“Great food and service! We went with some friends and the owners gave us samples of their delicious dips with pita bread. The spitfire chicken salad bowl was delicious. We had kalamari steaks and falafel too. Very delicious. We will definitely be back. Reasonably priced good food.”

“We've been to this restaurant several times for dinner or to the bar to listen to live music on Saturday nights. The restaurant has an old school setting, which was nice.The restaurant in general is pricey.This was the first time that we went for lunch.Everything for lunch was delicious, and the service from Ignacio excellent.We started with a glass of Moet champagne, which was very good.For an appetizer, we had fried zucchini blossoms that also had crab inside. This was so good, we wanted to lick the plate. For lunch we had a Dungeness crab sandwich and fish & chips and both were on the daily lunch specials. For lunch they also offer a 3 course prixe fixe menu for$37, which I would have tried except that I wanted their bananas foster for dessert, which they make tableside and is sooo good.You can see live musical performers on Saturday nights in the bar for a fee.”

“Alpha Acid is a great place to enjoy a good beer. The menu is diverse enough to cover adventuresome palates (e.g. sours, barrel aged ales), folks who just want a solid, dependable ale, and people who want to try something more approachable to one who's not a hard-core beer drinker. Lots of seating where you can relax and perhaps play a board game. Usually, there's a food truck nearby if you're hungry.”

“If you're looking for a good takeout style Chinese restaurant, this place is the spot! The food is really good and the portions are really large! Unlike other sit down restaurants the food comes out in a timely manner and despite how busy it is, the waiters come around and serve everyone. The only downside, I would say, is the size of the restaurant. The place is small and so bringing a large party (larger than 6) is probably a no go. Although their takeout is also a really good option!”

“Vegetarian / vegan wrap perfect for Good Friday. The Turkish double espresso was delicious and not gross like the bitter American roasters. I got fries, but did not realize lentil soup is on the menu. Next time. Operated by family, doesn’t get better than that.Dietary restrictions: Halal”

“My family and I came by 3 weeks ago and they were great. Awesome atmosphere the service was great. The owner was helping out. They make great use of the space. The food was terrific. We ordered two godfather burgers, an impossible burger and sliders. Everything was to order. Having an impossible option was awesome. We can't wait to come back. I think I will ask for my bun toasted but other than that I have no complaints.”

“This cafe is like going to your favorite aunt or grandmas house who is really good at cooking and baking. There is a menu but it seems more like they make what they want and sell what they have - feels very quaint and homemade Tonkatsu sandwich - big pork cutlet with a squishy bun and a generous portion of finely shredded cabbage. Yummy and crispy, pork was a touch dry. Matcha cornet was delicious, great flavor w the cream and nice soft cornet Melon pan - did not get much melon fragrance and felt a bit dry/stale, but great crisp sugar top. There's some chocolate inside the bread which I did not expect.”

“I've been going to Vivace for over 20 years, and it's a great restaurant. The food is excellent, and the staff is outstanding. They always make sure that your meal is perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.”

“A hidden gem and great sandwich spot overall. I called ahead to place an order for my sandwich and it was ready in about 15 minutes. I heard the wait can be up to 30 minutes so try to plan accordingly if it's lunch hour! I got the Turkey sandwich with everything on it which comes with a great garlic spread and fresh vegetables and bread. Staff is always very friendly whenever I come here, and the ingredients are always fresh. Keep in mind the limited hours during the day. Definitely recommend!”

“I don’t usually like falafel but I love the falafel from here- it doesn’t taste greasy at all & the toppings they use are very flavorful & fresh! I’m not a vegetarian but the serving sizes here are quite filling & the flavor combo of their toppings with the falafel is very satisfying! I don’t think I’d ever had falafel dishes quite like how they do here, in a really good way! There isn’t seating so this is more like a take-out spot. Perfect for if you’re looking to grab something to go. Service is always really friendly & super quick! One of our favorite spots to pick up lunch or a light dinner! I love their pita pocket, baklava, hummus, and mango milk!”

“Amazing cutting skills were demonstrated and exhibited here tonight. Ordered deep fried squid. What we got was the extra fat deep fried batter. The squid was cut as thin as (actually thinner than) bamboo chopsticks, just like angel hair spaghetti. Enjoyed batter. Really good batter. Excellent batter. $14 batter. The string squid was used just to hold deep fried batter together. Nobody ever thought of this unique cooking technique. New invention in the Chinese culinary world. I highly recommend this restaurant BOTH to the culinary cutting skill lovers AND to the deep fried batter lovers. What a hidden gem in the Bay Area. I'm speechless. I will definitely come back again.”
