“Everything was amazing! We ordered the stuffed pizza, the cheese and the tomato sauce is beyond delicious, totally worth it. Also, I try the river city root beer and it was so yummy that I had to order two of them (I never drink soda)Super nice employees, definitely we’ll come back“
“This is my favorite pizza. Also, it is my favorite gluten free pizza.Furthermore, it is my favorite vegan pizza. Finally, the people who work here are friendly and clever. My friends like Dimond Slice, too. They said, "How did you find this place?"“
“I wound up here on a lark after a dr's appt with my kid. And it's the best random decision we've made recently! Turns out the owner is changing it from just a bakery/pizzeria into that plus shawarma and a little grocery store! We of course got a pizza for lunch and he was so kind as to give us a sample of the Turkish delight which was so good I bought several other things. A couple of tables inside and out means there is still seating! I will absolutely return when the new foods come in. The name is about to change as well, so hopefully he doesn't lose all these wonderful reviews!Parking: It's an assuming corner so there were spots available.Wheelchair accessibility: The store is at the corner and has a level entry and corner ramp access.“
“Did a lunch take out today & it was so delicious! They said it would be 15 mins and it was exactly 15 mins! Walked it back to the office & it was still SO delicious upon arrival. This place is it. Maybe some of the best pizza I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a lot of pizza.“
“Pizza was amazing. I've had chicago style pizza before and this is similar. The crust was a great crunch and toppings were fresh. The best part was the sauce, just order ahead because the pizza takes 15-30min to make just depends on what you order. Also if you get the deep dish one slice is equally the same as 2 regular slices.“
“Got to try the famous sliver pizza! The pizza of the day was the tomato mozzarella but I really wanted the corn pizza so we ordered a whole pie! This location is great because you can order pies of the other popular flavors The corn pizza was so unique! I loved adding the lime to the pizza which helped cut the saltiness for me. I wish the corn on the pizza was a bit sweeter but overall this pizza was delicious! I didn't like adding the green sauce to this though because it would over power the flavor of the pizza The cashier then offered us two free slivers of the pizza of the day so we got to try the tomato mozzarella! This was okay and tasted like a margarita pizza if anything Overall great experience“
“Another offshoot of the original sliver, another pizzeria bearing the DNA of Arizmendi And cheese board pizza from Berkeley.Wasn't a huge fan of today's pineapple option, but the pizza made it bearable. I did notice that this pizza was kind of chewy, and didn't have the crispy bottom that it does at some of the other stores, but they're still getting things ironed out I guess. As usual the people that work there were really kind, Aunt I really like the cozy Booth layout of this particular Montclair location. It also doesn't offend me that there's a gelato bar in this pizzeria.Definitely glad that there's a place to get a slice in Montclair, and the fact that it is next to a Pete's coffee makes it even better. Coffee and pizza is the ultimate power lunch for summertime. Also at two slices for under $10 and that includes a tip is a great deal these days.“
“I like saucy pizza, which is why I like Heshers. We were first introduced to the pizza when we used to come to crooked city cider. Now heshers has taken over the whole building in a prime area of Jack London Square. We came at opening time, 12 PM on a rainy Saturday for a friends birthday. Because it is a rainy weekend we had to change our outdoor plans and this is a great location for a large group with dogs who can hang out indoors. Also great because you order at the counter and don't have to deal with a group check mess. We ordered our drinks at the counter, and some people who were able to try small tastings if they were unsure of what to order. Pizza was ordered at the window in the corner and brought out to us according to our numbers. The staff was accommodating to our large group, and we were the only ones there until a Meetup took over the other half of the restaurant with their boardgames. There are also tons of boardgames in the cabinet that you can play and pinball machines in their own separate area, along with the pool table. Great place to keep entertained while enjoying your pizza, beer, wine, cider, kombucha, or nonalcoholic beverage. There is a water station right behind the cashier. There are two unisex restrooms, straight back. They