“Second time stopping by, and I am very impressed, the attitude and service is great and food is delicious. Was skeptical at first but glad I stopped by. Chicken burrito one day and Steak and Shrimp with vegetables and hibachi sauce on point. I do recommend stopping by, but be careful, parking is not very good or plentiful.“

“This is the food truck spot for tacos in San Francisco’s Mission District. The tacos are loaded and the sauces are nice and spicy. I love all the veggie’s they add on the side as well. Easy to pick up to-go or chill at the tables they have outside. I got 4 tacos for $17. Well worth the price and always happy to support small local businesses like this. This was a great way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.“

“Crazy good. I'm not supposed to eat dairy but I can't resist Garden Creamery. Their new flavor, Funky Caramel Miso, is out of this world - I'm tempted to gatekeep but I also want everyone to know about it so the flavor becomes popular and stays, I'd even be happy for it to replace my former favorite Salty Kaya Pandan. The miso funk is so deeply satisfyingly umami + salty + sweet caramel makes it perfect IMO.

Other favorites include vanilla lilikoi (best vanilla ever) and biscoff. But you can't go wrong. Such a stellar ice cream spot, worth traveling across the city for and worth the wait.“

Tortillas are lame cheap white GMO tortillas. Boring with extra canola oil to give them flavor.

Asada is good
Lengua is boring
Pastor is boring and I found the reviews over rated.

You have to ask for lime, onion, cilantro, radish and salsa. It is not served on your plate.

Best thing around here? Maybe. Best thing in SF? No way!“

“Got the adobo rice bowl which was really good! Tons of meat, lots of flavor, and fresh pickled vegetables. Next time I’ll get the Lechon Carbonara.

The surrounding area itself isn’t too pretty, so I’d say it’s best as a lunch spot for pickup.“

“Even though we didn’t end up renting from City View Commissary, we felt compelled to leave a review because the experience and customer service were truly exceptional.

The venue itself is beautiful, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully maintained. & a kitchen space could be included in the rental. It’s the kind of space you can easily imagine transformed for a special event. But what really stood out was CJ’s kindness and humanity.

We had just lost our wedding venue only weeks before our wedding. An incredibly stressful and emotional situation and CJ was beyond understanding and compassionate. He was willing to work with us, took the time to listen to our needs, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Even more impressively, he went above and beyond by connecting us with another venue that ended up being a better fit for our wedding, even while we were actively touring his space.

That level of integrity, empathy, and genuine care is rare. City View Commissary is not only a lovely venue, but it’s run by people who truly care about others and that matters. “We ordered fried chicken, mac and cheese, greens, and yams for our work Black History Month event, and everything was absolutely delicious! The food arrived hot, fresh, and perfectly prepared.

It added such a special touch to our celebration and gave attendees a wonderful taste of soul food that truly complemented the spirit of the event. Guests were going back for seconds and thirds — which says it all! 😊

I’ve never reviewed a restaurant after an Uber Eats order before, but this was so surprisingly delightful I had to this time. Great portions and flavors. I order 3 items, but two tacos would have been better plenty. First time in SF I’ve ordered tacos and not felt underwhelmed and/or ripped off.“

I always look forward to this food truck being in the area - definitely gets busy around lunch time but it goes by fast, and absolutely worth the quick wait. “While visiting San Francisco’s Presidio National Park and the nearby Walt Disney Family Museum on August 11 2023, we came upon several food trucks parked up, one of which was El Fuego Authentic Mexican. It had the longest line of them all so we figured the food must be good. The delicious smell also was a big draw! We joined the long line and waited patiently for 15 minutes to be served. As we neared the truck, a lady crossed out the fish tacos on the menu - they must have been popular. We had to quickly rethink what we’d like to order. We went for the following (to share): 🌮 Combo de Lux 🥤 Mexican Coca-Cola (500ml in glass bottles) x 2 The Combo de Lux consisted of: Soft taco x 1 Mulita (sandwich taco) x 1 Quesabirria x 1 Consommé (broth) Pots of mild and spicy salsa We were given a pager so we would know when to return to the hatch. It was an exciting 10 minute wait while the tasty delights were freshly prepared inside the food truck. We took our food over to some large plastic rocking chairs on the Main Parade Lawn (opposite the Walt Disney Family Museum) and tucked in without delay. The food was incredible: full of birria-style beef, cheesy, spicy, tasty, juicy. We had to take great care when eating it, as it was a breezy day and we didn’t want to make a mess. The consommé was new to us. We didn’t dip the quesabirria into the broth - we drank it! The flavors were very rich, with a little spicy kick. El Fuego really was a good choice and just what we needed for lunch having walked many miles around San Francisco. These were our first authentic tacos in California and the benchmark has now been set very high!“

“The BAR on Dolores is my go-to place to watch NFL football. They have all the games and are happy to put on whichever game you request. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the drinks are great, and there’s usually free food on Sundays. They are also dog-friendly. Touchdown!!“

The tacos are so tasty (may need a little more meat) and made to perfection. The gordita is a force to be reckoned with, bursting with flavor and so worth its weight in gold. All around great food truck... can of diet coke $4 was the only meh moment for me.“

“Been buying beans from those guys for 10 years. Quite disappointed on my last visit, their take on cappuccino is 10oz, so you have a faint coffee flavor, and it’s a latte by rest of the world standard! Just came back from Japan and it would not be possible to order a late this size. They have a latte and petite latte on the menu, but that would essentially be the same drink. For a coffee roaster with the finest beans this makes no sense. Buffy, if you were to create a 6oz petite cappucino, the vast majority of locals would go for that, you would save on milk, preparation time, and you can still charge $7.5 for that petite latte, we just want to taste the coffee beans! “I would probably give Rasa Rasa 3.5 stars if that was an option. I’ve been there several times and they have a few good vegan options. The staff is very friendly, which is a nice extra. I liked the variety of ingredients in the gado gado, but it was a bit bland. The gado-rito was quite tasty and I would definitely order it again. However, it was disappointing that both dishes had very small amounts of tofu. Overall decent food and pleasant staff, but they need to bump up the protein in their vegan options.
