About Dad's Luncheonette

Dad's Luncheonette is a small sandwich shop in Half-moon Bay that specializes in locally grown ingredients. This quirky diner is located in a modified train car, featuring a unique boat-shaped design and friendly servers who create a welcoming atmosphere. Sandwiches come with a soft egg, cheese, red onion pickles, dad's sauce, lettuce, and white bread, and are served with a side of homemade potato chips sprinkled with yeast for added flavor. The hamburger sandwich is meaty and juicy, perfectly complemented by pickled onions and a secret sauce. The mushroom sandwich features delicate and unique maitake mushrooms, making it a great choice for lunch. Customers praise the food as fresh and excellent, with the burger often described as the best in a long time. Desserts, such as a lime creation, are said to be exquisite, and the menu varies so there’s always something tasty. The mac and cheese offers a light and unique texture with charred rice puffs on top, not overly rich. The outdoor dining area and quick service add to the charm. With its inviting vibe, tasty food, and friendly service, Dad's Luncheonette is a delightful stop in Half-moon Bay, perfect for those passing through.

Muy deliciosa toda la comida muy lindo espacio y el chef muy amable puro sabor Micheline!!

Food was great, service definitely quick, outdoor seating, & very friendly

Everything I ate was delicious, fresh, and clearly made with love. The staff were all incredibly nice too. One of those places where you can tell the people working truly care about sharing good food with people. I had the mushroom sandwich, potato chips, soup-of-the-day (peach gazpacho), and the pretzel bread pudding. Highly recommend it all
