Ghost Town Brewing - Laurel Biergarten & Kitchen is a neighborhood staple offering rotating menus and seasonal beer made at their West Oakland location. The food is excellent, featuring elevated bar food like wings so good one reviewer doesn’t go to Wingstop anymore, plus a shrimp burger, fried fish tacos, pretzel, and chicken wings. They have great non alcoholic options, great cider, a homemade hard seltzer, and soft drinks. The beer selection includes a good variety of IPAs, light beers, sours, and a $3 house beer. The vibe is fun, unpretentious, inviting, and warm, not a dive. It is dog-friendly with water bowls, kid-friendly, and sports game friendly. All outdoor seating has tents and heat lamps for inclement weather, perfect for a sunny day in Oakland. However, please respect basic restaurant etiquette—this is not a playground. No one wants to be liable for children running into hot food or concrete. The staff is friendly, the energy is great, and the prices are reasonable with fair pricing. Street parking is easy. A great neighborhood gem for Laurel with a laid-back crowd, good music, and a chill vibe.
