“I had the pork cochinita pibil burrito and it was delicious! It was not overpowered by the typical sour cream, lettuce or cheese. The chicken adobo was exquisite! The chicken was so flavorful, tender and juicy! We will definitely come back to try other dishes. Thanks Chef Arturo for introducing us to Mayan/Yukatan cuisine!“
“Food was excellent. Service was good but not great. Our server was not totally with it. He kept calling for a chicken sandwich when I clearly ordered a chicken salad. The salad was great. We made sure the chicken sandwich we did not order was taken off the bill. Our appetizer never came. We made sure it was not in the bill. Ambiance was good. We like the HMB Brewery, have been there many times over the years and plan to be back. Food is fresh, well prepared, and well presented. We hope the server at our table gets better over the weeks to come. The four stars given for the server missing his mark over the appetizer and the sandwich we did not order. Otherwise it would have been five stars.“
“Friendly and accommodating to my 99 year old father and his walker. We were driving north and he needed a restroom and wanted a coffee. We first tried 4 other restaurants in that complex with closer parking, but none would let him use their restroom- "closing soon", "come back in 10 minutes when we are open for customers", "we don't serve coffee and restrooms are only for customers"...very frustrating! However, Jersey Joe's was welcoming and friendly. The fries, beer and soda were fine, but the attitudes of respect and humanity were superior!“
“First time visiting Half Moon Bay and love the vibe! Eating @ this popular breakfast place, Johnny's, added to the overall experience. Decided to check it out after reading all the Yelp reviews. Immediately I noticed all the details that make this place feel welcoming. First, are the fresh flowers at each table and also on the counters! There is a bit of 60s theme throughout, but not overpowering. Service is excellent! The OG Eggs Bennedicte with potatoes was deliciously satisfying! Loved everything and hope to return in near future. Parking was surprisingly easy to find this morning considering it was a week day. I heard parking on weekends and holidays is another story.“
“Easter Brunch at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay. We have been going to their Easter Brunch since I was a kid but this is my first review. RC Easter Brunch is one of the best in the world and definitely the BEST Ritz Carlton Brunch anywhere...and I have tried oh so many! We ordered for appetizers: Pan seared Scallop, Smoked Salmon, Flavored Oysters, Flight of Caviar (two), Flight of Marin County Cheese, Classic Benedict and Blue Prawns with cocktail sauce. They were all petite sizes which were meant to tease and tickle our taste buds. For entrees tapas sized we had Westholme A9 Ribeye, Lobster Tail and Wagyu Beef Sliders. Lastly we ordered the Cake Tower for two with Four different desserts. We were also given a piece of Chocolate in a fancy Ritz Carlton box. The Easter Brunch was so worthwhile in driving distance, bespoke service and exceptional food quality. We dined at 10am and did not eat anything else for the day.“
“This place is the best! We took our whole family here after walking the HMB beach path Easter morning. My husband and I have a 3 year old boy, a 10 month old girl as well as a (lazy) bulldog and everyone enjoyed this place! The food was delish--I had the burger with arugula and buttermilk ranch & my hubby had the fried chicken sando-- to both! The drinks were so refreshing, I had the hazy IPA and the hubby had a regular IPA, the hazy was better imo. The ambiance in the dog area exceeded our expectations. They have music playing outside and it's totally a vibe for the whole family. I would highly recommend this place. Just be aware they are closed Monday & Tuesday.“
“Omg! We had to taste a little of several dishes! We shared and took some home for tomorrow. The staff was wonderful! The focaccia was so soft and delicious. The bolognese spaghetti... mwah! Pear salad was perfect flavor combinations! But my absolute favorite was the minestrone... a 25 year old original recipe ... best minestrone I've ever had! Italian finger kiss of the deepest respect ... It's Italia!“
“Celebrating the wife's Birthday.Stopped in Wed, then again on Sunday April 7th.. Great service from Christian. Then had a nightcap or 2, at the bar.. Bartender, (Luis) was great... Our go to place, when RVing in HMB. And of course the pianist Terry Disley..“
“Ketch has been a staple at pillar point for a while. I went a couple of times back when it was the old ketch and still had a very divey feel. It now is very clean and elegant inside but they made sure to keep the old sign and some remnants of the old spot. This place holds a special place in my heart. My dad used to go here all the time. The food is much better! The calamari sandwich is to die for and the clam chowder is delicious! I will definitely be coming back often for the food and the memories.“
“We came here on a semi-rainy day with our dog and sat in the large back yard! I was craving seafood so we got the fish tacos Baja style grilled (yum! The red cabbage was almost creamy) and the fish and chips were a bit more decadent but with a hell of a lot of fish. We also split a grilled cheese which was surprisingly delicious and came with a side of fries. We chose to get the vegetable of the day which was as Brussels sprouts. They were topped with Parmesan and were a good attempt although a little greasy for my liking. The woman at the counter was super nice and answered all my questions about the different fish options. You can even order a side of cod on a salad if you want something super healthy. I thought the backyard was nice and there was a fire pit. There was some seating with an overhang which is good for rain. You pick up the food yourself and get your own silverware. Overall, would come back.“
“The Half Moon Bay Ritz Carlton is surely one of if not *the* premiere resort hotel and spa in the San Francisco Bay Area. We love it in all its expansivenss, greeness, oceanside-ness, peacefulness, and even its often overcast-ness. And right in its grand atrium is the restaurant they call The Conservatory. In our judgement, the menu always satisfies, including and especially the generously-portioned seafood ciopinno. And ...the views -- surely the best view of the entire resort, even better than the technically more upscale sister restaurant, Navio. My wife and I most recently enjoyed Valentine's Day lunch here. Absolutely sublime.“
“Do not pass this place up. The food is outstanding with portions that are more than filling. Like everyone else, I recommend the fried calamari and cheesy garlic bread. I had the gnocchi and asked them to mix the pesto and Alfredo sauce, wow! The service was wonderful, ask for Scooby, he'll know who sent you.“
“As neighbors of Mullins we have been coming for the last (almost) 5 years, and over the last couple of months there has been a great shift. Before the food was good, but we were worried once they changed to a steakhouse it would be too much. I have to say we were completely wrong. Its fantastic now. Chef Roberto has done a great job with the new menu. Best potatoes (mashed OR baked) I have ever had. I crave them. Steaks are cooked to perfection (we recommend the filet). I also have to say that you can tell in the last almost year the way the restaurant is managed and the atmosphere has changed for the better. Brian has been a GREAT addition to the team. He is so friendly and always greets you with a smile. He remembers people, which is so nice. He always looks for a way to make the customer his main priority and it makes you want to come back over and over again.“
“When you arrive before opening and see a line that's usually a good sign, and it was no exception here. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. We mainly got the hamburgers / special burgers and the herb salad. However, we'd love to try the other items on the menu as everything else had was tasty.“
