“One of the best taco spots I've had in a while and wish there was a location closer to me! Even the plain ol rice and beans had me and I'm not even a rice and beans kinda person. Also, I'm picky when it comes to horchata and they have one of the best! Staff is also so friendly!! 10/10 im definitely coming back any time im in the area!”
“This is my all time favorite restaurant. I've been coming to the Casa since I was 21 years old, im 70ish now. Food is always great, never a bad one. Try to get there at lease once a week. The hostess are so wonderful, call you by name. All around the best!”
“Charming little spot with cheerful decor and welcoming staff. Probably best suited to small groups as it's quite cozy. Went for my birthday with family, including elderly-ish mom who enjoyed the food and was treated very kindly by the staff.”
“Hanazen oferred some of the most delicious fish and housemade seasonings I have ever tasted. The service was incredible and the food was beyond memorable. Be sure to call and make a reservation for a meal you won't soon forget.”
“Exceptional food and a hidden gem of a restaurant for anyone who adores Chinese cuisine. From the fresh, crisp egg rolls to the full range of kung pow specialties to the Hong Kong style dishes to the delicately prepared seafoods (once in a lifetime candied walnut prawns for a life-changing experience!). Very sweet and welcoming young couple (yea, Mary) are the owners, the staff are well-trained and carefully selected, the service is impeccable, and the prices are very, very competitive. You'll want to order extra dishes to take home for the next day(s). Wonderful. Ellie and Bob Fisher”
“I’m really happy to find this place. Quiet, inexpensive, good food and coffee, super friendly owner, and decent wifi. I work remotely and like to get out of the house. This will be definitely my regular spot to do my morning emails and have breakfast.”
“We are so lucky to have Saffron in Lamorinda. The food is delicious, flavorful, clean ingredients and authentic. Everything is made with so much love. This is the spot to get your dose of Indian food or catering for parties. Full of comminity!!!!! I went to a rad Diwali party at Saffron and left high on life.”
“My husband and I stopped in for sandwiches. Everything there is pre-made which they call Grab and Go. I had the Coronation Chicken and my husband had the Tarragon Chicken. They were delicious and the prices were reasonable. We also had a Southwestern Salad which was good but I thought it could use more corn and black beans. I understand that food costs are really high. They have a few tables to eat in. They also have Take and Bake dinners which I want to try. I think those have to be pre-ordered. We will be back even though it's a bit of a drive for us.”
“Real crab! I can't have gluten or soy so sushi is not something I do too often but this place has real crab and doesn't blink when I bring my own Sanjay pea protein tamari. Atmosphere is fine. Service is fine.”
“I walked into a nice restaurant decorated in with Thai art, classy cocktail music, and a smiling white with a ponytail. He asked me what I wanted for a drink, so I asked for my favorite drink, Thai ice coffee. The delicious iced coffee came very quickly in a canning jar with handles. My order of three lunch specials was cooked and served very quickly. For most people, ordering one lunch special is enough, but I wanted to try their food in a big way. Only then can you experience the chef's cuisine. Also, I'm babysitting a cat here in Orinda for nine days, so I haven't wanted to cook if i can order enough to eat delicious leftovers. What a pleasant surprise, the food, atmosphere, and the three dishes, were quite fresh and delicious. The Pad Thai, which I ordered with chicken, was very nice, I had delicately seasoned noodles, shredded carrots, shredded cabbage, green onions, fried tofu, fried eggs, bean sprouts, and finely chopped peanuts. For an extra $2, you can get the egg roll and salad, but I already had those with the two other lunch specials. The #6 Peanut Prawns, which were deep fried in a light batter, came with peanut curry sauce over a bed of spinach in a bowl, served with slices of orange, a crunchy Noodle salad, rice and a fried vegetarian Thai egg roll. Delicious! The prawns were a decent size, and quite tasty. My last dish was #12, Garlic Pepper Calamari, with onions, zucchini, mushrooms, green onions, fried noodles, were served with the sliced oranges, plus a noodles salad with carrots, cucumber, red cabbage, and shredded iceberg lettuce, deep fried noodles, were crunchy and fresh with a light dressing. Overall, the food was quite superb, my mom lived in Bangkok for fourteen years, so I know how to appreciate Thai food. I will definitely come here again if I'm visiting the area again.”
“We are visiting from Colorado and found this cute little spot on our way to see some Redwoods. Totally recommend for breakfast/brunch! I got Heavos con Chorizo and I couldn't even finish it they gave what looked like 3-4 eggs and an entire can of black beans as the side. Not only was it a good amount of food but it was also delicious. My partner got the two egg breakfast and also felt like it was a good serving size. Bacon was thick and yummy. Service staff was so kind as well. Highly recommend!!”
“Owner Michael Karp and his awesome staff have created a tap room style bar & grill that really feels like a home away from home (think 'Cheers' - where everybody knows your name...). Staff and customers are friendly, drinks are stiff, beer list is 2nd to none in this area, and believe it or not, they've got a killer little wine list too. Doren Cab and Josie Rosé by the glass -- Get after it! The food is solid too. It's not super fancy but comfort food that hits the mark for simplicity and quality. If the weather is nice, they've got a killer patio with firepit and TVs showing the top games. If you find yourself in Orinda looking for a great restaurant and fun watering hole, look no further than Fourth Bore!”
“I stopped by with a buddy and had lunch on a whim. The lunch specials and staff are excellent and under $20. I enjoyed it so much I ordered to go to take home for the Mrs.”
“I used to work for Adrian and Araceli over a decade ago ! Miss them . Food is amazing, fresh ingredients, top of the line hideen gem for sure highly Recommended. I will be coming to Cali next week and can’t wait to get this ! Customers are also amazing dedicated family spot everyone ”
“I’ve only tried the chicken bahn mi and their Thai iced tea. Both very yummy and I recommend the bahn mi.. but I have an issue with how much ice they give you in the Thai iced tea. You basically only get a half cup of the tea. I will show a picture of what the cup looks like with ice taken out. And this is after I asked for less ice.”