have the little locks that tell you if they are in use or vacant, which is very helpful. They also do some heavy metal concerts here, which my husband was very excited about when he saw the listings for them. While we were there, the music was not very loud so we were able to chat freely. There are metered parking, free parking streets, or it is a walk down from 12th St. BART. They used to have a free Broadway shuttle, I'm not sure if that's still exists Join their social media pages and you'll be informed of special events, concerts, trivia, bingo, and what not. Our vegan friend is very happy that they have a vegan pizza option here. There is something for everyone! You can help bus your tables by taking empty glasses to the front and the rest of the trash area. There are benches in the front that you can hang out at if it's a nice day out.“
“I recently moved to Downtown Oakland & my boyfriend suggested I try out Edible. They may be on the pricey side, but for good reason. You can taste the quality and flavor. Definitely going to try some of their other pizzas in the near future.“
“5 stars for a down right good pizza experience. The most New York kinda slice I’ve had in the Bay Area. Of course nicks is its own, authentic kind a pie, but the thin crust and slightly oozy cheese rolling off just makes me think of East coast vibes. But luckily, everything else, including the wonderful staff are definitely indicative of the Best Coast.“
“We had a kids (8 year olds) pizza lunch before a movie play date at Pizzeria Violetta on a Sunday - 7 kids and assorted parents. Wasn't crowded at 12 noon so we were able to camp at the single large table (seats 6+). Plenty of bar seating around the perimeter. The cheese pizza was gobbled up by the kiddos and there are great salads and assorted beverages available as well. The staff were very accommodating (I called in advance to see if we could "reserve" the table - you can't reserve it but if you come early enough, it's usually available). Great pizza, staff doesn't get freaked out by a bunch of 8 year olds, nice place to gather for kids and parents before a movie.“
“The service is great! The food coming out was a little slow but what can you expect from a place with a bomb atmosphere and excellent food, the wings and pizza are both just , BOOM! Blast of perfect flavors. Will always revisit when in town! Highly recommend!“
“Friday night was busy. We had a reservation for 8:30 however it took a while for the previous party to leave. The food was amazing. Loved the Brussels sprouts and the fennel salad. The pizzas were perfect - even though we were thinking broccoli pizza may not be to everyone's liking, we all enjoyed it. The pear bourbon and pecan dessert also hit its mark.“
“Looking to satisfy your cravings for a new york style pizza? Check out Bloom! They hand make their pizzas by the order to guarantee freshness. Using quality ingredients that you can taste. The sitting arrangement is cozy with little sprinkles of NY vibes. 10/10 will come back to try the rest of the menu.“
“This is a local original Oakland pizzeria / beer bar. You can find long list of local and draft beers for sure accommodating all tastes. The beer list keeps updating with new beers. Beer lovers alert!Bar is more of beer / wine only.Plenty of space indie and outdoor. It's actually a very good place for outdoor seating with open area.I'd think not kids friendly, it's a great place for adult gathering, meet ups and even a cozy date. Not easy accessible at all. Steps and various surfaces involved. For food, pizza are wood oven baked and so delicious. Joey and classic are our favorite. Burgers are juicy and cook to order. Burrata plate is sooo refreshing and yummy. Best appetizer to share.Service is a bit choppy and waiter dependent. Overall good. Staff are friendly in general. It's per table QR code order. It's a great place all in all and will be back for pizza and burrata.Vegetarian options: Menu has vegetarian optionsParking: Find street parking sing the block“
“We went on Valentine's Day and arrived when they were packed, especially with a lot of walk-in's. The hostesses handled it really well, we were seated within 15min or so. Service was generally good, but didn't get a chance to order another drink since the sever didn't come by very often. Food was excellent. Especially the pappardelle with pork ragu- highly recommend!“
“10/10 always great friendly customer service.. the guy Alex always goes above and beyond to make sure his picky customer(me) is happy... with out a doubt the best Pizza Guys in the Bay Area I've ate At several and this location by far I'll choose this location EVERYTIME, when it comes to pizza guys !!!!?Porsha“
