“Smooth, rich, delicious!!“
“To CP
I don’t think you have any baring on the staff at Humble Sea in Alameda. The staff there is exceptional: Sarah ( the girl with the purple glasses). She has always been knowledgeable and helpful, friendly and social with all who come into the brewery! I’m a regular there because of people like her and Chad and J. The brews are exceptional too! I think you being derrogatory is uncalled for and selfish. You should be nice when you visit breweries…just saying!“

“Coleslaw is slamming. Sweet tea is delicious and flavorful. Dino rib juicy and tender. Barbecue sauce not too sweet. Perfectly tangy. Potato salad good, cools off your tongue from the hot sausage.
Nasi Goreng, yum.
The line was fun, people are cool. You can have a good time there.
Staff super helpful.
Can't wait to come back for the chicken and the brisket.“

“I WOULD GIVE 6 STARS IF I COULD. As a non native Nigerian, I always seek out Nigerian restaurants when I travel to the larger cities. Usually, something keeps me from giving a five-star review. Sometimes, the service is slow, sometimes the person serving the food is sullen. This place is the exception. The food is good, the seven is quick. The owner, Jahswill, serves you with a smile. The bathroom is clean. Parking was easy. Highly recommended. Will be back.“

“My mom and sister and I stopped in while driving around the old navy base my mom used to be stationed at and we had an absolutely lovely time. John the bartender gave us such amazing service and the music they were playing was top tier! All the staff was so friendly and easy to talk to. The food was amazing and I discovered my new favorite cider here! Highly recommend. Amazing atmosphere and indoor and outdoor seating. Beautiful plants everywhere. Cant wait to come back! Definitely stop by!“
“Great ambience, friendly staff. Factory tour every Sunday at 3pm. Outdoor and indoor seating available- perfect for sunny weather. Wide draft beer selection - IPAs, Pils, stouts. No ciders on tap sadly, but they do have Gowan's Graveston bottled cider :)“

“I love this restaurant! I eat here regularly and I'm never disappointed. The service is amazing. Staff are so sweet and attentive, and they always accept changes to dishes for allergies or taste preferences. My dad is celiac and can eat practically everything on the menu here--huge range of gluten free options. I'm vegan and there are also so many delicious dishes I can eat, including their vegan al pastor street tacos (which are to die for) and huevos rancheros. They always accommodate my no dairy preference, even when I order online for takeout. Canasta Kitchen also has outdoor seating, which is so nice when the sun is out. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Very good main dish (salmon raviolis in lemon cream sauce) and sides. So many delicious dishes to choose from! The only negative was the blood orange cheesecake. The flavor was excellent, but texture was rubbery, like it had been sitting around awhile. The entire top layer slipped off....“

“Karibu by Wachira provided an exceptional wine tasting experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the knowledgeable staff, setting the tone for a memorable evening ahead. The ambiance of the tasting room was inviting and elegant, with a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
The wine selection curated by Wachira was truly outstanding, showcasing a diverse range of varietals and flavors that catered to both experienced wine enthusiasts and novices alike. Each pour was accompanied by insightful and engaging commentary, adding a layer of depth to the tasting experience and enhancing our appreciation for the wines.
One wine that truly stood out was the alluring Muscat, with its pronounced flavors of passion fruit and pear that lingered on the palate. I couldn't resist taking a bottle home with me. We were thoroughly impressed by the remarkable quality and complexity of each wine we had the privilege of sampling.
Overall, our wine tasting experience at Karibu by Wachira was nothing short of exceptional. From the impeccable service to the exquisite wines, every aspect came together harmoniously to create an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend Karibu to anyone seeking to elevate their wine tasting experience and embark on a delightful journey of flavors and aromas.“

“The staff here are AMAZING! Is this a dive bar? Yes. Are they gonna look at you funny is you try to order a speciality cocktail that you’re used to getting downtown San Francisco? Yep. But that’s the whole point, you’re here to drink traditional and familiar fantastic drinks! I started coming here with friends a while back and over time many of the bartenders and other employees became like friends! As a woman I always felt safe as they had their eye on everything going on, and I always had a blast anytime I came. Specifically, Peppi and Michelle, really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I had to move away and they spent money out of their own pockets to throw my a going away party at the bar. I have never experienced a closeness like this to an establishment where I’m a guest, and it was very appreciated. I am moved away now and very much miss the service and atmosphere I had at Lucky 13!“

“Ate there again outside on a beautiful day! The waitress is the best! We had the special of the day, a Veal Bratwurst cooked in an herb and butter sauce. I was using the pretzel (brotzel) to dip into the sauce. It was dreamy! My standard of lox with Potatoe pancakes always makes me smile!“

“Faction Brewing is a wonderful, local brewery! On a perfect day, enjoy a beer or cider on their patio overlooking the San Francisco Bay and city skyline. Catch it on a gloomier day and you can still enjoy a crafted beverage in their large indoor spaces. We host our annual donation drive here in the spring and the staff is always so fantastic. Highly recommend Faction Brewing!“

