, the menu is unique as it is good. Who would have thought that no hormone or antibiotic added meats could be reasonable priced and tasty. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and our ability to grab our own condiments, too.“

As you can tell by the photos, they don't skimp on anything. It's really enough food for two meals, and the fries and onion rings, we crushed them while they are hot. All the ingredients tasted super fresh, the bread was perfectly crunchy on both sandwiches. I think for the quality and amount of food you get, the pricing is really reasonable, especially in Palo Alto. For drinks we went with the espresso martinis, and they were delightful and reasonable priced at $13.95. Located at the Stanford golf course, this definitely a hidden spot. If you know, you know. Everything was locally fresh, impressive, and yet so familiar; great setting for perfect comfort food in a family-owned restaurant. We regret we didn’t try their signature Dungeness crab pasta and that will be something for another visit. This experience was an excellent surprise on our work trip.“
