“I had the pork cochinita pibil burrito and it was delicious! It was not overpowered by the typical sour cream, lettuce or cheese. The chicken adobo was exquisite! The chicken was so flavorful, tender and juicy! We will definitely come back to try other dishes. Thanks Chef Arturo for introducing us to Mayan/Yukatan cuisine!“
“What a great addition to the neighborhood. Arcade games, beer, outdoor seating, reasonable food prices, dog friendly patio.I was very impressed. The staff were so nice, the food was good and prices lower than avg these days, and their layout with the arcade is perfect for kids or groups of kids and adults. Check out their beers on tap or if you’re under 21 the candy menu!!Nice hidden parking lot in back too!Vegetarian options: Ability to choose gluten free or vegan pizza optionsParking: Parking lots in front and back and parking on mainKid-friendliness: Very! Separate arcade room for kids to have a blastWheelchair accessibility: Ramp on Main St side from courtyard good access“
“(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is hidden gem in plain sight coffee house in HMB! Such gorgeous rustic interior decorations! Love the solid wood wall and elephant motiff. Athima warmly greeted us. We ordered the Double Down on the Everything bagel. Bacon, Egg, Sausage goodiness that defines hearty. Double Down is how I Iike it! We also got the Doggy Style...Special. Doggy Special! (For the canine owner in all of us) Sorta impossible for me to order with a straight face. But I did. Is it mischievous me or the words that have a mesmerizing effect? Everyone but the IG model beside me were instantly catatonic. And yes, Yes, YES! They were the best scrambled eggs on Earth! Names do hold magic. By contrast, the Green Pineapple drink exemplified strict good behavior in liquid nourishment! So delish! So green nutrish! The quad shot Gingerbread Cappucino was very Hansel & Gretel good! Heavenly! Especially, for high performance engines like me that run on a higher blood level of cAMP. Isn't that right, ladies? My gosh we just loved this place! The great service, the warm ambiance, and the fab cuisine. Would order everything again...maybe more next time! Super mega thanks, Athima! Woohoo!“
“Best pizza in the Bay Area. The dough, tomato sauce and cheese are divine. Can be a longer wait in the evening but that's because it's so good. Whenever we go to Half Moon Bay, we stop here. In fact, it's usually the reason we go to Half Moon Bay in the first place!Vegetarian options: The veggie pizza is delicious.“
“In the area and craving sushi. Overall good experience. The restaurant was busy and customers were happy. We ordered the Lion King sushi, the unagi roll (bbq eel rolled like a cone), udon noodles with chicken. The food had some amazing flavors. The noodles were tender and delicious. I asked for some hot seasoning and was given a small bottle with some kind of seasoning salt which was nice and spicy, the Lion king sushi pieces were larger than expected, and the unagi cone was good but different. The restaurant had some cool vibes.“
“This gem of a restaurant has tiki vibes and several murals that pay homage to the Honolulu Clipper, a mid-century boat-plane. We had delicious fish and crawfish sandwiches for lunch. However, the real treat was the entirely in-house homemade key lime pie. I've never had better. Never!“
“Very crowded eatery but lots of seating. The lobster corn chowder soup was sooo good! The crab nachos were delicious. My naked lobster roll was better than I’d even imagined?. Highly recommend this place even if it is a bit “spendy”. Great service“
“What a wonderful surprise! I needed gluten free bakery goods, and Lolita Artisanal bakery came through with many choices. The Argentinian Alfjores were a huge hit, as was the amazing gluten free coconut macaroons. Definitely check this cafe out!“
“You already know you want to go here. My review won’t change your mind. I had heard about this place for a long time. It was good but there are so many good burgers around the world so probably not worth the hype. Maybe they make really bad burger in California and so that why they stand out.“
“***For scones and cateringJust like to give a big shout out to Ingrid who was a dream to work with from the start to finish! She was responsive, diligent, and made the holiday craziness a lot smoother. And the scones were a big hit at our event! 5 stars all around :)“
