“Another reviewer said that they had the best carne asada tacos they had ever had. I didn't have the same experience and found their carne asada to be too dry for my taste. HOWEVER, their carnitas tacos and pescado tacos are incredible!! Their carnitas are probably my favorite out of the literally hundreds of taquerias I've even at. Their carnitas are crunchy on the outside but moist in the middle and they're very consistent! I eat at Jika's about once a week and have the same happy belly experience every time.Their pupusas are also very good and part of my regular rotation.Tip: Their burritos come with grilled onions and bell peppers. Kinda cool if you're in the mood for a fajita burrito but I usually ask them to hold the bell peppers for a more standard burrito.“
“Hongry Kong catered for a mid autumn moon festival yesterday and really brought their A-game. Don't let the food truck fool you. They deliver top-notch dim sum (Ha gau, Siu Mai, egg tarts, veggie egg rolls) at a reasonable price , and the General Tso's chicken rice bowl is pretty dang good. Egg tarts run out fast at $2 each. Service is friendly and convenient. There's everything for the whole family. Great drink selection as well. Don't forget to try the HK style milk tea!“
“Ordered the Spicy Dan Dan Noodles, and it came with plenty of pork, cucumbers, and sauce. The noodles were also cooked well. And since it was the Spicy Food Fest, it came with Spicy Sichuan Sesame Sauce. It was indeed a little bit spicy, but otherwise, it was standard. They delivered the food fast for a food truck, and it was a food truck, so ambiance will be variable.“
“I live on the east bay but work in the peninsula. Was craving birra tacos and found them on yelp. My husband has food allergies but was willing to try the chicken soft tacos. I brought everything home across the 92. He didn't have an allergic reaction! He loved them so much, he asked me to buy them again afterwards work the next day! The birra tacos were delicious as well! The consume (dipping) is really good! Everything was wrapped nicely and still warm by the time I got home. The second day I tried a chicken burrito and that was delicious as well! I highly recommend!“
“Very interesting place, I would say very Mexican, but don’t quote me on that, because never been in Mexico. We got chips and salsa for free as a starter. We asked also for water. We ordered this new dish with instant noodles, which can come in different spice levels, but it was a bit too salty and sour for our taste. It came with 2 side quesadillas. For the steak, it was quite good, we got a fresh corn bread. And you can ask for souses, there are 4 different ones and the green was really good, very lime like:) we also got Shrimp tortillas, they were delicious!Wheelchair accessibility: You can use wheelchair inside“
“Random food truck I found on the side of the street lol, but it had good reviews so I had to try it. They are generous in their serving size and everything tasted pretty good too be honest. It's not as spiced as a lot of other restaurants, but that's also ok. I think it may have more turmeric than other places though. It's a one man army and the food is good, so 7/10.“
“A nice spot for some drinks, music & rotating food carts. It gets busy so plan accordingly. There is a reasonable amount of parking but again… fills up. Numerous drink options — some tasty sours, hazy & IPAs. The food cart items can be hit or miss.“
“Absolutely loved the food. Wanted to have a snack but ended up having a full meal by repeatedly ordering tacos. Great veggie taco, haven’t had such a good taco anywhere else in California. The only thing I’m sad about is not being able to find this food truck last 2 3 times I’ve tried looking for it.Vegetarian options: The veggie taco is absolutely amazing.“
“I'm a loyal customer of the Zumix juice truck on El Camino and by random chance I decided to walk over to Jovanni's taco truck (parked right next to each other). I started off light with the first visit and ordered a plain carne asada taco with no salsa or fixings. I personally always want to see if an establishment has good meat and a tortilla for a foundation. My next visit I ventured to the Carne Asada Super Taco and I fell in love. The flavors from the salsa and meat are perfectly balanced, the perfectly grilled tortilla has a bit of a nice char to it and lastly the cheese melt on the tortilla isn't overwhelming. I also enjoy the fresh cucumbers they serve with it and the grilled onions on the side. I come here 1-2 times a week now it's just absolutely worth your time to stop and grab a bite.“
“A hidden gem for amazing, unique Filipino sandwiches for $10. Zero-wait made to order burgers that are worth the trip. Pork Longganisa - super juicy, aromatic and tender. Probably the best pork patty I've ever had. Unlike the bistek, the flavors here are classic and familiar. It's a solid sandwhich that I would universally recommend. Bistek Burger - I would consider this the specialty item of this food truck. The beef burger is incredibly juicy, and best enjoyed while it's piping hot. The special sauce is the star of the show, with a slight tartness for balance and incredible depth of flavor with a calamansi-forward accents. The burger is bold, assertive, and super unique. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new. At $10 a burger, the food is priced really aggressively. Whether it is to attract early customers, or make a competitive dent in the inflation-driven price hikes of other vendors, this small, local business is offering a great deal! I would take advantage while they are still low-key. It's only a matter of time before it really takes off.“
