“8 Moose Pizzeria has quickly become one of our favorite pizza spots. We love thin slice and good sauce (a must) and they deliver. It’s nice to have an alternative fromSlice House (hit and miss on quality) and Melo’s (always consistent).

“My daughter and I passed by Zamboni's Pizza many times when we were in Orinda shopping at Safeway, which is across the street, in the Shopping Center. I always wanted to find out how Zamboni's Pizza tasted, but we never had the extra time to stop by till now, and I must say that it is the most tasty Pizza ever. My daughter asked me if I wanted a slice or if I wanted the traditional large pizza or a personal pizza. I chose to sample the pizza, so I opted for the personal Pizza. They offered a variety of Pizza on the menu, but I told my daughter that I felt like having the simplest one possible. So, she ordered me the regular cheese personal Pizza. The crust wasn't deep dish, but it wasn't thin either, it was puffy, it was not salty, and the cheese was not salty at all, which is what I loved about this pizza. For those who have blood pressure can definitely drop by Zamboni's Pizza, which I definitely recommend. My daughter, to whom I offered a piece, loved it too. So, we're definitely ready to order the large size Margherita Pizza on our next visit. Street parking is available or one can park in the Safeway parking lot and cross the street to Zamboni's Pizza. That's what my daughter and I did. We stopped at Safeway to buy our fruits and veggies and then dropped in at Zamboni's. Orinda is beautiful. The drive to Orinda is so relaxing. There is traffic in the mornings before working hours and in the evenings after work. I have taken photos for you to view.“

“Located not far from the Orinda library, easy parking. As you enter, you are greeted by yummy smells that instantly reminds you of pizza and pasta. Friendly greeting. I loved the private booths and the dining area overlooks a trail with a woodsy window views. Lighting is friendly on the eyes. Our server was Sasha, who was friendly, warm, engaging, and competent. We order the soup of the day, a spinach salad to share, a large pizza , and ravioli. The sauces are all made in house. The pizza crust was super tasty with a good crumb and chew . Plenty of leftovers. We ended preventing with the Nutella cheesecake. There were families and locals. Good music. Recommend for a casual evening out or for take out. Got the impression this was family owned and they hire local students, so bring the support!“

“Finally had time to visit the new location. The cozy jazzy atmosphere at 11pm was perfect for a post BroadwaySF pizza. The pizza was huge and drowning in very fine Parmesan hiding the pepperoni chinks underneath, the whole bunch of basil was badass. Basically a choose your own basil adventure... Take your date after a show, you'll be a hero(ine). Date night 💯! Thanks June's for the extra late hours! We couldn't find anything nice in the city! 😂“

“Stumbled in here just to get a slice for lunch, and left with two of the best NY style-slices in Berkeley. So much attention to detail and flavor in the dough and sauce PLUS they freshly grate Parmesan on your slice after reheating it. Way more than I was expecting and reasonably priced! I liked both the mushroom-leek slice and pepperoni-onion!“

For those that don't know, she was the right arm for Toni Gemignani, arguably the most famous pizza maker on the planet, through a whole bunch of his concepts since the beginning of both of their careers. She opened her own place in Berkeley and it's great to see her continuing to thrive at the level she did with Tony. Also the food is really good. The sleeper here might be the pasta which gets as much love as the pizzas.“

“I've been buying pizza here for 13 years and continue to drive there from Oakland even after leaving Alameda 10 years ago. Tough to find a better pizza because it is always fresh, hot, fairly priced, and the crust is so good. I love the garlic chicken and garlic supreme the most. They don't skimp on toppings and the dough is just delicious. The guys are always super nice and if there was one in North Oakland I would probably eat there once a week so it's probably better that I have to drive out. Haha!“
