I haven't had gelato this good since I was italy. My wife and I tried stracitella, hazelnut, Belgian chocolate and rhum raisin and they were all excellent. From the texture to the depth of flavor you can tell this is quality gelato.
The staff were also a delight. We chatted with the owner Jean Paul and it is evident that a lot of expertise and heart go into the product.“

“Anchored in the bay, all the way from Puget sound and a dinghy ride in for food. Walked around and quickly realized this was the busiest spot in town. Cold beverages outside made the wait alright. The "award winning" fish and chips were great! Calamari too. Great food, generous portions & good view of our boats. Staff was fun too. Cheers!“

“This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! “I have been Jonesin for for a lobster roll. I ordered the lobster and cheese sandwich, thinking it would be a grilled cheese with a dash of lobster. Boy, was I wrong! It has a generous helping of lobster, the right amount of cheese and perfect on sourdough! This went well with a black and tan, along with some delicious cheesy tots! This is a really nice, friendly pub and I will be back!!“

“Rarely do I give 5 star reviews but the ladies and the coffee are TOPS. The owner got a new (super expensive) espresso machine a year or so ago and you can definitely taste it. Beans were always above average but now you can taste the difference. And the ladies/service there??!!? Maaaan, good people. Tip well, It's worth it. Trust me, I've been in the food service industry for over 23 years. Owner's a good guy too“

“Hubby and I come here about once a year because we liked their clam chowder, the atmosphere, and the proximity to the beach. The service was excellent as always, friendly and engaged. I was there yesterday and was so excited for my cup of clam chowder, but I found it watery, and I think it was not the usual one they had. They might have changed the recipe or the cook. I did not like it at all; I will probably come back and try something else.“