“First off, the service here is amazing & lightening fast. You scan the menu to order & within a few minutes, your order is right before you. Started off with the frozen margarita (refreshing but packs a punch), then the vegan jackfruit taquitos (very crispy), the insanely delicious tikka wings & delicious masala & creamy blue cheese dips to go with it. Finally OG 14 (fresh buffalo mozzarella with torn basil & sauce). Great place to hangout after work or for any meal“
“Great spot for beer and good food (sandwiches and burgers mainly). I've never had a problem with the food service, but when the bar gets packed (for example, on Trivia Night) it is usually just one bartender behind the bar to get people's drinks. Could be faster. Still, one of my favorite pubs in town.“
“Hands down one of the best Indian pizzas I've ever had. We ordered the Spicy Bread, Chicken Pizza Masala & Mango Monsoon. I felt like I couldn't eat it fast enough! Definitely worth the food coma. Ty for the good vibes and delicious noms ??“
“As an office worker in downtown Oakland, I don't always eat an entire pizza for lunch, but when I do, I am sure to pick City Center Pizzeria. Their staff is friendly and efficient. The sausage and pesto is particularly good and I like the texture of their crust.“
“Highly recommend their brie and hot honey pizza! It also comes with Asian pears and pistachio. The crust was simply amazing.. why can't all crusts be like this?! My partner doesn't like crusts at all, but she wouldn't stop complimenting it.Also ordered their coffee & cigarettes, which is a smoked coffee porter. Recognized St. Frank since we had it back in SF.“
“Ambiance: Ordered the Caesar salad, rosemary wings, Ube pizza and Longaniza pizza. I’m a huge Ube fan, but the longaniza pizza was actually better in my opinion. The Ube crust isn’t too strong, but when you bite into the Ube ricotta, you get a nice flavor burst of Ube. I give the food a 5* for uniqueness and great blend of flavors. Service was okay, as the waitress forgot things we asked for on multiple occasions, but she was the only person in the whole restaurant.Would come back again, but would not go out of my way to.“
“Unexpected pizza party! We needed a quick bite before a show and this place came through. The gardener pizza was awesome! I called in the order on a Friday night at 7:00pm and it was ready 20 mins later. Restaurant was very clean and well kept. Thank you for the wonderful “
“I’m always greeted warmly & my orders are always on point. The pizza is a 10/10 for me.I choose Purple Pizza over any other pizza place for quality , taste , and price. My favorite is the Supreme Combo & Chicken on the Green ?? #Half&Half“
“So I couldn’t find the O’s deli anywhere , this is where I originally wanted to go and grab a sandwich from, I couldn’t find it that was in the same building, but Elías was kind to telll me where they’re where , they happened to be out of business .So I came back and order lunch from Skyline pizza . I normally get a small pizza with white sauce, pepperoni and sausage and mushrooms. That’s my go to pizza. Elías has informed me that that was already gonna be three toppings, and I might as well go with the Italian garlic sausage pizza because I would have been cheaper. The pizza I ordered was freaking amazing. The flavors was there. The crust was perfect and overall it was a good combination.I also ordered a six piece wings. Elías is informed me that wings take a longer to cook than pizza which I was OK with it. He also made sure that I was OK with how my wings looks like because I just wanna plain wings.Even the wings were amazing. I will come back again and it’s very affordable.Dietary restrictions: They also have gluten-free pizza crustParking: There’s plenty of parking downhill and uphillWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and she’ll chair accessible“
“Now I'm here for another review and no it's not about the food it's self. This review is about the owner Moe , when i say he takes the time out to read our reviews and take in his customers feedback he truly does. His service as person is 40/40 he is real respectful hears you out and also he does all the cooking himself, if you don't like the food or location fine but I bet my last dollar if you had an encounter with Moe then you understand when I say his vibes are totally honest“
“Zero flop pizza, that's a win in my book.I came here for a quick slice and it hit the spot. I'm a big fan of thin crust pizza, especially if it actually stays structured. Their burrata and their mushroom pizza had just enough toppings. I honestly could have eaten 2 slices.I'll come back to try others. I give 4 stars to places I tried once.“
