“Met up with a former colleague for lunch this afternoon. Cafe Teatro is a fairly simple straight forward operation. Coffee drinks, Italian sodas, sandwiches, assorted muffins and pastries.I got the pesto chicken sandwich on sourdough. It was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced.Restrooms are on the second floor by the library entrance. There's a brightly colored patio area with umbrellas and artwork. This is a great place to meet up with friends, or just hangout and enjoy a snack and a book.“

“This place is really cool. Parking wasn’t bad, but I came early, there was lots of street parking available. Outdoor seating that is covered, plants outside, indoor seating with long tables as well as bar seating in the window and at the counter. Full bar, great Irish coffee, no Wi-Fi but they have the Oakland Public Wi-Fi available and that worked well for me. Definitely would come back. Music was bangin too.“

“Wowzer! What a nice place. Everything is homemade. I wanted to sit outside and the staff person carried a table out to the sidewalk. I ordered an Americano and a blueberry scone. Scones are a great indicator of an excellent baker, and this one was excellent. It was light, moist and full of fresh blueberries; so good in fact that I ordered a meat pie to go so I could have it for lunch. It too was exceptional.“

“I saw someome make a TikTok about this place and immediately knew I had to add that to my list. I headed out to Berkeley on a Friday morning to try it out and I bought a friend who isnt a big fan of Thai and or Asian food. I was thankful to experience this style of northern Thai cuisine I believe the order Tanzie referred to it as. The hospitality and service was above average. I enjoyed all of my food and so did my friend. The pork jowl was agreed to be are favorite out of the all the dishes we tried. Very juicy , flavorful and just all around deliscious topped off with that crispy fried garlic. The brown rice over that soft scrambled "lava egg" was to die for paired with the savory tomato based minced pork that I ordered extra spicy of course. The star of the show that me and my friend both agreed on had to be the "prik nam pla" which I would describe as a sweet and spicy vinegar or fish sauce based dipping sauce accompanied by a nice punch of spice from the thai chili peppers. I dont have any complaints whatsoever and I will definitely be back.“

I got an iced kinfolx latte which has cinnamon, nutmeg , brown sugar and organge zest.
I couldn’t taste any of that.
The espresso was very very strong so if that’s your thing you will like it!

“Eunice Gourmet Café is a hidden gem! The coffee was amazing. I tried The Ash sandwich and was completely blown away fresh ingredients, perfect flavors, and honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m more than willing to drive the extra distance just to have it again!

“Start to finish delicious! We used to go to her spot in the Fillmore District SF called Gussie's Chicken & Waffles. Had the Bloody Mary's Revenge and the basil ginger soda, deviled eggs, fried chicken & sweet potato waffles, and the fried chicken sandwich. You can run & tell everybody that this is the spot! DJ Mark Divita during Sunday brunch gave us the perfect musical pairings.

“I have been going to Tay Tah cafe for years. Their Breakfast Energizer smoothie is my go-to lunch meal and my husband loves the Banh Mi sandwiches. We are so lucky to have this wonderful cafe in our neighborhood! The owner and employees are super friendly too!

What's even convenient for many of us who needs distraction as we wait for our order, there is a lotto scratchers machine. If your feeling lucky like I did... spent $30 on 1 scratcher and won $100. True story. I recommend their Avocado smoothie. The best Avocado smoothie in the Bay Area. I don't care and don't wanna hear it. Don't waste your money anywhere else. Go to Tapioca Cafe. Michelle makes the drinks better than her associates behind the register. She just knows how to make it. She's in the Boba game for over 10 years. Her donuts are made in house , not her house but at the shop very early in the morning. She's there all day every day and has the best kindest heart you will get to meet. Very professional, clean store. I could go on but I do have to mention that she is very Humble for a business owner. Mostly she could be seen in the back making sandwiches and washing the dishes and utensils that customers and associates have used. Her associates are just as hard working as she is, which I really don't mind tipping them in the tip jar every time I pay them a visit for my yummy taro smoothie. If you mention to her in question "Who's got the Best of the Best Avocado smoothie?" That's the secret 50% off . It only works at lunch and has to be mentioned before making your order at noon up to 30 mins after that, forget it. You'll get the... are you slow look. Don't take it personal, she gives me that look all the time then she breaks into her natural smile.“

