“We usually get delivery, but have eaten at the restaurant a couple of times, and it's been a comfortable experience.

The food, though—the food is soooo good! The pizza is always a good choice, and I often find myself going for the rigatoni pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken. It's cooked perfectly, and it comes with garlic bread!

The salads are a good size for sharing, and we usually order the Caesar.

They offer halal meat options, which is not a consideration for me, but it's good to see that they are conscious of their customers' needs and preferences.

“Great location and selection of food and the selection is expanding from what I hear! Kid friendly and a great place to have birthday parties, happy hours, or for any reason. Indoor and outdoor seating options (dog friendly outdoors). They also have lots of TVs for MMA, European, Cricket, and all sports fanatics, inclusive of Baseball, Basketball, and Football! VJ’s also has a FULL COCKTAIL BAR! Great beer selection as well! The owner and his staff are all great. Come by and check out VJ’s! It’s next to the UPS Store at Marina Village.“

“We had lovely cocktails, the Sunday Edition and Popular on Payday umm We then shared their special ribeye with smashed potatoes and asparagus... excellent... and their always popular ribbon pasta .. delicious as well. We expected to bring more home ... but too good to stop ! Thanks East End!“

“We dined in with a couple of kids after school today. Busy lunch period with only 1 staff member around 1:00 to prep, cook and service the counter. I did not get her name but she was outstanding with her help and service, maintained a great and welcoming attitude with customers, checked on the bathroom conditions and dining tables. She helped make our dine-in experience a good one and will return in the future.“

“I picked up my order and I loved my pizza and churros so much… that I had to come back two days later for more food! The churros were outstanding. Doughy, cinnamon y, yummy. “Honestly one of the better pizzas i’ve had in a long time. We went on a weekday and the crust was perfectly chewy with just the right amount of char. The sauce tasted really fresh, not too sweet and not too acidic which is suprisingly hard to find. My partner got a white pizza that had a ton of garlic on it and it was amazing. The staff were super chill and even messed up our order a little but they fixed it right away with a smile. We sat outside and it was nice and quiet, not crowded at all. Cannnot wait to go back and try everything else on the menu“

“I'm from Italy (have lived in Philadelphia for 20 years), and I was in Alameda in 2015 for a friend's wedding. I happened upon this place, and what a joy! Not only is the owner (who ended up at our table, where we had a lovely conversation) Livornese (I'm from Tirrenia, a province of Pisa), but the food was incredible, AND he knew a number of people that I knew! It's been five years, and I really want to go back some day. BOIA! CHE GIOIA!“
