“Came here on a whim after some golf with a friend. One of the best gyros I have had in years! Really kind and attentive staff as well. I would not hesitate to go back if I am in the area again.
Seating is a little sparse and the layout is a little cramped, but absolutely delicious food and really friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for some great lunch.“

My mom can fry great tasting fish and after I ate the first fillet of my catfish, I called my mom to tell her that Joshuas’ fish tasted like hers.

The fried were slightly crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside.

I usually don’t appreciate the taste of tartar sauce, I usually throw it away after the first taste, but the tartar sauce was delicious and when I finished my last piece of fish my tartar sauce container was emptied.

I appreciate the pleasant woman at the front window. Each time I drove down from Modesto and I stop at Joshuas’ to get that home-style fried fish to take home - if it makes it home, she has always given a warm smile. She has asked me each time how I want my fish and fries cooked. I like my fish cooked harder than normal. It has never been overcooked or dry. I like my fries cooked slightly crunchy but soft inside.

I have been very satisfied with the service and the food. The taste, the presentation. 8 out of 5 stars.

The building is not for dining inside nor outside. Get your food and go enjoy it at home but not there.

I noticed that people call in their orders so I’m not sure if they have an app, maybe orders are called in.

Cost depends on what you order. Sizes are good.

“East Oakland hood staple for dry fried ribs, chow mein, sweet & sour, and everything Chinese food. It's an old school hole in the wall. Mom and Pops owned joint. Food is always good, affordable, and on point.
They have Combo meals for a nice and fair price.“

“It's a pretty basic place. It's not super clean. Looks like it's been here a long time. Many, many people came and went as I sat and ate. My food price is good and the food is fair. The portions are large. I don't have any complaints. That's a real bargain for the price.“

“I had the Chicken Mix Bowl with the smokey chipotle sauce and it was AMAZING. I am allergic to dairy, gluten, and soy so being able to not worry about that with my meal was so nice. I also have ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) and have a really hard with certain textures, usually chicken is really hard for me to eat but I had no issues with this chicken!! The texture was consistent all the way through, pulled apart really easily, and was just overall amazing. The portions are really good and the food is very flavorful. I'm really happy with my meal. “These are the best Pupusas for miles. They are crispy, wholesome and packed with stuffing. I have to get their Salvadorian Tamale as well. It is different from the Mexican variety as in the masa is really smooth, not grainy. Also these are cooked in a banana leaf. It's worth the trip, even though parking in the lot outside can be a bit problematic.“

I was just driving by when I noticed this restaurant, so I decided to stop and order their fish sandwich with a meal. They give you a bag full of fries, and everything was delicious. The sandwich was great, the fish was tasty, and the sauce was perfect—no complaints whatsoever.

I'm planning to go back very soon to try everything on the menu. I still need to sample their milkshakes and ice cream, but I didn't have a chance on this visit. Overall, the food I had was stunning.
