Peter has done an amazing job keeping the traditional cafe menu, that we've all grown up loving, and elevating it without going too crazy. The food is really good and the prices very reasonable. The eggs benedict are by far the best I've eaten anywhere. Chicken sandwich is on par with Bakesale Betty. Highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Lamorinda.

A total hidden gem in Orinda! Has the most classic but delicious breakfasts. Tastes like home in the best way. My favorite huevos rancheros in the east bay. Highly recommend

Village Inn Café is a cozy breakfast and lunch spot in Orinda, serving simple yet delicious meals. Their menu features mouthwatering bacon and waffles, great burgers and fries, chili, and salads for lunch. They also offer a decadent chocolate milkshake that's so big it's best shared. The chicken sandwich and chicken and waffles are done of the best. With a few tables for outside dining, this no-frills café provides wonderful service in a safe location. Breakfast and brunch options are plentiful, with dishes like Heavos con Chorizo and two-egg breakfast serving generous portions of tasty food. The service staff is kind and attentive. The chicken salad and BLT with avocado are fresh and beautiful, with a real fresh home cooking style. Fresh squeezed OJ and regular coffee are awesome too. It is a ground floor establishment, and wheelchair access is easy-to-use.