“This is the second time I post a comment on my favorite place of all time LUPITA's PANDERIA ? Thee only numero uno BAKERY in this unforgettable beautiful city of OAKLAND. I swear I will lose my lengua if I say more ? Everything so fresh like always and their service is marvelous and so perfecto oh my G and the folks they are so lovely and friendly. . good people . . good service. @the owner of LUPITA's PANDERIA .. GREAT JOB MAMA ? Your love and kindness for serving others will multiplied 100times fold right back at you.Much loveAMIGA?“
“Went here for dinner with 2 older uncles. The restaurant is nice. We were seated immediately at a busy time with no reservation. The food was very good and plentiful. One server was nice enough to come over and serve the salad we ordered to split. Food came out pretty quickly. Prices are decent for nice Italian restaurants. They have some unusual cocktails on the menu, including make your own Manhattan. There was live music with guitar player, and it was hard to have a conversation close to the musicians. Would definitely recommend it but ask to be seated far from the music if you are with anyone hard of hearing.“
“My gals know I'm normally a Square Pie Guys girl but had to have some pizza on my "cheat day" after my walk around Lake Merrill. I was licking my chops!!!! So yummy and DELISH, if you eat here prepared to have your socks knocked off. Now I know where to get pizza pies for my nieces and nephews for Tim's birthday extravaganza. LOVE IT!“
“Just as good as the North Oakland location food and service-wise. I do prefer the interior of the North Oakland one better, but it’s more just personal preference. Outstanding food, no frills just all quality and care. Got the spaghetti and homemade meatballs and it was incredibly delicious. ? I will definitely be back! The canollis look amazing too.“
“Came here to take a friend out for her birthday. Host was very accommodating and waiter was wonderful. Not rushed, delicious gluten free pizza and Greek salad. Perfectly seasoned, delicious crust and cocktails were generous. Very enjoyable evening .“
“The owner's vibes is infectious and bright. I can see people wanting to come in just to get a piece of that energy radiating off. I ordered an ice mocha and slice of pound cake. I don't usually even eat breakfast. All the customers were very polite and neighborly. A very local business vibe in this big city. Coffee and cake were good! Note..sizes are medium, large, and extra large. There's also an abundance of candies and treats, baklava, bagels, pastries...“
“So me and my husband live a block away from this place and finally decided to give them a try. I wish we tried them sooner because the food is actually very good. We both got the lamb sandwich. The lamb was fresh and tender and the bread was soft. The sandwich was not dry at all. The owner I assumed that was there was nice. Next time I might try their pizza.“
“Our first time trying this pizza place, we got a combo pizza. The toppings were pepperoni, sausage, peppers, olives, ham, and maybe mushrooms too. The crust was crisp on the bottom and absolutely delicious. I usually leave the crust out when I eat pizzas but I ate it this time. Toppings were very generous which I lovedddd. It came with some sort of cheesy dipping sauce which was also delicious. Only taking a star off because we’ve eaten better pizza in different states but this is my top choice in the area for sure!“
“***third update*** 3/22/24 yep. The best pizza. When it ain't broke, don't change it! We get their Cesar salad regularly and they use anchovies in their dressing, which is how it's supposed to be. My companions loved the garlic knots, not too sloppy and not too heavy on the garlic either, because too much IS too much. We can't seem to deviate from their Old School and the Spraycation, two solid pizzas that seem to please our family of five. They have a medium-sized patio in the back with heaters for chilly nights; they were playing a great selection of older hip hop/ R&B, and the waterfall and tall tree in the back made for nice touches to an otherwise stark environment. Whether it's takeout or dine-in, we can't get enough of Graffiti! We're so lucky they decided on Oakland to open their establishment. We had **update** ordered on 6/11/22, yup. SILL the best pizza in the East Bay!The BEST pizza in the East Bay! We've ordered from them about 4 times now, trying several of their different styles. Their crust is that wonderful combo of crisp and chewy, the time they let their dough rest really shows. Their sauce is a perfect blend of just the right amount of tomato goodness without being overly acidic or garlicky which always detracts from the delicate flavor of the crust.Toppings are high quality and very proportional to the whole pie- each slice has an even distribution of ingredients. We indulged in two pizzas one night, the Old School and the Spraycation, their version of a Hawaiian. The slight smokiness from the ham came through on the Spraycation, and the Old School was a hearty pie with pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms covering each cheesy slice yet not making it soggy. These guys have it DOWN. Great pizza takes time, so be patient and order ahead. This ain't Domino's so if you want fast and cheap, go elsewhere.Vegetarian options: It's pizza - of course it's vegetarian to begin with. No vegan/vegetarian meat substitutes.“