“Great location and selection of food and the selection is expanding from what I hear! Kid friendly and a great place to have birthday parties, happy hours, or for any reason. Indoor and outdoor seating options (dog friendly outdoors). They also have lots of TVs for MMA, European, Cricket, and all sports fanatics, inclusive of Baseball, Basketball, and Football! VJ’s also has a FULL COCKTAIL BAR! Great beer selection as well! The owner and his staff are all great. Come by and check out VJ’s! It’s next to the UPS Store at Marina Village.“

“First visit there and it's a really nice and chill spot, dogs and kids are welcome. It's down the street from the U.S.S. Hornet. I had the watermelon cider, which was very tasty and smooth. Also had some hot wings from a food truck outside which were excellent 👌“

“One of our go-tos. I’d give them 5 stars but they are kind of weird about the pesto. When you order the pesto, it’s a drizzle topping, not a tomato sauce base replacement. Who would want pesto on top of red sauce? It’s just weird. There’s no way to get a base replacement.
People are very kind. Atmosphere is fantastic,“

“If you're looking for a cool, funky-phresh, time capsule, of an old-schoolish bar with tons of Alameda history, (part of it was literally a horse stable decades ago) then the Boathouse is definitely your place. Great selection of beers, and classic cocktails. Great bar food, and plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is right. The owners are locals and are really committed to the community. It's actually the best damn neighborhood bar in Alameda, bar none!
Vegetarian options: The veggie chilli is hella good!“

“One of our favorite shops here in the East Bay. We love their açai bowls as much as their smoothies. Everything is organic which is how we like to eat. They also sell lots of conventional snacks, seeing that they're located right next to the high school, like salami, cheese and cracker snack packs, prepackaged deli items like potato and pasta salad, basic premade sandwiches like turkey or ham, and cubed fruit.“

“Although I'm only writing a review now, I've been coming to Alameda Brewing with friends for the past two years, and am overdue to support this fantastic spot.
Coming here again this past Saturday, the brewery was super lively with tons of people inside and out, but we were still able to get up to the bar quickly to order some brews.
I tried their Michelada and Island Lords IPA this time, having enjoyed many of their other beers during previous visits.
The Michelada was spicy and had a thick layer of Tajin around the edges, which was fantastic as I had plenty of Tajin to add saltiness/spice to each sip. The Island Lords was super fruity, dry, and crisp, with a nice balance of bitterness.
Although they don't serve food, it is nice they allow you to bring in outside food so my group ordered food from Monkey King which they brought straight over to us in the brewery.
Love Alameda Brewing for it's chill vibes and tasty brews! Will be back soon!“
“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at Dashe! We were there when there were no food trucks, so we brought in our own food from Costco. It was a little windy that afternoon, so the staff at Dashe brought us blankets. I had my dog with me (as many tables did) and they brought her a water bowl. The wines are reasonably priced and tasty. The staff isn't overly chatty, which is actually a plus at a winery. They checked in on us at regular intervals and did not hurry us to leave. Made for a great afternoon!“

“I'm from Italy (have lived in Philadelphia for 20 years), and I was in Alameda in 2015 for a friend's wedding. I happened upon this place, and what a joy! Not only is the owner (who ended up at our table, where we had a lovely conversation) Livornese (I'm from Tirrenia, a province of Pisa), but the food was incredible, AND he knew a number of people that I knew! It's been five years, and I really want to go back some day. BOIA! CHE GIOIA!“

“With a mix of emotions swirling within me, I feel compelled to share my review of the beloved neighborhood café I'm reluctantly bidding farewell to. A recent change in my job location means I won't have the pleasure of visiting this delightful spot anymore. Nevertheless, I can't help but sing praises for this hidden gem and the experiences I've had here. What truly sets this café apart is the exceptional service provided by the dedicated staff. The owners, in particular, go the extra mile to make every customer feel welcome and valued. Even during the chaotic morning rush and bustling mid-afternoon lunch hours, their attentiveness shines through. They consistently have my order ready, striking a balance between efficiency and quality. Now, let's talk about the café's offerings, which are nothing short of delightful. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or a lover of delectable pastries, this place has it all. As you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee instantly awakens your senses. The coffee itself is rich, flavorful, and expertly crafted, making it the perfect way to kickstart your day.As I bid farewell to this café, it's with a sense of gratitude for the memories it has given me. The combination of excellent service, carefully crafted beverages and pastries, and a cozy atmosphere make it stand out from the competition. To anyone who has the chance to visit this neighborhood café, I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try. Whether you need a quick caffeine fix or a peaceful spot to unwind, this café has got you covered. Treasure each moment you spend here, as it truly is a haven for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike.

“This place is right next door to the brewery. They make good finger food. Did not try the dishes. I only hit it with 4 instead of 5 because the waiter did not seem like he really wanted to be there. Also I did not eat at the establishment, I eat between the brewery and food place. Should you go? Absolutely!!! Maybe you will have a 5 instead of a 4!“

“I've been a wine club member for... maybe 5-6 years? Longer? I keep coming back because they offer a very good wine for their price point and I'm a wine snob on a budget! My mom loves their barbera and tasted their wine at some wine and food club in Washington. When she found out that they were in the east bay, she told me to visit. I always try to bring her home a couple bottles every time I visit!“
