The food was tasty and seasoned, which I find rare when restaurants try to cook southern dishes here in the Bay Area. I had the fried catfish, while my friend had a combo plate. “What an incredible treat to experience--AND it's situated conveniently in a residential area for accessibility!

The churros are delicious in their own or with a variety of fillings. My favorite is the caramelo (caramel) filling that's made with goat milk. (It's like dulce de leche but warrrrrm.)

The people who run it are also the owners, which means they're invested in creating a friendly, community atmosphere and gladly cater to special requests.

Be prepared to pay either cash, use Zelle or get cash back from the nearby Mexican grocer. There's no option for card payments!“

“This place looks a little 'sketchy', BUT the food is very good. I was working an event at the Oakland Colesium, and this was the only place you could walk to. If you can speak a little Spanish, it goes a long way. I got the Cubana sandwich, and it was so big, I could only eat half of it.“

Only a little seating and I like to eat stuff fresh, but since most get to go, prob a spot usually available. 3 tacos for $9 out the door (cash) hit the spot for lunch. “Felt like I was back in the motherland (Mexico). The dark, sketchy street just adds to the atmosphere. This place takes zelle if you don't have cash. The tacos are 3 bucks a pop, and they fill them fat. Best dang taco I've had in a while.“

“I went there mid afternoon on a Thursday. I was the only one in the dining room but I was received with smiles and great service. I ordered suya beef, a side of jollof rice and a moi moi, all of which are familiar to me.

The suya was delicious and spicy, just the right combination of dry and tender. The jollof was very flavourful, truly excellent. It didn’t have the scorched flavour that some people might prefer in a party jollof but for me this was great.

The moi moi was a bit dry and it has both an egg and some fish in it. Not my favourite but you can’t win them all.

Over all I felt this was very good and will happily return. I enjoyed the Afro beats music and the friendly staff.“

“You can easily miss this truck tucked away on the corner of a parking lot. They are busy non stop on a Saturday night. They are quick to get you your food though.

The Al Pastor had great flavor with a slight sweetness of pineapple. Pairs well with their salsa, which is neither red or green, but it was delicious. The Asada was good too, with good taste and texture. The Lengua was very tender and went well with the salsa too.

I will def be back to try the other Cortes and horchata. My only suggestions is they should use order numbers or get a name to the order. They read out whole order for pickup and it gets confusing. Would save them and customers time.“

An afternoon operational run to evaluate one of Oakland’s highest-volume street culinary hubs. Service was incredibly fast, and the covered outdoor seating plaza made it easy to sit down and analyze the payload immediately.

Everything we ordered was excellent:

The Torta: My partner had the carne asada torta and loved it. It was packed with a generous amount of steak that was flavorful but not too spicy. The bread was perfectly soft but held together much better than he expected without getting soggy or falling apart.

The Tacos: I tried three different tacos—carne asada, fish, and al pastor—and all of them were fantastic. They were well-built and easy to eat because they didn't skimp on the tortillas. The kitchen put the perfect amount of salsa on top of each one so it didn't overwhelm the flavor of the meat.

The Standout: The al pastor was hands-down my favorite. It had that perfect balance of deep seasoning and those crispy, caramelized edges you look for in great pork.

The Drink: The strawberry horchata was delicious and super refreshing in the sun. It was creamy, sweet, and the perfect counter to the savory meats.

The Verdict: Tacos Sinaloa completely defends its reputation. Fast, delicious, and pristine street-level execution.“

I parked inside and although I was coming for Mama Cuca, the charm of the staff selling carnitas really called me!Totally Mexico style they offered a free sample and of course I ended up buying a pound of carnitas to take home ?The carnitas are cooked to perfection, tender, tasty, accompanied by fresh tortillas hand made to order. “We encountered this Indian fusion food truck at Almanac Brewery in Alameda. We were immediately excited by the extremely creative menu with so many options. There are many vegetarian options as well as meat. We ordered the paneer tacos and got the tikka masala sauce on the side and it was so fresh and flavorful! The quantity (3 tacos) was very worth the cost. We are looking forward to going back and trying all the unique dishes on their menu. The service was also great, the person taking our order was helpful and efficient. Definitely check them out!“
