“I just came to this restaurant for lunch and everything was amazing! The food was so delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. What made the experience even better was the customer service. As soon as I walked in, they welcomed me so warmly and made me feel comfortable right away. They were very kind and kept asking if I needed anything, saying they were there to help. It’s rare to find both great food and such excellent hospitality together. Highly recommend this place, and I will definitely come back again!“

“Falafel corner is a great spot to grab a quick lunch . Be aware that Its not on the corner it's in the middle of the block . The shape of the falafels here is unique , they are not balls but more like small pattys . The falafel is always hot and very fresh . Crispy on the outside and a fresh green look on the inside . The tahini sauce and the hot sauce they use are very tasty ,and the veggies are always crisp and fresh . The staff is alwAys friendly .They have good prices . I would recommend this place for a delicious and affordable meal“

“Town Fare is excellent. Just ate here at their last Sunday brunch which happens monthly. It was buffet style. Chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits were superlative. The location in the Oakland Museum is super stylish and classic. This restaurant needs to be supported.“

“First time having caspers since I was a kid. I live in Texas now but came to Cali to visit family. I ordered the chilli cheese dog but instead of tomatoes I added jalapenos. It was so wonderful!! This business has been around for years as I am now 31. Very much a staple in the Oakland Bay area community. “I’m going to tell you why I love this place so much. It reminds me of food in the past when it came to buying fish you would order the fish and you would get potato salad or french fries and sliced white bread. Now if anybody is a little upper age, they understand me when I talk about the white bread nothing like it with fried fish. I’ll tell you a little hot sauce and for those who like it, tartar sauce too. It’s a very small place. There’s only a few seats where you could wait for your food but it’s definitely a takeout place you go in you order your food and you wait approximately 15 minutes if that and you’re gone. Now let’s talk about the fish crispy seasoned just right and nice portions. The french fries are good and the potato salad is pretty close to mine and that is saying a lot y’all.
The owner is a jewel. He is very kind and respectful and that is unfortunately rare, but he has it and he deserves a nice tip every time I go because I appreciate him taking the time and making sure his fish is fresh and that is cooked right and that it taste right thank you so much, sir for a good lunch every time I go. Now, if you folks are coming from out of town, you got a hotel and you trying to find some quick try his business. I don’t know how late things open but if you can catch it for lunch man, I’m telling you you will not be sorry. “I had the Chicken Mix Bowl with the smokey chipotle sauce and it was AMAZING. I am allergic to dairy, gluten, and soy so being able to not worry about that with my meal was so nice. I also have ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) and have a really hard with certain textures, usually chicken is really hard for me to eat but I had no issues with this chicken!! The texture was consistent all the way through, pulled apart really easily, and was just overall amazing. The portions are really good and the food is very flavorful. I'm really happy with my meal. “I absolutely love this place! I had the best fish sandwich I've had in a long time. I was just driving by when I noticed this restaurant, so I decided to stop and order their fish sandwich with a meal. They give you a bag full of fries, and everything was delicious. The sandwich was great, the fish was tasty, and the sauce was perfect—no complaints whatsoever.

I'm planning to go back very soon to try everything on the menu. I still need to sample their milkshakes and ice cream, but I didn't have a chance on this visit. Overall, the food I had was stunning. “Parking was tighter on this sunny Saturday afternoon, but didn't wait long. They have a parking lot but it seemed people were taking advantage in this busy neighborhood adjacent to Lake Merritt. There is no seating inside at the moment and a couple tables outside, with a walk-up window for food orders. I opted for the double cheese burger, onion rings and a banana+chocolate shake. It was ready fast, about 5 minutes! I always eat the fried food first, so onion rings were still hot. They use a delicious onion ring batter with a nice crunch that doesn't end up all over the place. A dipping sauce would be amazing but ketchup was good enough. The burger was solid, substantial but not fussy. The shake was great, thick and tasty. I love that they have so many great shake flavors. The price for the double cheeseburger is slightly higher than I'd like and there wasn't a 'combo' which is usually a better value. I am not blind to the current price of food and everything else, so I was more than willing to support a local mom'n'pop. Good food and happy that I live nearby for future visits.“

“This location is the best pizza service in Oakland. I used to do Domino’s but their app switched me to a location south of the lake which doesn’t abide by corporate policy to leave the order at the door if indicated by the customer in the app. Whereas this location abides by corporate policy and indeed follows customers’ instructions if they want their orders left at their doors. And the food is 1000% better too. For the same price you get twice as much food as Domino’s and it’s not loaded with salt.“

“These are the best Pupusas for miles. They are crispy, wholesome and packed with stuffing. I have to get their Salvadorian Tamale as well. It is different from the Mexican variety as in the masa is really smooth, not grainy. Also these are cooked in a banana leaf. It's worth the trip, even though parking in the lot outside can be a bit problematic.“

The only downside is that it's in the middle of one of the worst homeless encampments around so there's always sketchy people wandering through looking for handouts or dogging through garbage out front.

“Ordered their famous bowls, cheese curds and a chili cheese coney. Everything was hot and tasty, except the famous bowls could've had a few more pieces of chicken. They only gave about 5 small pieces of chicken in both of the bowls we ordered. If you want more gravy and chicken and corn, ask for it ahead of time. They gave a decent amount of mashed potatoes, that was very good.
Also, the melted cheese from the coney dog spilled out of the container and on almost all of the contents in the bag. They could've given me a bigger bag or maybe 2? Then I think the cheese wouldn't have spilled out. I do enjoy their chili cheese dogs more than the red and yellow W. We will be back because their food quality was great.“

“This McDonald's is in Eastmont mall parking lot. You have the police station, social security, in home care services, you can get your blood taken there and it's a bus transit station. Good staffing and different ethics staff that works there.“

“The Food is Burger King it's burger place the outer atmosphere is a bit sketchy for the wimpy and fearful but other than that if you just ignore what you see order quickly you won't notice the homeless people drinking beer next to you in the drive way. Service is a bit lacking of more friendly employees even when they are not busy, they fail to at least Say Hi! They just give you the amount you owe, hand you the order and close the door. Just forget we are paying 19.00 a burger to allow them to receive the 20.00 per hour wage you can at least be nicer to the customers trust me the burger is not worth 19.00 and neither will the employees be if they don't start being nicer and appreciate they still have customers willing to pay 19.00 for a burger meal. It's like the more they make the ruder the employees get, like there entitled to this big wage for being rude. Let's just hope they don't get replaced by Robots. They will be out of a job and be forced to work somewhere else and with that rude attitude it might be hard to find another job. I go to the drive thru once a week and order the same thing and get the same service from whoever is working, maybe that's their customer service training.“
