My friend had the chicken sandwich which was so juicy she said she would need a shower after she got home.🤣 she had the lemon cheesecake and I had the plain. They both were delicious! All out of the soft rolls. Had the Dutch crunch and I asked for it to be toasted which they forgot to do. Bread was cold dense and chewy. The rest was on point. No napkins in the bag though. “I saw the ratings and didn't know what to expect. Brought my family here to avoid the Berkely Parents' Weekend crowds. I was so pleasantly surprised the quality of the food and service. The roti is so fresh - perfectly crispy and chewy. The spices on the food and house coconut dipping sauce offered so much flavor - we were all blown away. Our kids loved the Thai Tea. “This was a great experience for us. The restaurant is in a rough looking neighborhood and parking was quite difficult as there is only street parking available. The restaurant has a few booths inside for small parties and a large garden patio with benches for larger parties. We had dinner on a Sunday evening and had a relatively short wait. We ordered both the cold and hot soba as well as the smoked duck breast. The duck was superbly done served chilled, the soba was out of this world. You can tell there was a lot of Care that went into the making of the noodles. Each bite breaks cleanly through the bouncy soba. If you have the opportunity to share in this experience I strongly suggest you make your way there.“

“My BF lived in Oakland for a couple of decades and never been here; so we thought we’d give it a try. Seems quite authentic, though we couldn’t quite stomach the fermented pork sausage. My mom who visits from out of state has bought a tote bag, hat, and sweatshirt from Redfield just so she can flex to her friends back home how awesome this bar is. Very dog friendly place that raises a lot of funds for local charity. One of the owners, Chris, is often around welcoming everyone and may give you free samples!

The soy milk was amazing! Very smooth and slightly sweet even though it wasn't sweetened. No burnt taste.
