“Friendly staff and lovely seating interior. Food was delicious with good wok fire. The sizzling seafood plate was flavorful and went well with jasmine rice. The red duck curry was delicious with sticky rice. Coconut pad Thai was very satisfying and great portion. I saw lots of take out orders getting delivered every several minutes at dinner time. Glad to find out about this restaurant as it stays open till 10 pm. Easy parking in its own lot. I will come back to try other dishes.“
“Best taco truck hands down! Ordered tripe, cow tongue, and beef tacos! Amazing flavor! The atmosphere is not so great as the truck is next to a dive bar. I get it, people get drunk and the food craving kicks in. Will be eating here indefinitely unless food quality changes. Highly recommended this taco truck! Street parking!“
“Hal's Office Coffee is an absolute gem nestled in Albany, California. From the moment you step in, you're enveloped in the warm, inviting vibes that make it the perfect spot to unwind or catch up on work. The cappuccino here is a true work of art, crafted with precision and care, boasting a rich, velvety texture and a bold espresso kick that's simply divine. But what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service provided by the friendly and knowledgeable baristas who always go above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, this is your place to come visit!“
“Wow now I know why I see so many people sitting outside this place every time I drive by. The yogurt is absolutely amazing. We had tropical yogurt it was passionfruit and guava, and my daughter absolutely loved being able to put all the toppings on her frozen yogurt. It was such a great treat, and it made for a great place to take my daughter on our special date.“
“We ordered tacos at the taco truck in the parking lot and quickly found shelter from the rain inside Hotsy Totsy. Wow, what a vibe inside. My partner says, "I didn't know places like this still exist." The drinks are strong, reasonably priced, and the vibes are immaculate. I would 10/10 return.“
“Good food from friendly people. The room is not bad, but not ' special date' nice. The heater near the door helped make us cozy. You can see by my photo how good the food was;-)Vegetarian options: Typical vegetarian Indian food dishes, but the Johi Momo was new to me, and yummy!Parking: BevMo parking lot, I think, is shared with Aangan. At least part of it anyway. Usually nearby street parking too“
“Really love Sam’s! The Chilaquiles are my go to choice and if the sun is out, a table in the sunshine is pure perfection. The staff is efficient - I would welcome a little more friendliness if they are taking notes. Also I would buy a latte every time if they would put in a mug rather than a clear glass. Lately choosing iced tea instead. I especially love coming on a weekday when there is generally no wait time. The heaters are well placed and going on cold days is still really nice.Parking: Be willing to walk 5 min and you can find free street parking.“
“Stamp your boarding passes. Travel to the cabin in the woods to the Hawaiian inspired patio or lido deck. You can enjoy a ‘snake bite’ asked a created by the bartender with care and in good company. This local watering hole is more than one would expect on the path along the bay.“
“This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the East Bay. The overall vibe is very small town, neighborly, friendly. The parklet right in front means great people watching. I mostly go here to write, when I need to get away from my computer. HAL'S never disappoints and I have not encountered unprofessional staff, just the opposite in fact. The coffee is really high end, and the quiche is always good... I just like how they have created a really nice place to be. It's teeny tiny, and feels cared for. Solano is such a vibrant neighborhood and Hal's is a big part of it.“
“This brewery is phenomenal. Lots of selection and rotation moves fast. The inside can be tight but the outside there is a space for kids to play and even a spot to reserve a party. Every once in a while they will have a jazz band that plays which is great to enjoy with the family. This brewery will do classics, IPA’s and even some unique beers like a mushroom porter. No matter what though the beer is always quality. The customer service is great and they have trivia nights, game nights, and live music. The only negative I can give this place is the beers are small batch and rotate fast. Once you get used to a beer more then likely it won’t be back which sucks cus they’re all really good. Highly recommend!“
“Food is incredibly good, the place is darling with a really good vibe…beautifully decorated. The owner and his son were the staff and they were so much fun…it was a really fun and unique experience. Support your local delicious small business!!!“
“Came here for a quick bite and ended up loving this place. The server/hostess was kind and attended us very quickly. I got a pepperoni pizza and baked wings. 10/10 on both items. I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake cookie. Was very delicious. If you're looking for a restaurant on Solano Avenue, this is the place to go!!!“
“I have seen the truck before, but finally got to try Brown Cap because they had kindly stepped up to serve ice cream at a fundraiser event for Street Spirit newspaper. I opted for the brown cap in a cone, twist (vanilla and chocolate swirl) for the flavor, and sea salt. I had the misfortune of accidentally swallowing a huge hunk of salt in my first bite, which actually stung in my throat. But later when I recovered a bit and was able to eat the rest, the chocolate shell was great, and the ice cream itself was sweet and creamy. I did find the salt quantity a bit too high for my preference. But I tried some of my partner's ice cream too, they had ordered the twist in a waffle cone with salted caramel drizzle. I'd say that is a great topping if you have a sweet tooth as it's only lightly salted. Just watch out for melting ice cream dripping down the sides!“
“First time diners. Loved the food, ambience and attitude. Was take-out but we wished we could have dined in. Such a sweet environment! We had the chicken pad Thai, pumpkin curry with pork and corn fritters. The fritters got soggy by the time we got them home but we fixed them in the toaster oven. We WILL be back!“
“Great drinks, cider, and decent selection of tequila! Hearty fried chips will stand up to their very fresh guacamole and spicy salsa. Our pork taco was cute on its on wooden serving board, the salad with chicken is always generous, but on our most recent visit, the meats were dry and bland. Better next time, I'm sure. Service is friendly and easy going, atmosphere is super casual. Good spot for a quick bite or time out with friends and family.“
“I ordered Boba milk tea regular, and there was no ice /sugar level adjustment. The drink seems watered down. I wish it could be a little sweeter... (I usually order 50%sweetness in other boba places. )The price point is the lowest around entire eastbay, however .“
“The food is creative and delicious! Dad and mom work the front of the restaurant and they are absolute gems: attentive, friendly and they make the dining experience special and fun. The food options were tantalizing and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! The experience would be even better if the interior looked more like earlier photos (less cluttered and more stylish).Vegetarian options: There are some options available.Parking: No dedicated parking, street parking only.“
