Parking: There are plenty of parking. However, I am not sure if you have to pay because most of the meters are not working.“

“This place is really cool. Parking wasn’t bad, but I came early, there was lots of street parking available. Outdoor seating that is covered, plants outside, indoor seating with long tables as well as bar seating in the window and at the counter. Full bar, great Irish coffee, no Wi-Fi but they have the Oakland Public Wi-Fi available and that worked well for me. Definitely would come back. Music was bangin too.“

“We were in town because of the death of a friend. The staff here was so incredibly nice to us! They went above and beyond. We got breakfast and coffee here every day we were in town. “I get my nails done nearby and have been wanting to try this spot- today is my birthday and I have no plans so I decided to go next door grab a book and head over to have brunch. The restaurant is cozy and beautiful I love the plants the colors and energy very relaxing and inviting. I had my little dog with me in his purse and he was also welcomed lol. The staff are super sweet and patient. I ordered a tumeric ginger chai with 2 shots of espresso and an matcha almond croissant- amazing, a soya soya wrap- delicious and a cucumber mint lemonade with ginger beer. The food and drinks were so flavorful and fresh and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. I had a wonderful experience here and look forward to returning with friends or alone. Thank you!“

“Most fun and delightful. Aesthetic is nouveau. Bits of island, IKEA and kitsch all in one. The server was just fantastic. One really needs to know where this lounge is. I looked twice, but found no sign. Kava has maintained a really good consistency over time. Booch on tap... yummy.

“As a huge fans of acai bowl or any smoothie bowls, I really recommend this place. Among smoothie bowl places that i’ve been visited in Bay Area, this place has one of the most aesthetically pleasing bowls. The price is a bit higher compare to other smoothie bowl places, but it is worth it since they offer great variety of topping. The taste and the texture are okay. For me, I have anothe smoothie bowl place that I like more than this place in term of the taste, however, aesthetically-wise this palm-acai cafe is the winner“

“There were three in my party. We ducked in here to take a break from the cold rain. We ordered a chai, a golden/turmeric chai, and a caffé latté, all with oat milk. It’s our first try of oat milk. We all liked it a lot. The foam on my golden chai was lovely. I’d reorder it anytime. I tried my mate’s latté with oat milk, I can recommend it. The pastries we ordered were all worth the consumption. I’m so glad there was one pretzel cheese bun left. It was delicious even though it wasn’t warm. I highly recommend them. We also ordered a quiche, a chocolate croissant, and an almond pastry. They were all superb. The almond pastry which was super light and flaky tasted like baklava more so than an almond filling. I liked the vibe here. So often I want to grab my order and split, not here. I felt fine taking refuge from the outside environs. The staff were sweet regardless of their spoken English being nearly impossible to understand. It was cool assuming they were part of the refugee program. It felt good being a patron there and the inspired conversation it led to. I am sure my party was surprised I was already knowledgeable about the topic on current refugees. That made our café and conversation time only that much more enjoyable.“

Outdoor dining space is really nice and everyone used their PPE except when eating. I had their avocado toast on a very generous slice of homemade sourdough batard, crusty on the outside and chewy goodness on the inside. I swear they gave me an entire avocado all sliced up evenly atop lemon goat cheese spread, and then topped off with a drizzle of olive oil, sea salt, cracked pepper, and a touch of arugula and pomegranate seeds. I asked for a side of egg which they served perfectly soft boiled with a hint of sea salt and cracked black pepper. They served this dish with a cup of fruit and this cup of fruit is not ordinary. It had Fuyu persimmon, red grapes, cantaloupe, and strawberries. Their coffee is hot and strong!!! The homemade sourdough batard toast was so good, I left with an entire loaf!“

“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “Hasta Muerte quickly became my favorite coffee shop in the East Bay! I live near Emeryville but come all the way here whenever I can because it’s worth it. It’s an *actual* gathering spot with a cozy vibe, vs the generic “airy” looking (and feeling) spots all over the place with intentionally limited or no seating. The coffee and pastries are AMAZING (I had a coyota and a mazapán latte), and the staff is super friendly and generally seem like they’re having a good time which adds to the atmosphere.“

“I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. They start serving breakfast with good burritos at 8 AM and have affordable and large portions for lunch serving sandwiches, salads, and soups (or a combination, which I recommend) for less than $16 (usually $14).

It is partnered with the bar Raleigh's so there is plenty of outdoor patio dining space.

Recommend coming before 11:30 on weekdays just to beat the lunch crowd as the line outside can get quite long.“

I-House is a warm place where real friendships blossom. And from friendship and connection can sometime come love. “Hornitos are very good but outside the restaurant there is a woman who sells tamales and the other day I went to buy tamales and pupusas and I told the woman to give me salsa and curtido because that's what pupusas carry and first she told me they were $18:00 dollars and once I was there and I asked the woman to give me what the pupusas contain, she charged me $3:00 dollars more because I had asked for the sauce and curtido, but at no time did she tell me that she was going to charge me extra until that he had already put them in the bag ?️ and he told me that everywhere they were already charging me separately for everything and I told him that that was not true because I buy pupusas in several places and that nowhere did they charge me extra because that is with what goes with that meal.“