“Antoine's Cookie Shop is hands down one of the best cookie destinations in the Bay Area! From the moment you arrive, you'll likely encounter a line - but trust me, it's absolutely worth the wait. I've tried numerous flavors here, and each one has left me thoroughly impressed. However, there's something truly special about their original chocolate chip. It's incredibly buttery, bursting with flavor, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. One bite and you'll understand why people keep coming back for more. Now, let's talk about the price. Yes, cookies here can add up, but let me tell you, the taste is simply unbeatable. You're not just paying for a cookie; you're investing in a culinary experience that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight. The workers here are quick, efficient, and always ready with a warm smile, ensuring that your visit is as pleasant as can be. Despite its smaller size, the shop is cozy and inviting, with the added bonus of a microwave to warm up those delectable treats - because who can resist a warm, gooey cookie? In conclusion, if you're a cookie enthusiast seeking an unforgettable indulgence, look no further than Antoine's Cookie Shop. With exceptional flavors, efficient service, and a cozy atmosphere, it's a true gem in the heart of the Bay Area.“
“Loved this place. If I wasn't traveling through and I lived there I'd for sure visit again. Loved the whole vibe of not only the restaurant but the outside decor of this whole area. Think it was called BurlingameVegetarian options: See the posted menu“
“Brought the family here after a day in SF. It was the perfect meal after a long day. The crust was thin and crisp and all of the toppings were fresh. We ordered one family pizza and it was more than enough to feed all of us. The staff that helped us were so kind and welcoming. Definitely a place you can order out and eat in at. Definitely will swing by again when I'm traveling through the area again!“
“Recently had the best experience with Chef Jillian. She came to our Airbnb and did a full day personal cooking “class” for my husband and I and:1. The process to book was very easy2. She had such a wide variety of recipes to choose from3. She was prompt, professional, deeply knowledgeable about eating for optimal health. She was also just easy to talk to and fun. It was just us 3 in the kitchen for 5-6 hours and there was never an awkward moment.4. The food we made was SO good. We are meat lovers but 90% of what we booked with her was plant based and it opened my eyes to enjoying vegetables in new ways. Our focus was to learn how to make some new, very healthy dishes that were also good for meal prep and the experience was truly 10/10. Cashew cream was my favorite discovery!“
“We found this restaurant by accident and are so glad that we did. It's cozy and comfortable with booths and beautiful Italian decor.Service was excellent. Waitress knew the food and was very friendly and attentive to us.The food was out of this world! My husband got the fried calamari steak and it was so tender and flavorful. Easily the best I've ever tasted.I had the Pasta Carbonara which most restaurants mess up and make with cream. This was authentic and made with egg and pancetta just like in Italy. The flavor was outstanding!!We also had the Mushroom Polenta appetizer and it was so delicious.Highly recommend this restaurant!!Parking: It's on the frontage road and there are pull in spots right in front. Would probably be full on busy weekend nights. We went early and there were plenty of spots within easy walking distance.“
“Fantastic latte prepared and served up by the owner. Loved the laid back vibe of the place. Life slowed down when I went in. I was not rushed to order, the owner was not rushed in preparing my coffee, and I took time to indulge in every amazing sip amongst other laid back patrons. Also, great downtown location. I was visiting, but I wish I lived in San Mateo so I could frequent this place regularly. If you find yourself there don't miss it. If you are commuting through, jump off the train and walk over. Definitely worth it!“
“This place to always seem to be so busy, wether it may be a weekend or not, there are tons of guests waiting around dinner time whenever I go. This has been an original hot pot place since childhood and is my favorite hot pot location in the bay area, to the wonderful service, unique fresh products, and tasty soup bases. The quality is great, and the bar is one of my favorite with unlimited vanilla soft serve (may be icy), kimchi, oranges, sauces, and etc! Don't forget to order a refreshing drink along with your hotpot I recommend the lemon and plum drinks!“
“Delicious food, great prices, and a friendly atmosphere! The foot long sandwich was packed with fresh meat and vegetables, the garlic noodles were soft and flavorful, and the mushroom burger was huge and super tasty. If you're in the Pacifica area, it's for sure worth the trip over.“
“If you are gluten free or know someone who is, you have found your nirvana. Glorious flavors, beautiful creations and pure joy in a pink box. I've had these gf cupcakes many times, and they never disappoint. Friendly and prompt delivery available. Superb in every way.“
