We were craving Japanese food and discovered this restaurant in San Carlos. It's a family-owned business located at the corner, with 1-2 tables outdoors. There were no issues with the service, and you can watch as they prepare and slice the sashimi in front of you. We visited during lunchtime, so they offered a lunch special bento box. I was sad when Ryu Sushi closed down at this location, but Sushi Kazoku is even better! It's great having a local sushi place in San Carlos with more interesting cuts of fish, particularly with a good range of different types of toro. Everything I've tried so far has been great - I particularly like their lunch bentos and sashimi sets.
