“Daigo in Palo Alto continues to impress every time we visit. We decided to skip the omakase and went all in ordering off the menu, getting two of everything and even three of a few standout dishes. That turned out to be the move.

The abalone dish is easily one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. Perfectly prepared, rich, and layered with flavor. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the meal ends.

What really stands out is the consistency. Both visits delivered the same high level of freshness, execution, and attention to detail across every plate. Nothing felt rushed or overlooked.

The sake flight was another highlight, thoughtfully curated and pairing effortlessly with the variety of dishes we ordered. It elevated the entire experience and gave us a chance to explore different profiles alongside the food.

If you’re debating omakase versus ordering yourself, don’t hesitate to explore the menu. There’s so much to experience, and Daigo delivers across the board. This spot has officially earned a place in our regular rotation.

“I really like this place, but it is crazy overpriced. The old timey diner vibe is the draw, but a $23 hamburger that isn't anything special is too much. Great milkshakes, great pies. Everything else is decent but too expensive for what it is. Out the door for $50 a person total (tax and tip) for a burger and a milkshake.“

“Good legit Japanese restaurant. The chicken karaage was very tender and juicy. For some reason it was very spicy. The sukiyaki was ok. The beef was a little tough but tasted good. We also got a teriyaki salmon and assorted tempura. The salmon was a little over cooked. which I expected it to be better. All in all a great place for a good representation of Japanese cuisine.“

“My toddler and I came 30 mins before closing time and they still served us. They even served people who came later than us! They just asked us to pay at closing time but we can stay longer to finish our meal. Everything was yummy. I love going to a Korean restaurant and they serve me purple rice. My daughter ate a lot. Had the expresso chicken burrito with red sauce, pork expresso burrito with green sauce, and expresso chicken and steak burrito with red sauce all burritos topped with sour cream, guacamole, onions, and salsa. Had all el loco drink very refreshing and beers and their hot chicken wings served with ranch and Chile sauce along with carrot slices and celery very good. Restaurant very clean and service was great and quick.“

“My wife and I online-ordered some goodies from Deja Vu recently. The best Chocolate Babka ever with lots of chocolate, a hint of cinnamon and very moist. They must have used a high quality of cocoa. You can taste the passion and love the chef put into her cakes. This is a local hidden gem!“

“We’ve hosted two events at this P.F. Chang’s location, and it has become our go-to venue for large gatherings.

From the very beginning, Regional Manager Jay Jenkins was incredibly easy to work with. He was responsive, accommodating, and made the planning process seamless with his prompt communication.

We recently held a retirement party for 35+ guests, and the service was truly exceptional. Brenden and Anastasia were outstanding—they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, kept drinks refilled, and made sure everyone was well taken care of throughout the event. Their attentiveness and professionalism made a lasting impression on all of our guests.

The large group menu offered plenty of delicious options, and we appreciated that non-alcoholic beverages were included, making it a great value. We’re also grateful to the manager for allowing us extra time beyond our reservation and for letting us come in early to decorate and set up.

This location is honestly a hidden gem for hosting events. Part of me wanted to keep it our little secret, but the team deserves the recognition. Thank you to Jay, Brenden, Anastasia, and the entire staff for making our celebration so memorable. We’ll definitely be back for future events!“

“I ordered the California burrito (to go) and was blown away by how tasty it was. It was a generous portion of food, kept well on the drive home, and was everything I wanted. It came with a small bag of chips and some hot salsa that I also enjoyed. I will be back.“

I love that they have vegan and gluten-free options so inclusive. I even tried the banana cupcake, but once you taste that chocolate one, you just can’t go back.“
