Just out boppin around with my pal Allhans Ondek after spending the day on his fishing boat, looking for stripers, we were hungry and heading to the Speisekammer Restaurant for some Wiener Schnitzel. His boat, The Slippery Beaver, named after his ex-wife is moored in Alameda, and not too far from the Speisekammer Restaurant, Allhans tells me they prepare the best Schnitzel in the world! Very clear gluten free options on the menu! Service was excellent - they made me a custom non-alcoholic beverage and offered to take it back if it didn't taste good. Lovely atmosphere. Potato pancakes are amazing.

Poached beef tri-tip in horseradish cream sauce, only available for ARW 2024. Glad it's not on the regular menu. Very tender but too lean and dry. The sauce really saved the day, but only if you can handle the kick from horseradish.
