My favorite is the Kabuli Pulao — incredibly delicious, aromatic, and full of flavor. If you don’t like lamb, I highly recommend trying the Kabob Combination with Rice it’s a great option and absolutely delicious!
The service is also excellent. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Another big plus is the free parking, which makes it very convenient.

“The Bay Area has some of the fiercest competitive markets for Americanized Mexican food in the world. Of the many fine burrito-centric establishments I have tried here, Alva's is one of the best.

Food is great, I have to wait a while but at the end is worth, everything is made while you ordered, so I have to wait a little bit more. “We’ve been here a few times and each time, our food is delicious. On this June 6, 2026 day, I had the 1 meat bowl which included the smoked chicken and the baked beans.I devoured every bit. Both were so delicious. My husband inhaled his brisket sandwich and my son surprisingly finished his chicken tacos. We even got a greeting from the owner. 😊 We ate outside this time, but the ambiance is good whether we sit in or out. I highly recommend that you try this place if you haven’t already.“

“This is a takeout spot located in a business park, so it can be hard to find. However, their dim sum is pretty good and it's definitely a good value for how much you get. Our favorites are the pork buns and siu mai. The hao gar are pretty good, too. The bean curd is a little hit or miss, but they're packed full of filling. Pickup process is interesting as you ring a doorbell and someone will come bring out your order. They can be flexible with pickup times, though it depends on how many orders they have to fill. Parking can be a pain, but on weekdays it's not much trouble finding a spot along the street.“