“Hoza hands down has the best vegan chicken wings I’ve ever had. They’re made in house and I believe they are seitan. The sauces slap especially the carolina gold but honestly love them all. They don’t do the whole sugar cane bone like some high end vegan restaurants but personally the flavor and texture are so good I don’t think it’s missing a thing. The vegan pizza varies from okay to good depending on what you get. Personally like the spuddy buddy the best.Recently they moved to the space next door and it’s got a nice vibe in there definitely want to check out happy hour sometime.Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“The chocolate chip cookies here are fantastic - the best you can find in Oakland. I’ve been ordering them through DoorDash for some time now, but today was the first time I visited the shop. The owner Hassan is a great guy and has big dreams for what the restaurant can become. I’m excited to watch it unfold!“
“Thank you so much for your hospitality and the great food! We came in as a 17 person group of mostly high school students with very last minute notice and were provided the best service possible. They were not only kind, but very generous and accommodating. The pizza came out quickly and was excellent! Thank you, again!!!“
“Delicious food and lovely service. We came here during Oakland Restaurant Week 2024 and delighted to find this new place close to BART. Boquerones and winter caprese starters were very nice, the smoked trout salad was excellent, cider-braised pork was mouthwatering, and squid ink pasta was fabulous.“
“My husband and I ate at The Forge prior to seeing Sheila E. at Yoshi's last night. Daniel was our server. He was such a nice guy. Our salads, drinks and dessert were so tasty! We decided this is our go-to restaurant prior to seeing a Yoshi's show. Great food, service and ambiance. Give it a try!“
“Honestly - this place blew away my expectations. There was one man, casually whipping out top class pies out of the beautiful Dome oven. I took one bite of the Margherita Pizza and was genuinely in shock - how was this slice so perfectly thin and crispy. Literally the best first bite I've ever had. They have some really neat items on the menu and service was nothing short of great. The first bite was an instant 9.6/10. The pizzas are definitely in the 8s and 9s in general. Highly recommended!“
“they are so kind, open on christmas and you can call and place a delivery order to avoid the crazy app fees. I get anything on their thin crust. I also like to go there for a slice before seeing a movie at the new parkway, their pizza is way better. I think amazona’s was the first thing I ordered when i moved to oakland ten years ago and haven’t found better pizza delivery since.“
“I’m not a vegan and I love the vegan pie. The staff was so nice and friendly. It made me feel like we were friends for a long time before today. Can’t wait to come back and have another pie with them. Thanks again for making me feel welcome.“
“I love that they sell the dough kits, we depend on them as we are trying to learn to use our pizza oven! The dough is amazing and we make great pizzas at home with it. I do wish they had some vegan cheese, we'd order their cooked pizzas more often if they did.“
“This place is a gem! The pizzas are great - especially the artichoke one- and the people are very friendly. The bartenders are true, passionate mixologists, and the cocktails are delicious. I have only been there on week days but would definitely try one of their karaoke nights!“
“The food here is really good. The server is friendly and they always have a game on the screen as well as music videos from Africa. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone seems to know one another. Very casual but the food is always on point.“
“I absolutely adore Arzimendi! I've been to this location and the Valencia st location in SF and everytime I go, I am reminded of how much I love it. The baked goods are delicious and affordable. The pizza is divine and it's so fun to see what new slice comes out each day. Arizmendi is also a co-op so I'm happy to support them with my service as much as possible!“