“Best takeaway option for vegan gluten free (celiac friendly) food that I've found. Have gone back several times and the food is consistently delicious. If you like hot sauce and strong flavors, opt for some of their sauces to dress the bowls up a bit. Plain and simple, it's a great healthy option!“
“I recently visited this coffee spot and was immediately struck by its fantastic atmosphere. The place buzzes with a friendly vibe that makes you feel welcome right away. Although I didn't personally try any of the beverages, my companions seemed thoroughly impressed with their choices. The staff deserves a special mention for their warmth and professionalism. A must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and anyone looking for a cozy spot to relax or chat. Will be back to try their coffee myself!“
“I walked around after Mediterranean dinner hoping to find some decent coffee....good sipping expresso...because it's late I only asked for a single!Yummmm...I haven't sipped a coffee so good since maybe Cafe Treiste in the day.The 'piece de resistance' was an amazing lemon tartlett!I'm swooning here!By the way it's 8pm!“
“Love their breads, especially the white bread (or milk toast that's sold as both thick or thin slices) and raisin toast. Good shelf life as they usually last for a week and their breads actually stay pillowy soft! Another favorite is the Portuguese egg tarts or pastel de nata. Crispy, flaky shell with creamy, egg custard - this is definitely a great and very popular so it tends to sell out early. I've recently seen lots of people buying their steamed buns and will need to try that out. The shop is tidy and clean. Minimum $15 purchase for credit card use.“
“Phenomenal, simply put. We tried the oolong, thai, and frozen butter beer. We all loved it. Service is great, they have great selection. They have dairy free options.Vegetarian options: Dairy free optionsParking: Some parking in the front and paid street parking.“
“My husband and I have gone here more than a few times, and the service is amazing, fast, and welcoming. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavors. The ambiance feels like home it's family-friendly. Definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!“
“I work upstairs and this cafe has everything you could possibly want and need. Breakfast foods, coffee, boba, sandwiches, and desserts. Service is always quick and the ladies who work there are extremely nice. The mochi muffins are AMAZING. The chicken pesto is my favorite. You can't go wrong with any of the smoothies, boba, or coffee. Boba is a bit on the sweet side so I always ask for less sugar and they're able to accommodate me. So happy to have them in the building!“
“The BEST cookies I’ve ever had. Amazing classics like oatmeal raisin, sugar cookie, chocolate chip and snickerdoodle shine alongside seasonal/rotational flavors like peppermint, Halloween candy concoction, and lemon. Also offers banana bread and blonde bars. Always greeted with lovely service! A neighborhood favorite.“
“My first time here and I always wanted to try it. I finally had the opportunity and it was great! It’s located in a tiny lot, surrounded by 7-11 and zen noodle (which is great too, if you want to try them). There was plenty of parking when we went. The restaurant was clean, they had a lot of seating and I thought it was pretty spacious inside for their size. The restaurant has bar stools, a few seats outside, and tables inside. There is a large menu above and 2 tablets to place your order. The employees were busy making food. We took a while to order because there were so many good options. We finally ordered two flavors of onigilly, to try: one miso nasu which is fried eggplant with miso sesame and green onion, and hijiki which is braised seaweed, carrot, tofu and edamame. I got a salad bowl with mixed greens, seaweed, red cabbage, shredded carrot, edamame, and onion. It includes three proteins: I chose unagi, krab salad and spicy miso beef. My sister ordered a poke bowl: ahi tuna, mixed greens, seaweed, krab salad, cucumber, corn, shredded carrot and red cabbage. We both chose the sesame dressing, however, we didn’t use it. There was so much flavor in our bowls already that it really didn’t need it. Everything was delicious and so flavorful. Definitely worth it and I can’t wait to come back and try other items.Vegetarian options: Poke, rice, tofu and salad bowls, eggplant, and so much more.Parking: Tiny lot shared with other businesses.Kid-friendliness: Brought my 2.5yo niece just for take out but it is family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs, or steps, so you can easily access the restaurant. There is also accessible parking.“
