“If you're looking for a unique taco place, yet can't eat meat due to dietary restrictions, ima put y'all on Tacos Oscar -- one of the BEST taco spots in the heart of Oakland. This taco place is to NOT be slept on!
As I approached this place, the one thing I really liked was how hipster and how modern they made their dining experience. They're really with the political times, but besides that, they take making tacos on a WHOLE another level.
Their tacos are a little bit on the expensive side -- but because they're artisan made, that's what MAKES it unique. I tried their vegan broccoli taco, drowsed with their thick peanut and soy sauce. The tortilla was made out of 100% corn and nothing more than that. In addition, their agua fresca is on point.“

“10/10 highly recommend! Fresh, tasty, quality ingredients prepared and plated to perfection! Portion sizes are worth the price. Affordable, tasty eats with excellent customer service in a lovely outdoor setting. My son and I had the fish tacos and shared a steak & shrimp birria taco. OMG! INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS AND FLAVORFUL, down to the sliced carrots! I was visiting from the East Coast where they know NOTHING about authentic Mexican food! I could eat at La Grana Fish EVERY DAY!“

“This place looks a little 'sketchy', BUT the food is very good. I was working an event at the Oakland Colesium, and this was the only place you could walk to. If you can speak a little Spanish, it goes a long way. I got the Cubana sandwich, and it was so big, I could only eat half of it.“

“Great quality, always get it the way you ask for it, reasonable prices.... I stayed on a late night truck run when my wife was pregnant. You could throw a rock and hit 5 taco trucks in the same area and none are as good. There's this one guy who always asks about my kids always is friendly but he's the same way with everyone, no favorites. Quality spot in the cut...“

“Felt like I was back in the motherland (Mexico). The dark, sketchy street just adds to the atmosphere. This place takes zelle if you don't have cash. The tacos are 3 bucks a pop, and they fill them fat. Best dang taco I've had in a while.“

“I hope I find this in heaven. Hands-down, one of the best Carnitas I’ve had. Run out of a taco truck in a very unassuming location. Juicy, tender and they give generous portions. I got that fairly late at 2PM and everything was sold out except for the carne. The person I spoke to said to come early usually before noon if you want to have a taste of everything else. There are two tents set up with tables and chairs.“

“Thrifty prices for this food truck if you’re hungry and near Hegenberger. It’s a good find particularly since they offer a $8 veggie burrito ? tax is included so that’s a bonus. I had the chicken one and it’s ok.-the red sauce was better that average and fresh radishes, pickled carrot slices and quality jalapeños.The churros were fresh, temperature hot, 10”, and outstanding— nice servers plenty of parking ?️ I will revisit ? grateful they are there ☀️“

“Buen dia. This roadside taco stand is 🔥🔥🔥. Fresh tortillas, al pastor on the spit, suadero, tripas, a little table to sit at; it's a really nice family-run-joint, and cheap. I know I sound n smell like a gringo... but this place is the real deal. Sincerely, Mr. Poco Tonto“

“? Alright folks, here’s the deal: Living in Alameda has me often yearning for some legit taco action. But I’ve found that I usually need to head over to Oakland to truly satisfy those cravings. And that’s exactly how I ended up at this taco truck!Nestled in Oakland, this spot was a serendipitous find on an evening adventure. The setting is chill, making it the perfect backdrop for some true street taco vibes. And speaking of streets, there’s a handy parking lot right at the corner, so you can just park and wander over with ease.I dove into two pastor and two carne asada tacos, and even though they’re on the petite side, they don’t skimp on flavor. My plate was brimming with extras - a generous helping of radishes and jalapeños which added that fresh zing to every bite. And oh, those salsas! Perfectly spiced and absolutely delightful. Now, are these the all-time champions of my taco experiences? Maybe not. But when the taco craving hits in Alameda, this Oakland gem is definitely worth the short trek. Can’t wait to see what the rest of their menu holds on my next visit!“
“I was skeptical because they are in front of a house but an all honesty their tacos ???? are delicious and I also tried there tortas and they are on point as well,I have another taco down the street Taqueria Sinaloa but they got sloppy with their food.I rather go to Tacos la Cabana and they also sale menudo and birria on Saturday mornings.TRY THEM you will not be disappointed and I am a picky eater so I was surprised I liked them.“
“Food like a homemade traditional kitchen the asada is amazing and fresh. Delicious food wonderful people. The website needs to update prices on the menu, the burrito grande is $12.59 now, but so worth it. Comes with avocado slices beans rice meat onions cilantro etc“

“I recently moved to the neighborhood and called a pick up order for a burrito. They were so kind to call me back because I forgot to mention the type of beans I wanted. When I went in, they were extremely nice and my burrito was massive. Chips and salsa were great. Large drink selection. Everything they do is in house. Can’t wait to go back!“

“The tacos and everything are very good, they just have to improve the issue of the lemons, where they buy them, because they don't have anything sumo, and you only ask and order lemon because they don't add any sumo, but otherwise the food and the tacos I love them“

“Best Mexican food in the Bay Area hands down. Terrible area, but the food is so good. Pro tip, EVERYWHERE you go tacos are $3.25+, so don’t get them. Get a quesadilla or burrito instead. Tacos are universally overpriced and too small, especially when you’re like me and eat 6 in one sitting.“

“Has it all: fair prices, good quality and impressive selection for a truck. Only a little seating and I like to eat stuff fresh, but since most get to go, prob a spot usually available. 3 tacos for $9 out the door (cash) hit the spot for lunch. Offered up chips and nice carrots, jalapenos, radish, and cucumber provided.“

“It's not bad. Tacos de tripas. The tripas are almost on point but just really depends on the person I like them a little bit crunchy.
The only downside really was the portion size and the tortilla was a bit raw it didn't fully heat up. The other downside is the sauces.
The green sauce is not hot nor does it have flavor or salt it's just smushed sauce.
And the red one almost looks like ketchup texture with no flavor either. I could taste more the grease from the taco then the sauces.
Overall I'll say it's a 4 star the first time I showed up I wasn't a fan of it but this was years ago.
Add oil to the tortillas or tortillas all vapor also hits the spot.“
“Everything is very well Seasoned, my family loves coming to this taco truck, the steak fries, the Torta Ronco, the birria tacos, the hamburger and the asada taquitos and the 10” pastor, my family is always satisfied, the flavored waters They are also very good!!“

“I’m vegan and got fed very well here. The crispy potato tacos w a side of cabbage salad was so delicious and filling. Their house made hot salsa is out of this world with flavor. I’m rarely in this area but will come back for these tacos. Can’t wait to try their rice and beans.“

“I'm from Hartford, Connecticut, I used to live in Oakland for a spell. I would go to all the taco trucks around my area and this one was the best by far. This one always was packed because it had the best tacos and horchata. I would get chicken tacos or shrimp tacos or fish tacos. They are all amazing and authentic. You know the best place to eat is where the locals go and you'll notice all the Mexicans go here. Plus everybody else. International boulevard is is packed with ladies of the night. Basically naked so be prepared for that LOL“

“If you are looking for some good tacos/Mexican food, this is a great place to come. They are located behind the am/pm gas station. Thier tacos are now $2, which kinda sucks since they used to be $1.25. They recently moved to that location and have been moving around for the past few years.“

“Love this place, I go about once a week. All the meats are really good and seasoned especially when paired with the spicy mayo or even extra teriyaki sauce which isn’t needed in just a big back. The stars of the show is the short rib triangle, and the buldock and unagi are ok too.“
