“This is everything I want from a deli, nothing more nothing less. My son loves the pastrami sandwich and always asks to come here. The Dutch Crunch is on a different level here… feels like a free upgrade to every sandwich tbh! In addition to the pastrami, I also love the Italian and the Ultimate Veggie sandwich. Haven’t tried the panini options but they seem popular bc people are always ordering it when I’m waiting for my order. Oh and huge chip selection is also a plus!“

The roti is so fresh - perfectly crispy and chewy. The spices on the food and house coconut dipping sauce offered so much flavor - we were all blown away. Our kids loved the Thai Tea. “This was a great experience for us. The restaurant is in a rough looking neighborhood and parking was quite difficult as there is only street parking available. The restaurant has a few booths inside for small parties and a large garden patio with benches for larger parties. We had dinner on a Sunday evening and had a relatively short wait. We ordered both the cold and hot soba as well as the smoked duck breast. The duck was superbly done served chilled, the soba was out of this world. You can tell there was a lot of Care that went into the making of the noodles. Each bite breaks cleanly through the bouncy soba. If you have the opportunity to share in this experience I strongly suggest you make your way there.“

“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “Beeryland is absolutely fantastic. I've been coming here for the star trek trivia for almost two years. The adult slushies are yummy, and so is most of the food. I don't know if the kimchi grilled cheese is still on the menu, but it's a divisive item. My friends like it but I despise it. Use caution. As you can see by the state of my AmInal Fries (yes the spelling is correct), I am one happy customer. Four stars on the atmosphere because the bathroom could use a facelift, but it is a bar. “Just go! There's a parking lot so you won't need to circle to find a spot. The food is INCREDIBLE!
And they have a little hidden oasis in the back where one can eat a crazy good burger & spiced fries.

“My BF lived in Oakland for a couple of decades and never been here; so we thought we’d give it a try. Seems quite authentic, though we couldn’t quite stomach the fermented pork sausage. The fried version was good of course. Jeo Pa Dach was excellent, as was the quail. We’ll come back to try other dishes! It’s a small, simple, no frills restaurant.“

“Stopped by this spot in Oakland to check out their food. Had heard they had gray Puerto Rican food but wanted to check it out for myself. Got lucky and had the owner/chef there and gave wonderful recommendations, samples and the history behind his grandmothers famous rice and beans. Once in a lifetime experience. We left full, and excited to spread the word. This place is a must stop, you won’t be disappointed! The black building with the Puerto Rican flag on top makes it easy to spot. Chef Eric has a big heart and great food. We will be back VERY SOON!!!“

“An incredible spot to enjoy some top quality draft ciders. I'm not an expert on ciders by any means, but I've had some incredible stuff here (I've particularly loved anything I've had from Yonder). The vibes here are great, the bartenders are lovely, and they have some great merch for sale! My mom who visits from out of state has bought a tote bag, hat, and sweatshirt from Redfield just so she can flex to her friends back home how awesome this bar is. If you enjoy cider, or even if you just want to stop in for a quick beer, this is a great and classy place to come to. Love Redfield!“

“Sante Adairius was such a perfect spot for our wedding welcome party. They have an awesome back room that was a great size for our guests and allowed us to have a private space without closing down the front bar to regular patrons. Ruben, the manager, was great to work with during the planning phase, even working with us to get a food truck into the back for our guests. The beer is great, and they have a good variety of other drinks (wines, mocktails, etc.). And the night of, the staff was fantastic. We’re so happy we found this spot for our party, and will definitely be going back for beers in the future.“

“Really great spot for some Egyptian food. The restaurant is tiny and has an authentic feel to it but is fine for take way for very small group dining. We tried the shawarma and it was amazing. One of the best shawarma I've ever had. Very unique. The sauces and the veggies really make it but the chicken itself is very tasty too.“

“Such a friendly place for a drink- they offer non-beer alcohol (sangria!) and NA beverages so there's something for every adult.

Very dog friendly place that raises a lot of funds for local charity. One of the owners, Chris, is often around welcoming everyone and may give you free samples!

They have a small bar inside with a new reading nook, and upstairs has tables and high tops. Local clubs happen upstairs, like Magic the Gathering.

Nice outdoor picnic tables. No food though (just snacks), so check out Heschers for Detroit pizza or Original Pattern for Napolitan pizza.“

“Brix is a gem! The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable, and make great recommendations if you’re not sure which beer to order. Usually I let the bartender Kira pick a beer for me and she never misses! There’s a bunch of different food trucks that come, and a great pizza spot next door so you’re able to bring your own food. Brix also hosts fun events like animal adoption, clothing swaps, art shows, and even drag shows occasionally. Definitely a great and welcoming place to hang out and grab a drink!“
