“This place is the bomb. A night out at the Ivy Room down the block my destination, this place was the bonus. One block walk, and I was in heaven. A huge plate filled with dishes like collard greens in a beet, shitake, and onion gravy, veggies with a tofu creama, a salad with balsamic mint dressing and a mung bean stew. All this surrounding a scoop of brown rice. Exceptional, organic and all vegan!!!”

“I ordered a bowl of farmer's fragrant and saliva chicken. Both were delicious in color and flavor. I couldn't wait to use my chopsticks before taking a photo. When I realized that there was only an empty plate left, I had to post a photo of the empty plate. All in all, it tasted great and I highly recommend it.”

“Eunice Gourmet Café is a hidden gem! The coffee was amazing. I tried The Ash sandwich and was completely blown away fresh ingredients, perfect flavors, and honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m more than willing to drive the extra distance just to have it again!

“In the world of fancy schmancy gelato, and imported European crumbled pistachio chocolate infused whatever, it's nice to have an old school ice cream place that just serves up large scoops of old school ice cream old school style, and did I mention old school. Sundays are a little expensive at around $9, but it's nice to have a spot that reminds me of the old Solano avenue.”

“Pizza here is amazing. I was out with a friend and were looking for a quick snack. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza as well as a Hawaiian. Both were delicious. Nice crust not too thin nor thick. Definitely freshly made.
Costumer service was excellent. Fair price as well.

They have a limited and pricey alcohol menu, but the servers know almost nothing about drinks.

If you find the right dish, and aren't looking for drinks, it is an ok place to eat. Servers are friendly.”

“I don't know how else to say this, and it might be a little confusing, but these burgers taste like the 90s! The food and atmosphere gave me so much nostalgia back to when everything was just simple and good. Reminded me of my childhood. You can taste the char from the grill and that signature mesquite charcoal. I don't even drink soda and I had to go back up and get a crispy ice cold coca cola to go with this food, it's just a timeless classic.”

“Best thin crust I've found in east bay; close to my favorite place in NYC when I lived in Manhattan years ago. You can't beat da deal of 2 slices AND a drink for just under 10 bucks.

“The food at this place is soooo much better than up the street at Korean Superette. If you’re looking for good food this is the one you want. The other places has a much cuter outdoor seating area but honestly the food is much worse that it’s almost not worth it.

“This place must have changed owners again. It was our go to spot for over 12 years, but then went downhill and was really bad for a while. Happy to report they are now better than ever! Best California style pizza in the Albany, El Cerrito, Kensington, North Berkelely, Richmond Annex area. Perfect thickness crust, with nice fluffy edges. Good zingy sauce with lots of flavor. Generous toppings, perfectly cooked. Arrived hot. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks you for reviving a neighborhood gem!”

“this soft serve truck is so cute and serves the best soft serve by far, with housemade chocolate sauce that hardens to a nice crunch on the ice cream. the addition of salt on it makes the perfect balance. the red truck has such a personality and the folks who work it are always so fun to chat with. and it's local! they even have a teeny tiny cone for kids and the seal is hand painted :) the line can get long, but I promise it's worth it!”

The 5 spice pork shoulder was massive but the veggie combination and dry fried Sichuan chicken were too small, particularly the dry fried chicken, because even though it was our favorite it seemed to have a disproportionate amount of dried chilies. It would have been a perfect 5 stars if the portion sizing was a bit more balanced and the drink prices weren’t so high”

“Been Shopping here for 33 years. Amy Smolens and I recently enjoyed their frozen spinach ravioli with my homemade meat sauce. Like to stock the freezer with John's homemade meatballs. Always have a variety of affordable Italian wines. I like the Sicilian Nero D'Avola reds when available. Our LOCAL Italian Albany Deli.”
