“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. We had the Lao appetizer platter which gives a nice sampling of nibbles. Also ordered the som tum goong & the shrimp avocado panang curry, both very yummy. “ok so at first i didnt know this place was even a thing but the pizza we order was very good and there was code on our coupon and we used and it said we could get a free 2 liters bottle soda but we used it to knock down the price and so when we went to go pick up the pizza and we told the worker about the coupon and ect and they told us since we used the code to knock down the price if we wanted the bottle soda we would have to pay 5 bucks for it so we decided to leave the place and we arent coming back to this place“

It turned out to be an absolute flavor bomb.The execution on the crust is flawless. You could scrape the bottom of this pizza with a knife and hear how perfectly crispy it is. It is not soggy at all, and it has just a little bit of wilt at the tip when you fold it—the true sign of a perfect slice. This restaurant is underappreciated and therefore punches above its weight as far as quality and table availability. “I was looking for a salad somewhere other than Mixt and was directed here by a friend. Their salads are so good, full, fresh, and they're so flavorful you don't need much dressing at all. “Quick and affordable made to order onigiri with vegan/plant based options. I like the spicy tofu triangle, the teriyaki tofu and the kimchi tofu triangles are good as well. They usually throw in complimentary edamame if you get a few, and they have other options as well. More of a grab and go atmosphere but they are fast and friendly to me, and the condiment section is loaded with good stuff like free sesame seeds, teriyaki sauce, Japanese spice, Sriracha, shoyu etc. I like this for a nice light meal for some protein and energy after a work out or so.“

I got that fairly late at 2PM and everything was sold out except for the carne. The person I spoke to said to come early usually before noon if you want to have a taste of everything else. “We showed up just 15 minutes before closing, fully expecting to be turned away, but they still happily took our to-go order and treated us with amazing customer service. The food was absolutely incredible! Every roll was fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. The salmon with lemon was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the eel roll was perfectly balanced, and the baked rolls were rich, loaded with toppings, and seriously some of the best sushi we've had. Nothing tasted rushed, even though they were about to close. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of their food. We'll definitely be back and recommending this place to everyone.“