I recently ordered mini sfogliatelles, cannolis, (3) meter long pizzas n wonder focaccia bread to make sandwiches and their famous olive bread sticks!!! Thanks for the beautiful foods and service!!! Among smoothie bowl places that i’ve been visited in Bay Area, this place has one of the most aesthetically pleasing bowls. “I get my nails done nearby and have been wanting to try this spot- today is my birthday and I have no plans so I decided to go next door grab a book and head over to have brunch. The restaurant is cozy and beautiful I love the plants the colors and energy very relaxing and inviting. I had my little dog with me in his purse and he was also welcomed lol. The staff are super sweet and patient. I ordered a tumeric ginger chai with 2 shots of espresso and an matcha almond croissant- amazing, a soya soya wrap- delicious and a cucumber mint lemonade with ginger beer. The food and drinks were so flavorful and fresh and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. I had a wonderful experience here and look forward to returning with friends or alone. Thank you!“

“Most fun and delightful. Aesthetic is nouveau. Bits of island, IKEA and kitsch all in one. The server was just fantastic. One really needs to know where this lounge is. I looked twice, but found no sign. Kava has maintained a really good consistency over time. Booch on tap... yummy.

“I recently discovered how much I love Empanadas within the last few years, so I was really stoked when they opened this location. They used to partner with another bakery next-door to the Y in downtown Oakland, so it was really nice to see this spot close by. The chicken empanadas are always my go to, but the Fugazzeta (cheese and onion ) has grown to be my favorite item on the menu! the staff are very friendly and help you figure out what’s for you if you’ve never been or are undecided on what to get. ( and if you have a sweet tooth, they tend to have Alfajores & sweet Empanadas sale as well! )Only downside is that there isn’t much indoor seating which could be a problem if it’s colder out, but this is minor in my opinion. Definitely worth trying if you want some good authentic Argentinian food.

“Yesterday was our first time here. Staff was friendly & helpful. Ordered a chicken rice plate, shrimp rice plate and a Gyro. All of it was tasty. We all agreed we would gladly eat here again. “There were three in my party. We ducked in here to take a break from the cold rain. We ordered a chai, a golden/turmeric chai, and a caffé latté, all with oat milk. It’s our first try of oat milk. We all liked it a lot. The foam on my golden chai was lovely. I’d reorder it anytime. I tried my mate’s latté with oat milk, I can recommend it. The pastries we ordered were all worth the consumption. I’m so glad there was one pretzel cheese bun left. It was delicious even though it wasn’t warm. I highly recommend them. We also ordered a quiche, a chocolate croissant, and an almond pastry. They were all superb. The almond pastry which was super light and flaky tasted like baklava more so than an almond filling. I liked the vibe here. So often I want to grab my order and split, not here. I felt fine taking refuge from the outside environs. The staff were sweet regardless of their spoken English being nearly impossible to understand. It was cool assuming they were part of the refugee program. It felt good being a patron there and the inspired conversation it led to. I am sure my party was surprised I was already knowledgeable about the topic on current refugees. That made our café and conversation time only that much more enjoyable.“

“Went here for the first time this morning after a friend raved about the place. I ordered the turkey sausage breakfast sandwich. The service was friendly and everyone was really nice. The environment was clean and welcoming. They have free Wi-Fi. My sandwich was brought out within about 5 minutes. It was hot and fresh and everything was good. My only issue is that they make the egg in the microwave. I could tell from the texture and steaminess of it that it was microwaved, probably in a plastic container. I asked the employee if a microwave was used for any part of the cooking and he confirmed they cook the egg in the microwave. When I go to a cafe, I don't want my food microwaved. If I had known they would microwave, I would have asked if they can make my eggs on the grill instead of the microwave. I might try that next time and see if they will accommodate, because I avoid the microwave.“

“I went there after Gameday at Cal. (Go Bears! ?) I got a BAT sandwich which was super good, the bacon was in-between crispy and chewy and the bread was semi crispy! I also got peach lemonade which exceeded my expectations! It tasted exactly like peaches, it didn't taste artificial at all! The service was very quick only taking about 5 minutes. The atmosphere felt cozy (except for paramedics being in front of the store front) !“
