“I just moved into the building, and the Oasis Cafe is the best surprise! The people are delightful and friendly, and the food is delicious! It's quite an extensive menu for such a charmingly small space. While there is limited indoor seating, there is also seating outside.“

“I had a great conversation with a very friendly cashier, and the vibes of the place were amazing! The coffee isn’t expensive compared to other places, and there are so many unique options. I got the ether iced coffee, which is a darker toast, and it was phenomenal. There are a lot of spaces to sit there and do work/study, as well as a reading nook!“

“Cozy, family owned cafe, that I cannot recommend enough if you’re in town or passing through Lafayette. You will not find any place with better freshly baked scones on this side of the tunnel. They are baked every morning, and if you come in early enough, they might still be warm. Each batch comes out with the most perfect fluffy interior, with a crisp exterior crust. No hockey pucks here! The photo doesn’t do it justice because I couldn’t hold back eating it before posting. The chai tea is a house made blend, with all organic ingredients. Try it as a latte with a shot of espresso. It’s so much better than the chai syrup concentrated drink you get at Starbucks, and you can adjust the sweetness to your liking. This is the best place to stop by before walking the reservoir, before/after your trader joe’s run, or to sit down and catch up with a friend over coffee or boba tea(also incredibly fresh and chewy boba). Not to mention, it’s a great study spot you can sit and study at all day. They now offer breakfast burritos and sandwiches, which makes this place even better than all the competing chain coffee shops in the area. The owner, Apple, is one of the hardest working people you will ever meet, and so kind and welcoming.“

“There were three in my party. We ducked in here to take a break from the cold rain. We ordered a chai, a golden/turmeric chai, and a caffé latté, all with oat milk. It’s our first try of oat milk. We all liked it a lot. The foam on my golden chai was lovely. I’d reorder it anytime. I tried my mate’s latté with oat milk, I can recommend it. The pastries we ordered were all worth the consumption. I’m so glad there was one pretzel cheese bun left. It was delicious even though it wasn’t warm. I highly recommend them. We also ordered a quiche, a chocolate croissant, and an almond pastry. They were all superb. The almond pastry which was super light and flaky tasted like baklava more so than an almond filling. I liked the vibe here. So often I want to grab my order and split, not here. I felt fine taking refuge from the outside environs. The staff were sweet regardless of their spoken English being nearly impossible to understand. It was cool assuming they were part of the refugee program. It felt good being a patron there and the inspired conversation it led to. I am sure my party was surprised I was already knowledgeable about the topic on current refugees. That made our café and conversation time only that much more enjoyable.“

“I am so grateful that we finally have a late night chai/street food spot in east bay. Chai & co located at 2115 Pacheco st, Concord is a wonderful addition! We had the anda-shami royale, samosa chaat, and fresh naan khatai from khalifa (if you know, you know). All items were excellent and authentic! The space is well decorated with board games available and most importantly clean! We can’t wait to go back and work our way through the menu!“

Today’s special was chorizo and I was thrilled they let me add chorizo as the meat option to the breakfast croissant.

“Super awesome place! Was traveling out of town and I got the prosciutto toast with arugula and caramelized onions, and it was great!

The best part was how awesome the staff was with my son. He wanted a mango and peach smoothie which wasn’t on the menu, and they went out of their way to help us customize it into something he would actually like and he loved it.

We’ll definitely go again.“

“What a gem! In the courtyard of the Anthropology Museum, you’ll find this charming oasis. Everything from the furniture, landscape, menu, and soundtrack are all thoughtfully procured. Afternoon tea consisted of 3 refreshing flavors of tea and 3 sweet dishes. The chia seed porridge was a generous portion with a delicious flavor profile as well as texture. The toasted hazelnuts added a tasty crunch. Blackberries and gooseberries were a nice palate cleanser, and the chia seed flour brownie bites were addictive! The black walnuts and coarse East Bay salt were a perfect combination! I’m thankful they don’t sell these individually otherwise I would be eating them daily. In bulk.Not only was the meal unique and delicious, we also learned some Ohlone history and words as well as heard some lovely songs and spoken word that were pre-recorded. Came here to get away from crowded downtown WC because we couldn't find parking there for our bubble tea craving. 😅 Found this out-of-the-way location. This was a surprisingly nice shop within an updated shopping center. I've had Teaspoon before so I knew it would be decent.

We did a mobile order and the drinks were ready ahead of the scheduled pickup time. The employees were working diligently on other orders and the girl greeted me within a couple minutes or so.

The decor is inviting and cozy featuring a small library. My spouse used the restroom and said it was maintained well, clean and modern looking.

We weren't able to customize the sweetness on our drinks but they turned out fine, a bit on the sweet side. However, the boba to me was a bit overcooked on the outside of the pearls (though the chewiness inside was fine). Also, I didn't taste the honey flavor on what was supposed to be honey boba.“

OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “a MUST TRY for delicious roti and veg friendly options ! i ordered the roti breakfast, sweet oakland (roti w fruit and coconut ice cream), and a vietnamese iced coffee and all three was 10/10s - though i would recommend coming with a friend or partner to split the very generous portions.

i was so surprised at how empty the place was during peak lunch hour on a weekday but im guessing they get most of their inflow on the weekends; definitely recommend stopping by any day of the week for a bright, warm, sweet or savory, filling meal.“

We tried the Melo Ginger, Melo Chai, Melo Chocolate and Midnight Mystic. All with a “riptide” added and a hybrid of both kava strains. They were all exceptional and unique. They make your tongue numb after a couple sips. Very fun experience with great music. The space is very welcoming. Couches or bar seating. They have an entire wall that is live plants.“
