“I was so happy to find this truck in the empty lot next to Tselogs. I love Benihana so when I saw the Hibachi truck with all their offerings I was so happy. My favorite is the filet mignon plate! They ask you how you like the meat cooked. You get mushrooms and vegetables with the plate and delicious ice cooked in the fat and butter of the meat and veggies! So tasty and flavorful! They give you hibachi sauce which is a spicy thousand islands, not my favorite wish they had the sauce of Benihana. They also give a buttery sauce, maybe they should add garlic and herbs to the butter to make it tastier since it tastes like plain butter to me. Also got the filet mignon and scallop plate, the scallops cooked a little too much so left it dry. Hopefully they have better dipping sauces but for about $35 it's a very hearty and filling meal. You get good quality ingredients! Will continue supporting them!“

“As a vegetarian attendee of the UCB afghan banquet I wasn't going in expecting much from the food, but oh my gosh was I blown away. The eggplant melted in my mouth and was so very flavorful, and paired with the rice?? I've never had a better meal, please please please go try their food!“

“good selection of flavors! its a lil crazy for two scoops of ice cream to cost 7 dollars tho 😅 tried four flavors: thai tea, salty kaya, biscoff, and black sesame. the thai tea is incredibly good, so creamy, and its vegan! the salty kaya's unique, almost reminiscent of a salted cream foam with a subtle hint of pandan/coconut. def recommend those two flavors!“

“We ordered fried chicken, mac and cheese, greens, and yams for our work Black History Month event, and everything was absolutely delicious! The food arrived hot, fresh, and perfectly prepared.

It added such a special touch to our celebration and gave attendees a wonderful taste of soul food that truly complemented the spirit of the event. Guests were going back for seconds and thirds — which says it all! 😊

“Even though we didn’t end up renting from City View Commissary, we felt compelled to leave a review because the experience and customer service were truly exceptional.

The venue itself is beautiful, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully maintained. & a kitchen space could be included in the rental. It’s the kind of space you can easily imagine transformed for a special event. But what really stood out was CJ’s kindness and humanity.

We had just lost our wedding venue only weeks before our wedding. An incredibly stressful and emotional situation and CJ was beyond understanding and compassionate. He was willing to work with us, took the time to listen to our needs, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Even more impressively, he went above and beyond by connecting us with another venue that ended up being a better fit for our wedding, even while we were actively touring his space.

That level of integrity, empathy, and genuine care is rare. City View Commissary is not only a lovely venue, but it’s run by people who truly care about others and that matters. We’re incredibly grateful to CJ and highly recommend City View Commissary to anyone looking for a space and an outstanding team behind it.“

“The smash burger was great and similar to what you would expect. However, the beef patty could use some additional salt. Also, when I asked for the special sauce, it was served with mayonnaise. I think the flavor would be more enhanced with the special sauce.“

“Got the super tacos and the Ramen. The beef taco was just insane. The flavor of the beef was unmatched. The soup was just as incredible. I dumped my remaining sauce from the super tacos into it and it just melted in my mouth with that fall apart beef. BEST damn Ramen I've ever had.“

Delicious Adobro really tender slow cooked pork that falls apart lightly covered in a special sweet sour sauce over rice with a fresh pickled veggy salad GF and vegan options not just after thoughts but real options. “I would probably give Rasa Rasa 3.5 stars if that was an option. I’ve been there several times and they have a few good vegan options. The staff is very friendly, which is a nice extra. I liked the variety of ingredients in the gado gado, but it was a bit bland. The gado-rito was quite tasty and I would definitely order it again. However, it was disappointing that both dishes had very small amounts of tofu. Overall decent food and pleasant staff, but they need to bump up the protein in their vegan options. “These are the most authentic tacos al pastor in the Bay Area! They have a proper spit roasted pork (trompo) with pineapple, just like the ones you’ll find throughout Mexico. The adobo marinated pork is sliced perfectly thin with a slice of pineapple. All of the salsas are legit, and don’t sleep on their California burrito if you’re looking for something more substantial. The handmade tortilla has amazing texture, and all ingredients are incredibly fresh. This is hands down one of the best taco trucks in the Bay Area.“

“HOLY COW!! This taco truck is fantastic. Ate here 5 times and everytime hit harder than the last. The ladies running it are super nice and helpful. The tacos are so tasty (may need a little more meat) and made to perfection. The gordita is a force to be reckoned with, bursting with flavor and so worth its weight in gold. All around great food truck... can of diet coke $4 was the only meh moment for me.“

“Best Mexican food I’ve had in SF, and very friendly staff.“

“While visiting San Francisco’s Presidio National Park and the nearby Walt Disney Family Museum on August 11 2023, we came upon several food trucks parked up, one of which was El Fuego Authentic Mexican. It had the longest line of them all so we figured the food must be good. The delicious smell also was a big draw! We joined the long line and waited patiently for 15 minutes to be served. As we neared the truck, a lady crossed out the fish tacos on the menu - they must have been popular. We had to quickly rethink what we’d like to order. We went for the following (to share): 🌮 Combo de Lux 🥤 Mexican Coca-Cola (500ml in glass bottles) x 2 The Combo de Lux consisted of: Soft taco x 1 Mulita (sandwich taco) x 1 Quesabirria x 1 Consommé (broth) Pots of mild and spicy salsa We were given a pager so we would know when to return to the hatch. It was an exciting 10 minute wait while the tasty delights were freshly prepared inside the food truck. We took our food over to some large plastic rocking chairs on the Main Parade Lawn (opposite the Walt Disney Family Museum) and tucked in without delay. The food was incredible: full of birria-style beef, cheesy, spicy, tasty, juicy. We had to take great care when eating it, as it was a breezy day and we didn’t want to make a mess. The consommé was new to us. We didn’t dip the quesabirria into the broth - we drank it! The flavors were very rich, with a little spicy kick. El Fuego really was a good choice and just what we needed for lunch having walked many miles around San Francisco. These were our first authentic tacos in California and the benchmark has now been set very high!“

“Been buying beans from those guys for 10 years. Quite disappointed on my last visit, their take on cappuccino is 10oz, so you have a faint coffee flavor, and it’s a latte by rest of the world standard! Just came back from Japan and it would not be possible to order a late this size. They have a latte and petite latte on the menu, but that would essentially be the same drink. For a coffee roaster with the finest beans this makes no sense. Buffy, if you were to create a 6oz petite cappucino, the vast majority of locals would go for that, you would save on milk, preparation time, and you can still charge $7.5 for that petite latte, we just want to taste the coffee beans! “The BAR on Dolores is my go-to place to watch NFL football. They have all the games and are happy to put on whichever game you request. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the drinks are great, and there’s usually free food on Sundays. They are also dog-friendly. Touchdown!!“
