The waiter was the worst service i've ever had, he didn't even put in my food order, he didn't even come to give us a check , we had to go back and forth and ask for dessert at the counter. And as we left , he didn't even say thank you.

But I want to say that we had the best busser ever! He filled our waters constantly, he noticed that I wasn't getting my food and checked on me, and he's packed my food up. He actually cared about our family and our food and our experience. So thank you to him, he saved our experience.“

“I found this bakery when I was looking for a place to purchase alfajores and I was so happy to have found it! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my first visit was nothing but a very nice experience. Two young men behind the counter seemed really friendly and helpful. The other customers in the store at the time seemed very happy. I came for alfajores today, but I will definitely go back for more alfajores and other goodies!“

“Late December 2025 visit:
Dropped by on a Sunday morning when we visited the Cal Ave Sunday Farmer's Market. A bit hard to locate as the shop front didn't scream 'bakery' at us and we walked by at least 3 times looking for the address.

The young man helping us was very friendly and helpful in explaining the flavors to us!

We picked up 2 focaccia breads in black takeout boxes and ate them after a hike the next afternoon. Tasty but oily. Didn't find any truffle flavor but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Fun memory made better by the staff and his opinions on the savory focaccia bread.
The shop had cake in jars and cookies available as well.

I love to snack on many of my favorite biscotti varieties such as the dark chocolate dipped hazelnut, chocolate chip no nuts, orange dark chocolate dipped & the OMG LEMON WHITE chocolate is refreshing! They also have a unique pastry shaped like a clamshell & is super crispy flaky crunchy on the outside but baked with a savory sweet orange zest ricotta cheese filling inside. “Go here!! Even if you have to walk a bit (I know I did!) I've gone twice now and have not regretted it. First of all, their drinks are made with oat milk by default which is incredible. The lavender oat milk tea I got was so incredibly creamy and the boba was the perfect texture. I was shocked thinking am I really having one of the best milk teas I've ever tasted at an airport right now?? It was that good! The food doesn't disappoint either. All of the bases are vegan (the pancit and garlic fried rice) and you can split them half/half for 50 cents which I would recommend. I missed this the first time I went but they do have sauces sitting out like hot sauce and soy sauce. The only "entree" option is the veggie stir fry. BUT you CAN order the Omni vegan spam as a side order even after breakfast as you can see in my pictures. I have no idea why it's not listed on the menu at the airport but it's definitely there. Just ask for it. A little pricey but so good!! They told me it would take 15 minutes but it actually only took about 2. For side orders you can choose between the veggie spring roll or a carioca which is a sweet fried mochi ball. Both options were great just depends on your mood. I saw they had a vegan muffin as well but didn't try it. I will definitely be back here if I fly through SF again!“

“I had had the pleasure of attending two retreats that Jillian catered. Breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days. Not only is her food delicious, but Jillian made sure that everyone got their needs met, always offered vegan and gluten free options and still managed to make it all so tasty! Jillian is so much more than a great chef. She is a beautiful, conscious human being with a heart of gold. No wonder her food is so nourishing and yummy!“

“Daigo in Palo Alto continues to impress every time we visit. We decided to skip the omakase and went all in ordering off the menu, getting two of everything and even three of a few standout dishes. That turned out to be the move.

The abalone dish is easily one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. Perfectly prepared, rich, and layered with flavor. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the meal ends.

What really stands out is the consistency. Both visits delivered the same high level of freshness, execution, and attention to detail across every plate. Nothing felt rushed or overlooked.

The sake flight was another highlight, thoughtfully curated and pairing effortlessly with the variety of dishes we ordered. It elevated the entire experience and gave us a chance to explore different profiles alongside the food.

If you’re debating omakase versus ordering yourself, don’t hesitate to explore the menu. There’s so much to experience, and Daigo delivers across the board. This spot has officially earned a place in our regular rotation.

“We got the brioche french toast and the corned beef hash!
The Caribbean french toast sounded really good but I can't eat bananas so I asked them to just add coconut to the brioche french toast. I'd highly highly recommend ordering the french toast that way cuz it was really delicious and flavorful!
The corned beef hash also tasted really good and hit the spot.

Honestly there were so many options in the menu that looked really yummy, so you could order anything and come out satisfied.

“Tried the downtown SJ location a long time ago and remembered liking it. Ordered takeout by phone and order was ready in 20 mins. We got the Jhol momo $14, tandoori chicken momo $16, chicken curry $14, lamb tikka masala $16.50, and garlic naan $5. Food is all high quality and pretty good overall. Asked for no added salt or butter and they were able to accommodate. Tandoori chicken momo was my favorite followed by the Jhol momo and lamb tikka masala. Lamb tikka had really good flavor, but the lamb wasn't very tender, although not tough or dry either. Chicken curry wasn't anything special. Garlic naan was decent. Generous portions for the price, it's nice that the curries include rice. Small restaurant with some tables inside and a lot more outside on the patio deck. I recommend it, but like Himali just a bit better (sister restaurant in Burlingame)“

They have some of the best hot pot broths and their meat/seafood/veggies are always such high quality. The service is always so friendly (shout out to Alvin!) and the sauce bar is well stocked. Even with all the hot pot places near us in San Francisco, we keep coming back to Happy Lamb in San Mateo. Thank you for all that you do!!“