“Great Peet's. Both inside and outside seating.Friendly, helpful service. In Downtown San Mateo - kitty corner with B Street Books - great little book shop.Pick up a book at B Street and then relax with a coffee or tea at Peet's!Double door entrance - I don't know if there is a button available to push if you use mobility aid and need help with door.“
“Love this place! Its casual, not fancy, and the food is delicious. We had kebabs, lentil soup, falafel and rice pudding. The portions are large and the service is great, too. My mom uses a wheelchair, and they have tables that accommodate wheelchairs. Great place for lunch or dinner.“
“First off this is my favorite restaurant hands down ! There's just something about it from the food quality to food presentation If you like Pizza, Salads, & Wings this is the PLACE ! I've been here so many times our go to is always the buffalo wings & Cobb salad and of course the Shishito peppers! We will usually get their cheese board too! If you like coconut flavor drinks their pink panther cocktail is yummy ! Plus they have house made lemonade for N/A. And check out their list of mock tails for more N/A drinks.“
“Came here straight from the SFO airport around 9.15pm as almost all (Asian) restaurants were closed at 8 or 8.30pm.Food and service was great. We had garlic prawns, tom yum, fried chicken over fried rice, sticky rice mango and thai iced tea.We left with happy tummy.“
“Name of the restaurant might have changed to "Pupuseria El Salvador" as the old sign, which you can see in old photos, has been replaced. I didn't know what to order and I didn't see a menu so I went with typical Salvadoran food which is what everyone else was eating. I asked her to recommend a soup and a pupusa and she gave me what might be sopa de res and cheese and pork pupusa. Soup had a nice flavor to it, a bit oily, and pretty good beef (not overcooked! Yay!) The pupusa is excellent. Slightly burnt on the bottom to give it crunch, soft on top, and nice flavor. The pickled cabbage was good too. There was a large group ahead of me (does everyone eat at 3:30pm?) so the food took a while. She apologized for the wait and was nice about me not knowing what to order and my inability to speak Spanish.“
“Following a real estate photo shoot, my daughter and I treated ourselves to a delightful brunch at Pacific Catch. As we observe no meat on a Friday for Lent, we were thrilled to discover a variety of fresh options that exceeded our expectations. The sushi bowl and the poke & ceviche trio were standout dishes, boasting exceptional freshness and quality that truly delighted our taste buds. It was a joy to savor every bite and appreciate the genuine flavors of each ingredient. We were equally impressed by the excellent service and efficiency of the staff. Despite the bustling atmosphere, our orders were promptly served, allowing us to relax and soak up the sunshine as we dined al fresco before the rain for the next days.Overall, our experience at Pacific Catch was nothing short of fantastic. From the delicious food to the warm hospitality, it was the perfect way to unwind after a busy morning. We look forward to returning for another culinary adventure soon“
“In Pizza My Heart, a haven of delight, Where dough is spun with skill and tender care, Mozzarella melts upon each bite, As flavors blend in perfect, saucy fare. Pepperoni, a spicy, savory treat, Dances with tomato sauce in harmony, While peppers add a burst of colors sweet, And sausage lends its richness to the symphony. Mushrooms, earthy jewels upon the pie, Black olives, briny gems that shine so bright, Each ingredient, a taste of Italy, In every slice, a moment of delight. In Pizza My Heart, love's flavors unite, A culinary dream that ignites the night.“
“I've been to a different Blue Line Pizza somewhere else and this one was just as good. Thanks for the quick service and delicious pizza! Whatever you order you can't go wrong, it's all good. One complaint I have though is that there aren't any Blue Lines in Sacramento or near Sacramento. Could you please ask corporate if they could open another location somewhere nearby? We will drive even if it's an hour away, but your location is a little far for a regular visit.“
“I've never met a sandwich I didn't like at Ike's. So many options to choose from and they always have this belly nice and full. And you know the Caramel Apple Suckers are a nice ending lol. Customer Service is always amazing and friendly!“

“The food was OK, and the service was great! Getting a window table with an out-of-towner was the bomb! The ambiance and view more than make up for 4 star food. I love taking people here who have never seen the west coast.Dietary restrictions: They were easily able to provide me with gluten free options“
