Good prices, very good quality ingredients, and we were very pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed our lunch - hot and sour soup, pot stickers, dumplings, and beef soup noodle (which was brisket and excellent). “One of the two best taprooms on the SF peninsula. If you know this one, you don't need me to tell you the other one, which is about 2 miles away. Like that place, AA has been getting better and better for the last decade or so. No food here though, it's all about the craft beer knowledge and vibe. Can't recommend a place more highly. Staff, music, and TVs showing classic 70s-90s films when there's no relevant sports on. This is the best there is .“

“Great food and friendly service. The tables are unfortunately permanently tacky/sticky which never feels good as you're eating. Our waitress was very nice and cleaned it again to make sure that's all it was. But it would be good to fix that.

I'm glad we sat outside, the music inside was nice but it would be far too loud to have a conversation in there.“

“Had a wonderful dining experience at West Park Bistro. The food was incredibly flavorful and the portions were very generous. Service was top-notch—attentive and friendly throughout the night. I also really appreciated the layout; the atmosphere is pleasant and there is plenty of space between tables so you don't feel crowded. Highly recommend!“

“This is definitely a hidden gem in a small strip of San Carlos. My bestie took me here for a birthday dinner, so it was as my first time. The sushi is so fresh and everything we ate tasted delicious, melt in your mouth!!! The staff was fun and had great energy! My only caveat is they were not pacing the dishes and it felt a bit overwhelming. Especially since we were the only ones I. There for the longest time. We loved the attention, but yeah, the attention to timing needed to be present. I would recommend this spot to anyone though. It’s definitely cute for a date night of any kind, but also remember you are in San Carlos and not the city, and this is not in the downtown part.“

“My family and I were searching for a great pizza spot near San Carlos and stumbled upon Impasto through Google Maps. I managed to snag a reservation just an hour beforehand, and I’m so glad I did because there were only two slots left. Shortly after we arrived, the place packed out—in the best way possible.

The interior is absolutely beautiful. My wife and I couldn't stop admiring the color palette and how well the entire design came together. Even the small details, like the flower vases on the tables, were incredibly thoughtful.

Our server, Jackson, was fantastic. He gave us great recommendations and, refreshingly, didn't make us feel uncomfortable when we decided to skip drinks that night—something that happens way too often at other places.

Every single thing we ordered was incredible, from the pizza and the roasted beet salad to the veal cannelloni special and tiramisu.

My only minor hurdle was the initial confusion with parking, but the hostess kindly cleared that up for us so we know exactly where to go on our next visit. We will definitely be back!“

“Went for a hike down the road in the nature preserve and on my way driving up I saw this taco truck. Decided to grab some tacos on the way out and this place did not disappoint!!! The service was warm and friendly and the carnitas tacos were delicious. It was quite busy on a weekday at lunch which is a good sign. Cash/venmo/zelle only. $13 for 3 tacos and a drink. Would check it out if you’re in the area! :)“

“We have enjoyed Elia about 4 times now for dinner. Overall, very nice upscale Greek cuisine. Main dishes are generously portioned. Love the grilled artichoke and dolmathes appetizer and the salads are solid. Souvlaki was well cooked, someone in our party has always ordered this and not been disappointed. Mousakka was ok - seemed baked a bit too long and was overly salted. Lobster tail pasta delicious; generous lobster portion and a very rich sauce.

Service: 3 of our 4 visits have had great service - solid and attentive but on our last visit, the service wasn't the same as the prior 3 times; the main server didn't come by all that frequently and the adjunct servers had to be reminded of a couple of small requests we made (drink refill, bread refill).“

“The food is solid… I’ve tried tacos, quesadillas, burritos, etc and all are delicious. For me, the green salsa served with chips/meals is amazing!!! Many places serve chips and salsa, but I will always go back because of the green salsa served… not sure if it’s called verde or tomatillo, but it makes the restaurant for me.“

“Very good pizza, thin crust for our taste. We shared a large pizza with 3 adults. We also shared a large Cesar's salad. Our son had the sliders and loved them. We enjoyed their drinks and a nice beer. Convenient location in San Carlos!“

“I come here almost every other day to study. It has WiFi Outlets, and Internet. Good for long study sessions.

The Hot Chocolate is superb. I absolutely love their cheesecake. This place is great with indoor, outdoor and super inside seating (pictures attached).

The servers are warm and professional. You will see friends and elders in groups to grab quick bites and snacks. People come to do work, code, discuss books or catch up with friends. Clean washrooms.

Elder friendly and accessible. The main colors are blue, woody, white and even though seems French - it is not. Birthday cakes are popular. Kitchen seems clean and professional. Also, dog friendly and kids love the place too. ✨“

“Always like a place where the windows open up to the street, and there are a couple tables in front on the sidewalk you could use with your pup. The decor is simple but nice. The service a bit on the slow side, but nothing to complain about assuming you're not in a hurry. Food is very good and flavorful. But being Burmese don't expect your pad thai to be like in Thailand (here it is a little sweeter), nor your curry like India (not as spicy). We came for lunch midweek, and it is a bit expensive for lunch (because all they serve is off the same menu used for dinner). So your better value may be dinner. Our bill was $60 for two without tip or any alcohol.“
