“Alameda Brewing is an amazing neighborhood spot! We met up with friends visiting from out of town, and it was the perfect, laid-back environment to catch up. The atmosphere is super family-friendly (we had all our kids in tow), the service was great, and the beer was fantastic. I loved the German Lager and the Burma Ale (fun fact: they told us it was crafted to pair perfectly with Asian food). I especially love their open food policy; we brought in some amazing BBQ from Fisque next door. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!“
“Faction Brewing is a wonderful, local brewery! On a perfect day, enjoy a beer or cider on their patio overlooking the San Francisco Bay and city skyline. Catch it on a gloomier day and you can still enjoy a crafted beverage in their large indoor spaces. We host our annual donation drive here in the spring and the staff is always so fantastic. Highly recommend Faction Brewing!“
“What's not to love about this place?
- It's got a really great selection of wines and beers (and I'm guessing NA stuff too).
- It's dog friendly.
- It's kid friendly (although, blissfully, they're usually outside).
- It's got a ton of seating and space.
- The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
You can also get food from Southies, or bring food from any of the other places along Park Street (I believe). It's a really great place to just come and sit with some friends or even alone. It can look chaotic from the street, but I find it strangely peaceful. And I can only imagine that it would be a terrific place to host a party.“
“Amazing!!!! When here today a little after 4:00 p.m. very chill / relax atmosphere. A lot of beers on tap. They even had alcoholic slushies there. I ordered four different slices of pizza and they were all good. I will definitely be going back.“

“Brix is a gem! The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable, and make great recommendations if you’re not sure which beer to order. Usually I let the bartender Kira pick a beer for me and she never misses! There’s a bunch of different food trucks that come, and a great pizza spot next door so you’re able to bring your own food. Brix also hosts fun events like animal adoption, clothing swaps, art shows, and even drag shows occasionally. Definitely a great and welcoming place to hang out and grab a drink!“
“Sante Adairius truly makes some world-class beer. They have a versatile lineup all the way from West Coast IPAs to saisons, making their taprooms a true beer lover's dream. I didn't catch our bartender's name, but he was very friendly and fun to chat with. Can't wait to come back next time we're in town!“
“Such a friendly place for a drink- they offer non-beer alcohol (sangria!) and NA beverages so there's something for every adult.
Very dog friendly place that raises a lot of funds for local charity. One of the owners, Chris, is often around welcoming everyone and may give you free samples!
They have a small bar inside with a new reading nook, and upstairs has tables and high tops. Local clubs happen upstairs, like Magic the Gathering.
Nice outdoor picnic tables. No food though (just snacks), so check out Heschers for Detroit pizza or Original Pattern for Napolitan pizza.“

And most importantly: the beer is outstanding. This pils is everything I look for — depth, balance, and character that only comes from time, care, and quality ingredients. By far the best lager in the bay- yeah I said it!

“Such a terrific little bar! Top notch, small batch beers from talented local brewers. Something for everyone: IPAs, pales, pilsners, saisons, sours, and (often) my favorite Belgian beer styles. “We went to two locations this weekend visiting from Portland & both were great! I have to rave about the service at the Barrel Room! On our way to the airport we made one last pit stop & the bartenders were AWESOME. Beer was fresh & delish. Building is dope. Lotsa kids really isn’t our thing but it’s so spacious you have plenty of room to vibe. Accidentally knocked my beer off the table & was rewarded for my bad behavior with a fresh brew on the house because accidents happen! So good. ? Will be back.“
“We came to the new Standard Deviant at Pier 70 (second San Francisco location) to celebrate a friend's birthday, and much like my previous visits, I was pleasantly surprised by how vibrant and busy the space was. It makes complete sense. The venue is absolutely tailor-made for large groups, and it’s incredibly kid- and dog-friendly.
The Space & Vibe: The architecture here is stunning. Built with sleek modern styling and reclaimed steel from the historic shipyard, the massive accordion doors create a seamless indoor/outdoor flow. With its high ceilings and exceptional natural light, the interior is beautifully sun-soaked, catching a perfect light breeze right off the bay. It delivers those scenic waterfront views while maintaining the distinct, welcoming design language that Standard Deviant is known for.
The Beer & Service: The team handles the crowds beautifully. Service was fantastic, fast, and friendly. As for the drinks, the beer selection is incredibly refreshing, featuring a great lineup of diverse, true-to-style brews.
Verdict: This brewery is a phenomenal addition to Pier 70 and an absolute go-to spot in the city for casual group gatherings, great design, and excellent bay-front beers. Highly recommended!“

“For sake and wine lovers alike this place is a must! Learn about Sake while enjoying a guided tasting to help you deepen your knowledge about the difference between each type of Sake available. The next step is to watch a short video of how Sake it’s actually brewed followed by a visit to their museum where they have gathered many of the old and original equipments to brew Sake, I haven’t seen anything like this anywhere in the US. I hope you too enjoy it as much as we did!“
“I LOVE this pizza. Knuckle head flavor is my favorite (sausage, red onion, mushrooms). A lot of meat eaters and vegetarians love and prefer their Margherita. It's a thin pizza, similar to New York, I hear. Love their crust. Quality ingredients. Eat it fast as it cools down quickly. Careful with the first slice as the crust is very thin and the toppings can slide off. I love that we can enjoy beverages at Fieldwork and enjoy Citizen Pizza at the tables. I prefer their knucklehead, but my partner prefers Margherita. So, what to do? No worries! Depending on which you pick, you can get these two flavors, one flavor on each half of the pizza - half and half. They'll just charge you for the pricier costing one.

“This has become my favorite brewery to refresh after a bicycle ride across the Berkeley/Oakland hills. They have a huge beer selection and offer all kinds of tasty sandwiches in a relaxing garden atmosphere. I usually order a hefeweizen (relatively low on alcohol) to make it up Grizzly Peak again. After a stronger beer consumption there is always the North Berkeley BART station around the corner as last resort.“
