“This is my very favorite place to eat in the Bay Area. My husband and I always feel like we are absolute criminals when we eat here because we don't believe there can actually be food this good. Everything is perfect in this place, from the drinks, to the apps, to the coffee at the end of the meal. Definitely eat here. When you are done and on the way home, you will feel thrilled and victorious like you have stolen your own car!”

“We came here for dinner and had a great meal! We ordered the Thai iced tea to drink, the Lao sausages as an appetizer, and the pad see ew with beef, phao larb, and yellow curry with chicken as mains. Everything was good, and the service was excellent! The spice levels here are no joke, so definitely stay below levels 2-3. The owner is super nice, and she even explained the differences between Laotian and Thai cuisine to us!”

“I deeply appreciate the owners dedication to creating a wonderful experience for their customers. Last time we went to Everest Kitchen, we had a hiccup with our Togo order. After learning about this, the owners and staff were quick to resolve the issue! We're glad we got to give them another go because it was well worth it! My husband and I had the veggie korma, lamb curry, garlic naan, mango lassi, and samosas. The entrees were flavorful, and paired nicely with the garlic naan (of course!). The samosas are MUST try. Wow. They were phenomenal!! I love samosas already, but I find that some places tend to over bread them. These were perfect. These had a nice outer shell that wasn't too thick, so you really get to enjoy the flavors. I could have eaten the whole order to myself, they were that good! The sauces that accompany the samosas are also very tasty. 10/10. Lastly, the Mango Lassi was a great treat. It was the right level of sweetness for my husband and I. Overall, after our experience and interactions with the staff/owners, we will definitely be back and thinks it's worth giving a try for those looking for quality food/service.”

“If there’s one place that’s been a constant in my life, it’s Al’s Big Burger in Albany, CA. For the past 25 years, Al’s has been my go-to spot for the ultimate comfort food experience. From my middle school days to now, nearly turning 40, my affection for Al’s has only grown stronger.Let’s talk about the main event: the bacon cheeseburger. It’s nothing short of perfection. The burger is always cooked to juicy perfection, the bacon crisp, and the cheese melted just right, creating a symphony of flavors that dance in your mouth with every bite. Pairing this with their golden, crispy fries and the unparalleled creamy, dreamy peanut butter shake is the epitome of a classic American meal that can’t be beaten. But it’s not just the food that keeps me coming back year after year—it’s the nostalgia and the consistently warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Al’s feel like home. Walking into Al’s is like stepping into a time machine, where for a moment, you can relive those carefree days of youth while enjoying a meal that’s as delicious now as it was back then.Over the years, I’ve seen trends come and go, but Al’s Big Burger remains timeless. It’s a testament to the quality of their food and the love they put into each meal. Whether you’re a long-time local or just passing through Albany, Al’s is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of burger heaven. Here’s to Al’s Big Burger—may it continue to be a beacon of culinary delight for many more years to come. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, do yourself a favor and drop by. You might just find yourself writing a glowing review 25 years from now, too.”

Under its canopy, an apple cider starts a new legend, where you end up buying more cider to go, because it’s cosmically delicious.”

“Great little sushi place. It's a hidden gem. Ever since I stumbled upon this place, it has been my go to sushi joint. I've eaten sushi all over the bay area. Only a handful of those I would rate it 5 stars. This is one of them in that area. If you are into just rolls like 95% of the people then everywhere is about the same. But if you enjoy nigiri, sashimi and traditional Japanese food then don't pass up on this place.”
