Beautiful meal, cafe and learning opportunity about history, pre-contact cuisine, and culture that members of the Muwekma Ohlone and Rumsen Ohlone Indigenous peoples welcome their own and the broader community of xu?yun (Berkeley) to. So I was in California visiting my brother and his family and on this trip we had the pleasure of meeting my cousins daughter Allison . Allison is a volunteer at cafe Ohlone , C.O. Is a pop up restaurant in the back of university press books. The atmosphere is magical we set up in the most charming alley I've been to sitting at a beautiful redwood communal table scattered by an assortment of nuts and bowls of abalones with tea lights burning softly underneath this full review
Come here not just for an incredible meal, but for a beautiful, communal feast experience. The thoughtful intention from the hosts to invite guests to share in Ohlone history and appreciation of traditional (and utterly delicious) Ohlone foods is special in a way that I've never experienced at another restaurant. We came for their Thursday tasting and we now want to come back for everything they have to offer. It was crowded when we were there, but their attention to full review
