“This is more about the management side of things. I honestly didn’t have the BEST experience with them on my last order. BUT, they went out of there way to fix things. They are new in Oakland, just getting the operation together and I’m happy to see them there. They aren’t the cheapest but, I don’t want the Dominoes or Pizza Hutt experience (or quality) and if I pay a little extra for food, I want good service to follow. In the end, they offered great service. I’m impressed.“

I tried the fried catfish sandwich and was absolutely floored at how much food they gave me! Literally could not fit the whole thing in my mouth and had to eat half of the ingredients with a fork before picking it back up (this is a good problem to have, lol.)

The breading for the fish is cornmeal style, which reminded me a lot of Cajun food in Eastern Texas/Louisiana. I do wish there had been a bit more kick to the flavor, but they serve the food with a bottle of buffalo sauce which does the trick.

The house-made potato chips rock. Super, super well seasoned.

Parking: Like most of the area, there’s primarily street parking. I didn’t have any issue finding a spot within a block on a Sunday afternoon.“

“Thrilled to come upon this restaurant during a Keep Oakland Beautiful neighborhood event. The chicken sandwich was perfection and the combo meal portions were very satisfying. Had a side of the creamy mac & cheese and been dreaming about it since. The front of the house person answered my questions with helpful information and was very attentive throughout our meal. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. Looking forward to my next visit.“

“I would give them 3.5 stars for food. But boosted it as they have outdoor seating (which means you can bring your dog). I was super excited for their rose tteokbokki, but it was way too sweet. I've had much better. Their beef tofu stew is not a normal soon tofu and the taste caught us off guard. My husband liked it at first, but felt it got bland at the end. I got the pork rib soup, and it was basically a gamjatang. The soup was soup-erb, but unfortunately the meat was kinda dry and did not fall off the bone like I'm used to.“

“Easy to recommend despite the price floor, can't imagine spending under twenty for the basics of eggs and toast here after tax and tip which does fit California but not quite the high crime rate risks of this area. Will hope these great people can stick it out, we were taken care of quickly and had no issues from the attentive staff. Took to a good selection, pancakes, French toast, egg scramble, and avocado toast, showed up timely and looking too ripe for the grams. I noticed my crispy thick bread upholding big standards for bakeries. Delicious and savory, the others had no complaints either unless it's four dollar for a biscuit? That must be the inflation I keep hearing about! I suppose we hitting above our weight zone for the morning but it felt right to treat ourselves to first class. It's a splendid space and open wood, big windows, and lots of texture gives clean easy going vibes for a fun atmosphere. Parking wasn't too bad for a late Saturday morning but can bet it's not the easiest normally.“

“There's some slight confusion because ordering from "Slice of Hollywood" from Eat24, you get pizza from Pizza Nation, but that's no big deal. The food is GOOD. Best wings I've ever had delivered, and the pizza is really good as well. plenty of toppings, and so far I've only had great experiences with them. Great combo price deals too!“

“We stopped in after our kids' soccer game on Saturday.We tried the Chicken Tikka pizza.It's possibly the best thing I ever put in my mouth.The kids said they loved it, and thats high praise for them!

“So good ! Great service as well. I had buffalo ranch wings with a side of lemon pepper and it was great. definitely the best wing place on my list and my husbands !!“

“I bought the oyster combo with DoorDash and I absolutely loved the deep fried oysters. The fried breading was very tasty and the oysters tasted like they were cooked just right.

I chose potato salad for the side, I liked it, however, I do not know if they make it fresh.

The combo also comes with a Shasta brand soda, but cola and lemon lime are the only offered flavors.

I definitely want to order from here again.“

“Had half anchovies pizza and half pineapple,tomatoes,red onions. The pineapple side was just as I’d hope it would taste like! Veg.version of a Hawaiian pizza. Grandmas side of the pizza on the other hand, she had to pick off the anchovies because they tasted like a pile of salt? I’ve ordered from here before and never been disappointed, except this one time with the anchovies. Still, would return and recommend this location.
